Sherry. Cooper was our family attorney for many years, and did various family law paperwork for us…read morewell. However. When my father got Alzheimer's disease she was very unhelpful and told me she did not believe my father had AZ even though I provided her with medical reports including a respected Neurologist's. She actually told me "I don't believe it ! " She accused me of being very irresponsible and saying things to upset my father. When I asked how she would draw such a conclusion she said it didn't matter. She also told me if I didn't go along with whatever my father wanted in his demented state, I would "end up with nothing". She also said to me "what makes you think you can kick your father out of his house ?" Which I found very offensive. I dearly love my Dad and have cared for him tirelessly using a lot of my own money to care for him and it has not been easy. She also said there was nothing wrong with the paid caregiver having a glass of wine before driving my 92 y/o father to a late night show when his bedtime was 9pm. I estimate dealing with the shenanigans of Sherry with the paid caregiver to have cost me approximately $10,000 and I am very grateful because it could have been a lot worse. I observed this 49 y/o paid caregiver kissing my father on the mouth. Fortunately my father had the foresight to put our little house in my name also before he became Ill or we would not have that house today. There are four times she just hung up on me during a non contentious business call.I felt Sherry catered to the caregiver while treating me with disrespect while I worked hard to care for my Dad.
