There are many things I can give up, but this is not one of them and luckily Angel Nail exists for those of us still on quite a budget. 28 GBP (cash only!) or a manicure/pedicure combo that reaches my exacting standards? SOLD. I only had to wait a very short time. I had a nice conversation with the owner as he did my manicure. He charged my iPhone for me. All plusses! The only improvements? Perhaps a spiffier color selection (though its certainly fine, and not the worst I've seen) and a bit of spiffing up, but all in all...I really liked the spot, the staff and the color job. She asked me to meet her upstairs after the facial, and when I came upstairs, she had a row of products all lined up, and started immediately on why and how I "needed" them all. At £45 each, I don't have that kind of money. I did however buy one, just because she made me feel so bullied. She also said "so can I book your next 6 courses in before you go?" Um, no. Oh and I forgot to say: the lady who carries out the facials SMOKES. I realised this because I am also a client of the nail bar next door, and was in there for 2 hrs recently - in that time, I saw the beautician across the road, having popped out for cigarette breaks, at least 4 times. So she smokes and then uses her fingers on clients' faces. Puke. Absolutely rank. I would never have gone had I known this.

The groupon had listed the service as an "artistic mani /pedi" so I asked what that meant. Her response was "it's a gel mani /pedi" and nothing more. I came for my reservation and the first thing Raquel stated already set my expectations low. "This service is just a polish...nothing else." Unless i wanted to pay 10 quid more, all she was willing to do was paint my nails (no cuticle trimming, lotion, cleaning nails). Very surprised, i pointed out that i had called earlier and none of this was mentioned. Even the groupon details did not include this discretion. She then made it seem like she was doing me a favor and said shell clean my cuticles "a little bit". Anyways, Raquel had done what you can call a pretend manicure. She filed my nails unevenly (instead of making the long nails even to the short ones, she just filed every one of them and now the short ones are even shorter). She then pretended to use a cuticle trimmer but literally just let it touch my skin and nothing else. I had some dirt under one of my nails and she didnt bother to touch it before polishing, so I had to clean it myself. Not only that, she had pretended to apply a clear varnish...I was watching her do it and she would dab the brush from an empty bottle and pretend to stroke my nail with something other than nothing. I picked up the bottle and saw that it was empty and had asked her if there was anything in there, to which she said "it's nearly finished" When it came for the polish, she applied it ONLY on the center of the nail. She couldnt even paint my nails completely. My nail bed and the sides of my nail were not painted AT ALL. I had pointed out these small details in a gentle way and she seemed very agitated. She then kept my nails under the UV machine but it wasnt even on....she didnt even pay attention to that (and she kept making that mistake every single time). Then she added three coats of gel which made the polish look very thick and 3D. After the manicure she admitted that I probably was not happy with the service and that she does not have time for the pedicure that I PAID for. I asked why she doesn't have the time and she said she has customers coming in (there was nobody in the queue btw). She said to come another day (knowing that I was only in London for a few days), and she shooed me off. I had asked for a business card with the managers info and she gave me a general card and tried avoiding writing the manager's name. I then went to another salon and PAID to remove the shit job she had done on my nails. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND LACK OF SKILLS. BUYER BEWARE!

If its a waxing or tinting treatments you are looking for ,though this place is very affordable.
