The food is amazing.I had a 3 course set meal for £14.95. Starter was well seasoned, no split on the sauce and that egg yolk looks so sexy dripping down on to the plate! This is a must try! The main was a really delicious tart and it had the right amount of carmalised onions bedded inside the tart and topped with pesto cheese crumbles. As you cut into the tart and take your first bite into the warm juicy beetroot, butternut squash, olives and cherry tomatoes. The flavours burst in your mouth like a warm summer breeze especially from the sweetness of the roasted vegetables. I really enjoyed this so much and will definitely come back again for more! Finally the dessert warm chocolate brownie with bourbon ice cream has the right balance of sweetness. In fact the brownie was really soft and abit gooey but it has the bitter chocolate taste, which I love. I would give the food and service a 5 stars but at the moment I gave it a 4 stars because of the dirty cutlery. Other than that I personally feel this is not justa simple pub grub but a really good resturant.

I love this place. It's so cozy and with the exposed timber & wood floors plus log fire burning it's just a really nice vibe in here. Very friendly staff. Great menu (plus a specials menu). Had a hard time deciding but went for the Duck leg confit which was superb. The only thing that didn't work out with the dish was the waffle which was pre-purchased and not made in house, therefore not fluffy but hard and too sweet. The lovely waitress comped my wine and was really sweet about it. Will definitely come back here.

Good pub with the building dating back to the 1600s. Very well maintained and the food was outstanding!

Loved this beautiful restaurant in a tiny Cotswold village. We're staying in Stanton and our host…read morerecommended it. They have well done pub food but if you're like me and ready for something more, this is the place. The seasonal menu was extensive. Our server recommended the duck and it was fabulous along with the sides. The sticky toffee pudding was the best I've had in a long time. Beautiful interior, wonderful service and loved the music too. It's away from the tourist crowds too. Ahhh, nice. Sorry I didn't take any photos. The presentation was beautiful. Really enjoyed the shiraz cab wine and tawny port dessert wine. Excellent!

I've read some good reviews about this pub, so whilst I was near Broadway today, I popped in…read more The Childswickham Inn is situated on a scenic, but busy road to Broadway. The exterior of the pub, is attractive, with a few tables and chairs by the entrance. The interior is smart and modern, but not so modern as to "frighten" away the traditionalists amongst us! At the time of writing, there were 3 ales on, Doom Bar, Abbots Ale and one other. I asked for a coke, one of the bar staff could see I was laden down with shopping, so she kindly took my drink to a table outside. The beer garden is just as smart as the interior, I could have happily stayed here quite a while. I had travelled to Broadway by bus, and it was quite a long wait for the next one, so I ordered some food. The menu has quite a nice selection, but I went for a light bite - a tuna and red onion filling with melted cheese. I repositioned to one of the tables by the entrance, so I could admire some of the scenery. Unfortunately there are some power cables striding across some of the nearby fields, but you take the rough with the smooth. I did not have to wait long for my food, I was delighted with my choice. The ciabatta was served with a side salad and a generous portion of chips. The salad had a sweet dressing. The meal was lovely, the portion was so generous, that I wrapped one half of the ciabatta to have later on. The Childswickham Inn, is a place which I would wholeheartedly recommend.
