On our London trip, we wanted to try out a classic Sunday Roast. And because of the area we were staying in, we wanted to try one of the more high-end Sunday roasts offered at The Thomas Cubitt Belgravia. We ordered the crispy squid to start, which was a little underwhelming because of the portion size. My brother ordered the burger with pancetta, and he said it was really good, but there was lacking a pancetta flavor in the burger. The chips were nice and crispy tho! The Sunday roast was really good, the vegetables were super tender and the roast was cooked perfectly. You can put the gravy that it was served with in almost anything and it would be amazing! I'm still a little confused about the Yorkshire pudding, as this was my first time ever having it, so maybe I need to try it at different places. It was super crispy and a little tough to eat. Otherwise, this was a fabulous meal!

This pub was so quaint and nice. We popped in for a drink and stayed for dinner and it was delicious. The service was excellent - very friendly. We had a lovely time and will look forward to coming back.

Charming atmosphere, great food, and great service. Nothing but high marks for this restaurant. Had a Sunday dinner and it was fantastic!

I came here this past weekend. I ordered pan-fried trout and beelicious, a non-alcoholic drink. The beelicious drink was very tasty. You could taste the elderflower and citrus flavors, and it was very refreshing. I love their pan-fried trout. I destroyed the whole plate. It was a nice touch to have brussel sprouts together with trout. You could taste 2 different textures: crunchiness from the sprouts and softness from the fish. The fish was soft and full of umami. The place was pretty expensive but considering its location, it was not too bad. I would recommend checking this place if you are in Victoria area.

What a great little spot! If you can, ask to sit next to the fireplace - it's super cozy! I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance for lunch or dinner since it can get quite busy. I got the fish and chips and they were amazing!!! Exactly what you want when visiting London. I went here twice during my trip!!

Came here for some Sunday grub. Burger with blue cheese was very good. I like that they will cook it to order and have to say they got the medium rare just perfect. Got this with a side of parmesan and garlic fries and was a bit annoyed that the waiter didn't point out that it already came with fries. Who needs two portions of fries?! The fries were average and I would not order the parmesan fries again. My friends duck salad was good. Worth getting although my other friend had lamb Sunday roast and it was definitely the star of the show. I never tried it but it looked great. All in all 4 stars. I would suggest trying to sit downstairs as upstairs felt a bit formal. Good quality food overall and reasonable prices for central London.

+ Great food + Nice ambience in a lovely neighbourhood + Both classical British food and inventive dishes + Always busy + Therefore, it can be a bit noisy and crowded Overall: The pub was already packed with people celebrating the end of week when we got there just before 6 for an early dinner. The area at the front of pub was SO noisy as people (mostly post work drinkers) were practically shouting to each other to make themselves heard over excessively loud music from the speakers. But they found a table for us in a smallish dining room at the back. The back room was much quieter. In contrast to the bar area, the customers in the back room consisted mostly of families and couples with hairy dogs (like the ones rich people have). My seat was a little tight as the tables are laid out quite closely to each other. But I didn't mind. I only care about food. Thomas Cubitt is a great gastro pub that serves great modern British food. The dining bar with warm wooden furniture has abundant of natural light from large windows that look out to Elisabeth Street. I've only eaten downstairs but they also have a formal dining room upstairs for posh people. They have separate menu there. I've only looked at their website but the upstairs room seem a little too formal and stuffy for my taste. Food: I ordered pumpkin, quinoa and green apple salad. The salad was great. Red quinoa and pumpkin add a pleasant texture to the fresh spinach laves. Red cabbage and the yogurt based mustard dressing help combine all the individual ingredients. However, the star of this dish is the green apple. The firm and fresh apples introduce the nature zing and delightful juiciness to this salad. The fish and chips my friend ordered was great too.

Our drink orders were taken quickly and delivered expeditiously. That did not follow with our food. We ordered the asparagus appetizer which took 12+ minutes to receive. The asparagus were old and tough. The accompanying sauce was flavorless. We waited for our entrees for another 20+ minutes, far longer than the patrons around us. The featured four course menu was priced at 90 quid per person. I passed on that offer. Located on a quiet residential street. If you are driving, you may even find a parking spot (no guarantees). Is this place remarkably better than most well run pubs? IMHO, not particularly. But, I'm an old curmudgeon, it's probable that your happiness here will surpass mine.
