We were greeted with friendly and fast service. Really love that it's pet friendly-- all of the servers loved on our pup. We had the pretzel as an appetizer. It was super fresh, and the beer cheese was hot and flavorful. We also had a smash burger. It was a little smaller than I expected, but fresh. My husband had the Chicago dog. Being from Chicago, he had high hopes. It was decent enough, but not his favorite. Kids meal was a lot of food for our little one, so we brought leftovers home. The biggest negative is they advertise being very kid friendly, but they don't have high chairs. This place is the most kid friendly, dog friendly and parent friendly place with good food ever. Before we even got food, I was in shock. It's a fenced in outdoor eating place with a plot of grass and a hill for playing! Dog bowls and dog treats available! Cute tables everywhere and then we finally made it inside. The only waiter/bartender there (Poor guy was so busy, but killing it!). The inside is cute and has a great atmosphere. Lots of alcoholic drink options as well. This place has gone way down hill. No one wanted to take our order - the guy and gal servers were too busy flirting and hanging out inside. Had to go to the bartender who wasn't really in the mood. Food took over an hour.... For 3 hot dogs. An hour. Was given an excuse that they are short staffed. Apparently they are so short staffed they can't even function. The bar is what attracts most people to The Tipping Point but they have a solid small menu as well. We went during the lunch hour for a quick bite to eat. They have a few different seating areas - a lounge, high top tables and chairs, a bar, and outdoors. We sat inside andwere one of four parties in the restaurant at the time so we had excellent service from the bartender. After getting our drinks, we ordered a burger and a flatbread. The smash burger can be customized and it comes with chips, slaw, or tots. I chose the tots and then upgraded them to a smaller portion of the tachos. We got a flatbread with pepperoni and bacon. As we waited for our food, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the three tv displays. The food was served hot and it was actually very good. I kept the burger toppings classic with cheese, spinach, tomatoes, and grilled onions. I liked that they toasted the hamburger bun and that they seasoned the burger. I even saw salt and pepper sprinkled on the tomatoes! This burger was simple but very satisfying. The tachos were advertised as having cheese, bacon bits, pickled jalapeños, and sour cream. We were told that the jalapeños were still being pickled but there was no mention of where the bacon was. The mostly cheesy tots topped with sour cream were a little softer than I thought they would be. They didn't have that great crunch on them and they needed some salt, which I'm assuming the bacon usually added. The flatbread was quickly devoured. This is a great spot in The Hampstead for food and drinks and to hangout. They offer live music on some nights and they have bottles of wine for purchase. This establishment is part of the Greater local town center of Hampstead in East Montgomery; the feel of this village is akin to what looks like a novel housing division out of a Harry Potter book; I suspect this village to actually be some annex to Hogwarts school of magic...but I digress. It is an unassuming prefabricated glorified trailer on the exterior; on the inside, well it's just the nicest double-wide trailer I've ever had the privilege to occupy. There's a small playground area outside for the kids. I have only been here during US men's soccer team matches so it's hard for me to gauge the regular crowd. That said it's replete with your thirtysomething metrosexual lumberjack looking people...As well as an assorted cast of non-specific young families and generic professionals. Ate here a week or so ago. Had a server named Tyler to take care of us. He was very helpful and insightful on guiding us over the menu and drink selections. Fairly busy at the time of my meal, but everything felt smooth and calm. They had live music outside with a nice outdoor subway bar that looks straight out of Chicago. The Tipping Point is a bar and restaurant which serves regular bar food. I did not try any of the drinks the time that I visited. The ambiance is quite nice. It's pretty well lit for a bar and spacious with high ceilings. There's an outside area like a porch with a hill for kids to play on and it is also dog friendly. We came with a big group on a Thursday evening. Everyone in our group arrived at slightly different times and we split up and sat at two adjacent tables. My part of the large group arrived at around 6:30 and ordered maybe 10 minutes later. The waiters took our credit cards at the beginning which makes sense for a group our size and the fact that we were likely to pay individually. I rarely get too upset at long waits at restaurants and poor service. I know that big groups can get the kitchen slower - but I still did have a pretty negative experience given that the night was not busy at all at the restaurant, and that the food to prepare was very simple and didn't seem to need much prep time to make. Although one of our tables in the group sat down first, we got food much, much later that the table that arrived later. It actually took 40 minutes after I sat down to get my appetizer, which was right after the other table already finished their dessert. Several people in the group also got wrong orders. My own order did not get the onion topping that I asked for. Another person in the group waited 1 whole hour and 8 minutes after sitting down until he got his food. It shouldn't take more than an hour to make a sandwich. And he had to go back inside and ask the waiter if they forgot his food (they did forget to start making it until he asked). Onto the food - The food was just OK. It was not bad food, and it probably does go well with the drinks (that we didn't have). The frito pie was inexpensive and had a good taste, but the melted cheese was pretty dry and stringy. The chili dog I got had an odd choice of bun. While the bun was pretty soft, I thought it was too large in comparison to the hot dog. The chili dog chili could have used more kick or spicy flavor too. I didn't hate the food at the Tipping Point though, and the price was inexpensive. Really the main point was the very slow service that the restaurant should work on. read more

Never got the food we ordered and we were charged for it, and when we brought up that our ticket was wrong we were told we were belligerent and cut off... mind you we were only two drinks in and had been there two hours! Would've loved to have more drinks than that... but nothing we ordered ever showed up. Maybe with better management I would recommend this place. Such potential! read more

Came here on the recommendation of a colleague while in the area for a business trip. Was able to sit down immediately and looked at the menu. Menu is short and to the point. We ordered an appetizer, four entrees and a round of drinks. Since I chose not drink that night I went with a soda which was brought out in a small plastic cup with a lid and straw. Yes, like a child's drink. It threw me off and was wondering why a soda isn't worthy of a glass cup or even a large plastic cup. Oh well. Servers rotated throughout the night. The best server turned out to be the owner's son. Assumed this because there was a couple there who kept walking behind the bar, pouring themselves a drink and then sitting back down in the tv area with another couple. Interesting observations. Food was good. Hotdogs and a bag of chips. The pretzel bun was good and fresh. The hotdog cooked well and just wish there was a bit more condiments on my hotdog. An unexpected but enjoyable flavor of something different from the traditional southern fried favorites of Alabama. The Tipping Point presents a fresh menu, focusing on quality sandwiches, sides, and beer that are enhanced by a relaxed outdoor atmosphere. I found myself here for one of my first off base dinners, and my group was initially drawn here because of the impressive list of craft beers kept on tap. Tipping Point offers a brew from sea to shinning sea delivering you your Lagunitas to your Jai Alai. I skipped the cold and frosty and instead made a beeline for the food because as good as on base dining facility food is I was ready for a change. The menu was simple; appetizers, salads, sandwiches, etc. The food was also simple. For example, the bacon appetizer was literally a basket of about 6 thick slices of sizzling salty bacon. The cold slaw, "TCF" (tomato, cucumber, feta), and various other sides were delivered in small cups for a not so small price ($2.50+). On the bright side, the sandwiches were fairly priced at around $8 and of good size. A full grown horse might have left hungry, but the Tipping Point does not allow pets so this is not a problem. My personal favorite food item came to me in a skillet. Warm, fresh, gooey, and as soft as the sound of a baby's coo. This was their chocolate chip cookie, about the size of a small clock and topped with a generous scoop of cold vanilla ice cream. A perfect treat to a nice evening. In essence, the Tipping Point gave us a fun night out, which was happily supported by their friendly staff and spacious environment. I would have appreciated either larger portions or smaller prices on several of their items because I feel like their chance to innovate on food creations was mostly left on the table. Either way, this seems to be a solid spot to grab a beer and unwind with close friends. read more

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. They have lots of outside and inside seating. We sat inside beside the bar. The atmosphere is kind of rustic feeling, I couldn't really get a good read on it but I liked it. They had a large selection of drinks and I decided on the Tequila and the Bee cocktail. It was great, super unique and I would order it again. The honey and tequila worked really well together. We shared the trio of dips as an appetizer with the pimento cheese, spinach and artichoke, and onion dips. All three were great and I would definitely recommend them to everyone. I had the Southern Press panini for my entree. The sandwiches don't come with a side unfortunately. The flavor of the sandwich was great and the melted pimento cheese on it really set it off. The best hot dog I've ever had! This place is off the beaten path and a jewel of a place! The architecture is a bit odd with garage door style walls that open up for more open seating. There's a cool little picnic area to the north side of the building that's great for kids. The food menu here is really small: wraps, sandwiches, hot dogs, sides and desserts pretty much. Their beer menu on the other hand....well....it's like ginormous! I had their Carolina dog and was seriously blown away at how good it is. I mean 1/4 pounds of kosher frank layered on TOP of bbq pork and topped with delicious toppings...how can you go wrong? I had the tomato/cucumber side and that was delicious too. And if that isn't enough, the cookie skillet ala mode was a heckuva lot better than the last pizookie I had at BJ's. All in all, the food is great, albeit a small menu, and the beer is top notch.
