Montgomery whitewater is an obsulute blast. The guided rafting was exciting, and perfect for all levels. The staff were friendly and the whole experience went smooth and fun. I gave one star to, I hope, get someone's attention. Montgomery Whitewater has been in business for a good while now - - at least long enough to get a grip on the restaurant/bar situation. To start off positive, the bar has great drinks! Always very good and fun to sit there and sip away while chatting in a good environment. Now for the bad. The restaurant seems like they have just opened for business that day for the first time ever! It's absolutely ridiculous. The entranceway is not set up properly, so people jam in there and also have to wait outside just to place their orders, which always takes far too long. The person(s) working that front register always seem to not fully grasp what they are doing or how to provide good customer service. Everything just seems too lackadaisical. And the menu?! The menu is not good! I have been there many times, almost always against my will (for a luncheon or other function), and I and those I am there with are always so disappointed with how limited the menu is and how mediocre the food is. It's a wonderful environment, especially if you are sitting outside in one of the many Adirondack chairs provided (which is a major plus); but again, the restaurant just doesn't seem to have a clue overall. Food takes far too long and is always subpar. Again, they act as if they have never done this before, which is ridiculous. Once they get a handle on the restaurant situation, I will gladly return for a wonderful time in the great environment at the bar or outside relaxing. Please improve! Eddy's is one of the newest spots in Montgomery and it is well located to catch concerts from the outdoor patio. They have a large parking lot that accommodates the Whitewater Park traffic as well as the restaurant. There are a lot of positives about Eddy's and they accommodated my table of four with my parents and brother about forty-five minutes from their Saturday closing time for their kitchen at 9:30. The overall hours were not clear for Saturdays or any of the days. Let's get the one glaring issue out of the way, and it must be understood in light of closing time. Service was not up to par for several reasons: the server had to be asked a few times to bring saucers for the chicken wing appetizer, never brought additional napkins, and never cleared any plates or napkins from appetizer service or any service until we departed. Yes it was near closing time, but our server was talking to other people instead. Now let's get to the good parts. The server had the bartender make a spicy margarita and it was quite good. The smoked wings definitely had the smoky flavor and it was enhanced by their Eddy's special sauce with chipotle. I'm sure if we were a little further from closing time, they would have been crisper or perhaps if we had been able to eat them immediately without having to wait for saucers. Who brings wings with no saucers..? My father liked his burger and my brother liked his Asian bowl. My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the crab cake burgers, which, at $22 with fries, is a good value. Moreover, the crab cake burgers are thick and all lump crab meat with little to no filler, just enough to keep it together and breaded when deep fried. Served with a fried onion ring, mesculin greens, and aoli was very good. The fries are also very good, dusted with a little Old Bay. I imagine the crab cake burgers will become one of the signature offerings from Eddy's once it becomes well established. If I could suggest a few changes, it would be to skip the breading and frying, and fried onion ring, and opt to broil it panko encrusted with a slice of heirloom tomato so the lump crab flavor and texture come through cleanly and unimpeded. Eddy's is new and doubtlessly they are working out the kinks. It's a great location, with a modern and clean interior decor. There are a lot of flatscreens to catch the games and a lot of large windows to bring in the outdoor natural ambience. If they work out the service kinks, they will be getting three and a half and four star ratings. For now, they are at three stars. read more

I was surprised at the great restaurant, Eddy's they have located at this outdoor adventure facility. A place for whitewater rafters, zip liners, kayakers, and those who want to nice skate. Eddy's has a beautiful bar that's loaded with tvs for catching the game and a good assortment of whiskey/liquors to select from. We did Sunday brunch here and enjoyed the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken was seasoned well and no condiments were needed to improve upon the taste. The cinnamon infused waffles also hit the spot and we washed it down with a mimosa flight. The service was prompt and the staff is extremely helpful. Can't go wrong with brunch here and they have a live DJ on the patio. Glad to see Montgomery expanding with new venues such as this. Great facility for the outdoorsmen who want a safe place to do their activities. read more

Great service. The Greek wrap was fries was delicious. I also enjoyed a tap beer. The seating outside was nice.

We could not order lunch until 2pm. A worker also cussed in front of my children TWICE. Once we ordered, a water was $4 compared to the $2 water 30 feet away from the restaurant. We also all ordered together and they forgot one of our orders. In the end, the food was not even good. read more

Great steak fries, the wife's Caesar wrap was really good and the margaritas were just right. But, the chili cheese dog was the poorest excuse for a chili dog I ever ate and I have had quite a few. Their idea of chili tasted just like the sweet sloppy Joe mix and looked like it too, nothing like any real chili. I have ate chili from California to Washington DC and never had anything like that. The first time we went they had signature cocktails and a good selection on their menu. We went back tonight and they had a few items on the menu (maybe 5) and no signature cocktails anymore. The people I went with enjoyed their chicken strips and fish tacos but my burger was meh. I hope they bring back the Mac and cheese melt they used to have and their signature cocktails.
