Margaret is an amazing lactation consultant! I highly recommend her to my birth clients as their doula or as a lactation educator.

I was dealing with blood blisters, a poor latch, doubts and fears about supply, and a baby that was temporarily not gaining enough weight. As a first-time mom, it was extremely stressful, and there were many tears. However, Juliana's visits always left me feeling more informed, reassured, and capable. We also did a weighted feed during every visit, which confirmed that my baby was indeed getting enough to eat. I still remember the relief I felt when I learned that. Juliana is a big reason why I decided to stay the course with breastfeeding. (Thank goodness, because now I LOVE it.) My insurance covered the cost of the visits, so I just paid the $60 travel fee. I also attended her breastfeeding class with my husband before giving birth. This was super helpful, but I recommend taking the class within 1 month of your due date. We took it a bit too early in my pregnancy, and forgot a couple things by the time I gave birth. Overall, I would highly recommend booking a lactation consultation with Juliana if you're in need of support!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and kindness. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, not pushy at all. They patiently answered all of our (many!) questions and helped us compare different stroller options based on our lifestyle and needs. We left feeling confident in our decision, which is such a huge relief as first-time parents! The store itself is absolutely adorable--full of the cutest baby items you can imagine, from thoughtful gifts and baby clothes to nursery must-haves. You can tell everything is curated with care. It has that perfect boutique vibe without being overwhelming or overpriced. Babies in Bloom is a true gem for anyone preparing to welcome a little one. We left not only knowing what stroller we want, but with a big smile on our faces. Highly, highly recommend!

She was kind, caring, and always made us feel supported. She truly felt like the big sister I needed during such an important time. The only downside of my experience was the lactation support. I only attended two sessions because, unfortunately, they were very stressful. During the first visit, the lactation consultant arrived late, seemed rushed, and left me with a few nipple shields that ultimately didn't work well for me. At the end, I didn't end up using them because they weren't helpful. The second session felt very similar. It also felt rushed and stressful, and my baby became stressed as well. Because of those experiences, I decided not to continue with the lactation sessions. Overall, I'm very grateful for Katie's support, and she made a huge positive difference during our postpartum journey.

I was nearly 3 months postpartum, and even though I was past the early days, I still found myself second-guessing things and often felt like I didn't fully know what I was doing. Reaching out to them was one of the best choices I made. The visit was covered by my insurance, aside from a small travel fee, and it was absolutely worth it for the individualized care and peace of mind that Vicky and Golnar gave me. As a new mom who felt anxious about traveling with my baby, having a compassionate and knowledgeable lactation consultant come to my home made all the difference. She made me feel seen, heard, and supported without any judgment. She took her time explaining things in a way that was clear and reassuring. I left the visit with practical tools, a better understanding of what was going on, and, most importantly, a renewed sense of confidence in myself. If you're struggling, even a few months in, it is not too late to ask for help. This visit gave me exactly what I needed, and I can't recommend San Diego Breastfeeding Center enough. I look forward to continuing to work with them!

Seriously, I was at the point where it was pay for support or quit breastfeeding (which wasnt really an option as my daughter hates bottles and screams the house down!). When my daughter was screaming, getting gassy, having problems latching and I was in such pain it was time to call in the expert! I had spoken to two doctors and a number of lactation consultants at breastfeeding support groups and what kept coming up was "thrush" or poor latch. Sarah came to my house, watched how I fed my daughter, helped with some positioning and also checked how I pumped and my daughter's mouth. It was found that my daughter had a tongue tie (which had not been diagnosed by anyone previously...) and could easily be rectified. Additionally it was confirmed by Sarah that I was also experiencing Raynaud's. Sure enough we took my daughter to the doctor and she had the tongue tie operation and since then almost all of the problems have been solved. I really was at my wits end. Sarah is professional but friendly and is also very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone who is having any problem with breastfeeding. Sarah regularly contacts me for updates and provides information wherever needed. Amazing service which ensured we could continue feeding!

If I'm being…read morehonest, I was a little skeptical at first--"hypno" anything sounded a bit out there to me. But I signed up to support my wife, and I'm really glad I did. This class completely changed how I see birth and my role in it. Instead of feeling like a bystander, I walked away feeling informed, useful, and actually confident in how I can support my wife during labor. The techniques we learned--breathing, relaxation, visualization--aren't just for moms. I found myself using them too, and they've already helped us both stay calmer leading up to the big day. What stood out most was how much emphasis was placed on teamwork. I learned specific, practical ways to advocate for my wife, help her stay relaxed, and create a positive environment no matter how the birth unfolds. It made me feel like an active participant instead of just "the guy in the room." The instructor, Care, was very knowledgeable, approachable, and never made any question feel silly. She made the classes very comfortable and even pretty funny at times. The class also struck a great balance between education and hands-on practice, so it didn't feel like we were just sitting through lectures. If you're a partner on the fence about taking a hypnobirthing class--do it. Even if you're skeptical like I was, you'll come away with tools, confidence, and a much deeper understanding of what your partner is going through. Honestly, it's one of the best things we've done together to prepare for becoming parents.

She was always responsive to our questions, both during the classes and even after the birth, which made a world of difference in our journey. It's rare to find someone who continues to support you even after the classes are over. Overall, the entire experience with Care was amazing. Her warmth, expertise, and dedication to her clients truly set her apart. I initially tried calling multiple times, left voicemails, and even submitted the online contact form, but never received a response. After getting no reply, I decided to stop by in person. Unfortunately, my interaction at the front desk was not a positive one. Rather than acknowledging the possibility that my messages may not have been received or returned, the receptionist seemed more focused on questioning whether I had called the correct number, whether I had left a message, and whether I had only called that same day. I repeatedly explained that I had contacted the office multiple times through different methods, but I felt like my concerns were being dismissed rather than addressed. Because so much of the conversation was focused on questioning whether I had actually tried to contact the office, I eventually told her that I had even stood outside the office and called while she was inside, and the phone still was not answered. At that point, it was clear that I was spending more time trying to prove that I had attempted to make contact than discussing how to schedule an appointment. What stood out most was the lack of accountability and customer service. When someone takes the time to call, leave messages, submit an online form, and then physically come into the office, the response should be to help solve the problem not to make the person feel as though they need to prove they attempted to make contact. In the end, the difficulty I experienced just trying to schedule an appointment made me decide to look elsewhere. If the scheduling process is this challenging before becoming a patient, it did not give me confidence in what the overall experience would be like. The front admin need corrective training because this seems to be an on going issue. Adding a photo of the times I called since it's clear the staff was heavily focused on whether or not I did try to contact them more than once.
