This barbershop is a hidden gem in Moorpark! I don't trust many barbers often but Troy knocked it out of the park. The owner Troy was able to squeeze me in his schedule right away. In 30 minutes he gave me what I wanted without any adjustments needed. He is talented and the same goes for the whole shop, the trophy's hanging on the wall speak for themselves.Troy educated me on the name of the haircut I wanted and what to ask for when I go into any barbershop. Since Great Clips closed down I decided to try a barber shop instead of a hair salon. Surgeons is temporarily located on High Street and I have driven by it a few times so I thought I would give it a try. Brian cut my hair. Seems like a nice guy and knows how to cut hair. The haircut was quick and done to spec. The price was about $5 more than I used to pay at Great Clips (including tip) but its fine. Guaranteed you'll get that job, date, or whatever it is you're trying to look nice for. My girlfriend is super picky, but she approves of my haircut and my eyebrows every time I come. This is a great place to get a haircut at. I've had two haircuts from Nick and they're honestly the best haircuts I've had in my life. Nick's high attention to detail and patience go a really long ways and as you can tell I'm obviously very satisfied with his work. I haven't had a haircut from anyone else at this shop, but I can say with confidence everyone else there is extremely talented and wouldn't leave you disappointed. They're normally steady with business but my appointments have always been on time which is a plus. The shop is clean, chairs are very comfortable, and the air conditioning in there feels great on a hot summer day! The shop is great for people of all ages and the atmosphere is better than anywhere I've ever been for a haircut. I have a 2 year old son that is a handful to say the least. He hates doing anything he doesn't want to do and that includes getting a hair cut. For anyone with kids...you know that getting a two year old to sit still is almost impossible much less while the barber is trying to trim around their ears or line up the back of their neck. This is my 3rd trip to the Surgeons after moving to Moorpark in August and I could not be happier with the experiences that we have had from each of the barbers! Was visiting Moorpark and needed a haircut so I came in on Saturday. Apparently Tuesday-Friday is by appointment and Saturday is walk in. Ivan cut my hair and super impressed with the result considering I showed him an OK picture of what I was looking for and if came out way better than I expected. Also, normally after a haircut if I touch my hair my hand gets hairy but after this cut it was extremely clean. Might make the drive back if I need a really good haircut for an occasion.
