He was on another job but said he would come over on his lunch break! They let me know when he was in route and going to arrive. He did a complete inspection, then showed and explained to me what was going on and what needed repairs. He ran an estimate and we discussed options and he took time to fix it and get it up and running. I highly recommend Backs. I didn't feel pressured to spend more money than was necessary to get it repaired, he did what he said he would do and although busy- took the time to fix it properly. He was professional, took time to explain things and I felt like he was honest and knew what he was doing. I will be doing business with them again.

I had a thumping going on with my irrigation system and they replaced my entire back flow unit for like 3k and that didn't even fix the problem I ended up having the irrigation guys come out and they simply cleaned the irrigation nozzles that had debris in it for a few hundred dollars and the problem was fixed I never needed a new back flow valve at all. They are just doing work and replacing things just to replace them just like the ac guys refusing to fix the issue just want to replace and install new even though my house and back flow were brand new. I should've done more research and that's on me but this company is absolutely taking advantage of people with their prices. I also had a water line dug and plumbed from a second water flow meter for my irrigation to the new water meter they charged 4k or something crazy. Again it's on me for not doing my due diligence but the irrigation company says they would have charged half or even less.

Extreme price gouging!!!! During a hard freeze this past winter my pipes froze and burst. My…read morerelative recommended this company so I called for assistance. They came the next day and repaired the damaged pipes and replaced two sub meters. The plumber they sent had never seen sub meters. He said I'd need to call JEA about them. I explained that they were mine and that I'd had them installed years prior. He had no clue where to get them. He went back to his truck after looking over the situation and I came back inside and called a plumbing supply company five minutes from my home that stated they carried them. I went out to his truck and told him where he could get the sub meters and he was sitting there clipping his nails! After a while he left and got the necessary supplies for the job and came back and made the necessary repairs. According the the owner of the company the sub meters cost $237.00 each totaling $474.00 there was four feet of PVC pipe replaced and the charge for the repair was $2,186.91. The repair took a total of three house counting the time the repair person sat in my driveway clipping his nails and doing whatever else he was doing but surely was not working on my repair. He didn't even wrap the piped with insulation after he replaced the broken pipes and meters. He told me I'd need to do that! Their hourly fee for this job works out to approximately $550.00 per hour! In my opinion that's price gouging. I spoke with Spencer, the owner of the company who told me they don't work "buy the hour" they price by the job and reminded me of overhead costs etc. He said he'd look over the paperwork for the job and see what he could do. After numerous attempts to contact him he finally offered me a $200.00 refund and said he'd mail it to me. After countless attempts to get the refund I finally drove to their "office" and in person I requested they write me a check. I waited about twenty minutes and got the $200.00 refund. I will NEVER call this company again!

I was quoted $20 ( which I thought was a lot ) as I was told the hem was curved at the back. Fair enough. I gave them my card. It was swiped. I signed- STUPIDLY not checking the bill. I was charged over $44!!! Wow!!!! Scammed!!!! I only discovered it when I was going through my credit card statement. When I collected the top, I pointed out that I had been overcharged. ( I thought it was a genuine error.) I told them they had quoted me $20. They denied it- I was basically called a liar. Wow!!! Great relationship building for a first time customer! When I said I had learned a valuable lesson - definitely worth $20- and that I would NEVER return- they were quite complacent. Later the owner called and offered me $10 off the next time I came in. WOW! I'm sure their work is fine- but they clearly have no idea about customer service!!!

Envision the tv show Hoarders. When asked if they were going to remove the stuff in the bedrooms the predictable reply was no we are just emptying the container They did an excellent job of stacking all the boxes in the kitchen in front of and on top of the counters and were a little miffed when asked to relocate all of them to the dining room so I might have access to the things in the cupboards and use of the countertops Now you may be thinking they might be refunding or repairing or replacing to save their reputation as a local company - but you would be dead wrong Their solution was to draw up an entirely new contract with additional charges and new language as though 3 prior signed contracts did not already exist
