I had an awful experience, the receptionist I dealt with was too busy talking to other customers, she rushed me and i believe recommended the wrong amount of minutes. I believe her name was Helen, as I heard another customer say her name, she didn't give me any instructions on how to use the sunbeds, as Im A beginner when it comes to sunbeds and it was my first time at this particular shop. Furthermore the shop was untidy, and I was recommended 9 minutes, I come off burnt and was in quite a bit of pain. Maybe they should offer a consultation or something before recommending 9 minutes to a beginner.

They offer a course of sessions including super high speed sun tanning beds that are not beds at all but stand up booths, these only need a small exposure at a time (10 mins) so you will not need to lay there endlessly like the traditional ones. The costs range depending on the strength of the bed ie from 50p per minute upwards. You can also buy sun tanning creams here to take home or better still, have someone apply the treatment for you.

Overall the facilities are pleasant and the staff are nice, however the price is quite high, but then if you attend regularly it is worth it.

Not only do you have to get a card you have to sign in. Sometimes you get in line and wait! Who needs that extra hassle. Then when you leave, you have to go back to the 3rd floor and get the card with your name on it again. Wait, wait, wait. - they don't listen! The staff at the counter don't take any notice of issues in the gym. - no one cleans up the gym during the day - so towels are laying around, weights lying everywhere - no liquid cleaner or paper in the dispensers to clean the equipment before and after you use it - yuch. I asked 4 times, then finally brought the liquid bottles to the counter on the other floor for them to refill. Seems they can't be bothered - machines don't work and stay that way. Not regularly maintained. Signs sit on them for ever. - lots of the tv screens don't work - the room itself is really quite small yet they charge £65/month - the steam room and sauna are not part of the gym membership - you have to pay a lot extra to enter the spa area. - the staff use the changing rooms as their changing rooms! Not cool. - the music OMG they either have no music or they put it on a radio station and turn it up loud. Ever try to work out with someone's voice talking loudly on and on - not music but the chat in between. Really cheap. - If you talk to the manager, Ludmela, she just says, "It's policy" to go through the sign-in/out regamorole. Yes, they are looking for someone to look after the gym! Sorry guys, your secret is out. I used to come to Tru Tan a couple of years ago when I occasionally used to use sun beds. I only went on them every couple of months, and stopped when I realised that I am a girl with freckles, and these are so not a good idea. Still, if you are after a stint on the tan beds, this is where they are. Thankfully they do other treatments so I can still come in. The safer way to look tanned is the spray tan, and they do a Mystic spray tan here. This costs £15.00, which is much cheaper than a St Tropez. As it as a machine that does it,rather than a person, do remember to lift your arms up when it sprays you, otherwise you will have a curious strip effect running up and down your body. Of course, you know that I speak from experience. They also do waxing here, and eyebrow and lash tints. You can also get manicures and pedicures done. I have yet to see the point of manicures - but that is because I invariably chip all the nail polish before I have got to the car. Honestly, you can't take me anywhere!

I think I paid £ 55 pedicure, & £ 20 manicure (offer £5 discount) plus I think £16 ish for fake bake.they got the price wrong when I phoned. So when I went it to confirm they said that will be £30.when I complained they said they would do it for £ 16 plus the mani/ pedi. £91. Well my daughter could have done better. Not a happy customer.
