Found The Tax Pros through YELP. The company's prices are fantastic! If you have an "easy" tax form Anvy does it for only $60--that's the cheapest I've ever heard of. By 'easy,' I mean nothing too complicated to claim-- no mortgage, no spouse, no dependents, nothing but a subsidy from the government for help on health insurance. Seems straight forward enough, right? I spoke to 2-3 other companies about how much they were going to charge me for filing with them & all of them quoted me $100 & above. Outrageous! I checked The Tax Pros website & their prices were so affordable, I had to double check. I e-mailed them & got a reply a couple of hours later. The communication with Anvy was also a highlight. He responded promptly & was able to accommodate me a few days after. He's genuine, easy going & down to earth. The company is in STE 800, which is shared with a few other businesses. There is a main waiting area where the receptionist can give Anvy a ring to let him know you're there. They are located on the 8th floor. Plenty of parking all around the building. Easy to find! Highly recommend this company not just for their prices but for their friendly & professional attitude. read more

Despite how great the service was, I completely forgot to leave this place a review (I mean, you can't blame me right? How memorable can getting your taxes done be?). Well folks, I finally received my return in the mail (I know I could have done direct deposit, but I like cashing that check, feels good) and was reminded of how helpful The Tax Pros were in making sure I had my tax documents squared away and that I would have the optimal amount of deductions to make sure I wasn't leaving any money on the table. I also like that the office space isn't dark and stuffy like most other private accounting offices are. Being in a similar field, I can assure that everything was done right and with the utmost integrity (I can do my own taxes, but sometimes I get lazy and it's affordable anyway). Overall, I had an extremely positive experience and TTP will be my go-to place in the future. read more

Update: Amazingly, no less than two hours after I posted my review, I received a phone call! It was the receptionist calling for the Tax Pro himself. She asked for more details so she could pass on the information. I explained, she indeed called me back, "He says you should just pay it." What the hell, I don't even dignify a response from the tax expert himself? Not even going to discuss possible options? I'm starting to doubt the people that wrote all of these shining 5 star reviews. You guys should actually try some real customer service and make a direct call to potential clients instead of letting your receptionist do your work for you. Long story short... Well too late for that. If you want real professional work done, go to a real professional company. That would definitely not be the Tax Pros. read more

Did our taxes during their walk-in hours this past Saturday. All I can say is, WOW! Their location is awesome- off street parking on Adams is a-o-k and you can even grab a cup of coffee at L'Estat en route. Their waiting area has really comfortable chairs and the receptionist is so professional and nice. I was expecting a bigger return because I have the maximum witheld on my paycheck. This was our first time filing as a married couple and we had questions if filing jointly or separately would bring the best return. My husband is a the owner of his own Real Estate Company and also handles home refinances as a broker as a contractor. I am a straightforward W-2 employee. We have owned our townhome for 1 year jointly, but my husband has a rental property that has demonstrated a loss with the economy being so slow. I was anxious about how this would all play out. We worked with Anvy who was REALLY easy to speak with, completely professional (the man wears a suit, even! CLASSY!) and REALLY knew what he was doing. He willingly ran the numbers for married filing jointly or separately. For us, filing jointly was the better way to go to get the larger return. My husband and I were so impressed with how Anvy handled my husband's business expenses and educated him on how to get the most return for future. Our return cost $360 as a married couple but got a $20 discount with the promise of a Yelp review. Don't forget to Yelp about it! We will definitely be following up with them throughout the year to ensure we are counting all of the business expenses from my husband to continue to get a great return. I cannot recommend them more! I had used H&R Block in years past- never impressed. I had used Liberty Tax with better service, but The Tax Pros have actually made the process of filing taxes enjoyable. I don't think I will even go anywhere else and I'm a tough crowd. I am glad I decided to get my taxes done professionally this year. I got a good return and it was stress free. Also it was so so so quick! They have not e filed my return yet but hopefully that gets to me quickly too. The only complaints I have which made this a 4 star than 5 star is that both times for my appointments things were running late which I know happens but annoying when I'm taking time from work or lunch break to show up and it is running 10 minutes late. I would also say overall the workers should try to smile more. Not that anyone was mean.. but I wouldn't consider them overly friendly. My tax guy was nice though. And finally... I wasn't really sure how they charged stuff... I know they charge differently based on different things but I wasn't sure how that worked which may have been nice to know. read more

I've sinced learned that they got it a little wrong with my taxes...and had to pay extra to reanalyze my taxes and get the rest of my refund back (which means I probably balanced out as opposed to receiving money back). If you have a complicated return or do not know how to walk them through it - I hate to say it, but hit the nearest H&R Block. read more

We filed our taxes here as newly married couple, our first joint return, and we were in and out in less than an hour! Tim at The Tax Pros was able to fix my 2011 tax return which another tax office messed up on. He was able to get me a refund in 2011 and 2012 with that revision. WOW, I'm so glad I read reviews on Yelp before getting this year's taxes done. Anvy was amazing, fast, personable, knowledgeable, and it was the best tax experience I've had to date. I was charged less than 1/2 of what H&R had been charging me for years, and I'm sure this year they would have tagged me for higher since I had some minor complications with my 1099. Whereas, H&R didn't know how to deal with a 1099 given for a wrong year, Anvy knew right away how to rectify the issue. I won't go anywhere else from now on. Called to schedule a review of my (already filed) taxes post season so that i can send in an amendment if there are any corrections that need to be made. The Receptionist was snotty to say the least and advised they were unavailable. I inquired if they were even unavailable after tax the 15th, she replied she did not know their schedules but they were booked and not taking new clients. Well excuse me, what are receptionists for if they do not know the schedules of those they work for...I will find another tax professional thank you! read more

My husband and I have used The Tax Pros for the past 2 years, and they are great! When I was single I would always do my own taxes, so I tried this year to file jointly with my husband and got information that did not seem correct. The awesome accountants at Tax Pros verified that my numbers were indeed correct, and suggested that we file for ourselves instead of paying for them to file for us. The best part was that Tax Pros did not charge us for the time spent looking over our information! My one critique is that every time I have called, the receptionist answering my call seems very distracted and not willing or possibly not able to take the time to answer my questions.
