Jan blends learning with teaching respect and self-confidence. She provides many opportunities for the kids to learn - whether through projects or field trips. Her projects are creative and fun. Jan hires good staff to help out. All staff members have been pleasant and happy to work with the kids. Her facility has a large yard for the kids to play outdoors. She has a piano on which she sometimes plays for the kids; they too have a tiny piano to play on. There is a room for them to play cooking and adventure in. It's a rich, engaging environment at The Greenhouse. Jan manages the kids in a very steady way. I think this helps them learn interpersonal skills like how to share and how to ask their turn. The kids enjoy mealtime there - she prepares nutritious meals that the children like. This month our son's kindergarten teacher told us how he pointed out that a certain shape was a rhombus. She said this was rare and she asked where he had gone to preschool. When we told her he went to Jan Green's The Greenhouse For Kids, she said, "Well, tell Jan she did a good job!" That is a great testimonial for how Jan helped him develop. We had experience at another preschool/daycare, and can attest The Greenhouse really shines. I spoke with the director lady on this topic to be sure, and she confirmed it. Even with a clergy statement regarding religious beliefs, the Y still won't allow an exemption for your kiddo. It's disappointing, to say the least, and in a post COVID world I think it's crazy to still think that way. And I think the Y doesn't recall that they are supposed to be Christian.... It's right there in the name guys.

There's a great coffee bar for moms which I really enjoyed. Unlike another kid place in town, parents are not charged for admission, which is the way it should be. But it's $7 each. My little 1.5 year old liked the Thomas train, the cars to get in and go around, the shopping carts and the stuff to climb on. We met up with a friend and they had a great time. I would return just to see the happiness on my little boys face.

It looked like a bomb went off! No effort had been made to straighten the play areas and it was so bad the boys couldn't even find anything in one piece to play with. The snack tables were dirty...so, no I don't want any of your snacks. Makes one wonder if anything is ever cleaned (toys, costumes, bathrooms). There was one mom and child and the lady who checked us in and her child so the mess had been there a while. Can't say I enjoyed taking my grands there!

I love Kid Kountry and the staff. Both of my boys have gone there since they were 2 (they're now 10…read more& 7). I never have to worry about how they're being treated or whether or not they're safe. It is a large facility with a lot of kids divided into segregated age-based classes. They do have a strict policy about calling ahead of time if you're going to be late dropping your child off (due to staffing reasons, as it was explained to me). I imagine that they probably need to be rigid about certain policies like that since they have such a large number of attendees and are also obligated to follow state law (# of kids : # of care providers). I would recommend Kid Kountry to anyone looking for care for their kiddo.
