    I had already been an avid exerciser before starting to train with Francisco, but with my wedding coming up in a few months and my own workouts and progress starting to plateau, I needed a solution to look and feel my best and strongest for my wedding day! Francisco is a true professional. I came with specific goals in mind and showed him some photos of where I'd ultimately love to be physically. He took that feedback and structured our workouts to train those specific areas. He kept things fresh and my body guessing and I never got sick of the exercises. Since training with him, he has up-leveled my strength training knowledge, challenged my body in new ways, pushed me out of my comfort zone, encouraged me to maintain discipline with my diet and workouts outside of the studio, and well...... the results and progress pictures speak for themselves! I have never felt stronger and more confident in my own physical abilities and I'm not stopping here! The cherry on top is that Francisco always has a smile on his face and unwavering positive attitude and I look forward to training with him each week. If you are looking to get in shape either for your wedding (he loves training brides!!) or in general, don't look elsewhere. Note that this is not a silver bullet and you WILL need to be disciplined outside of your time with him in the studio as well as "do your homework". But if you bring the heart, dedication, and commitment to bettering yourself, Francisco will get you there.

    Francisco is a great trainer. I hired in March for my September wedding and he helped me kick it into gear. He gave me such a great foundation with weight training, conditioning and stretching that even post-wedding I'm keeping my a 4-5 day/week gym schedule. I feel and look the best I have in years. If you need a reboot or some motivation to kick start your health journey, get yourself some Francisco in your life, you won't regret it. Best money I've ever spent.

    I started out with Francisco last August in preparation for my wedding. Little did I know he would help change my life! I had gained a lot of weight, slowly but surely, over the course of 2 years. I started out with him twice a week and keeping a daily food log. Within 2 or so months, I had lost 8 pounds and was so motivated to keep going! Over the following months together, he helped me learn that I'm capable of becoming stronger -- both physically and mentally. He was always extremely enthusiastic, encouraging, and warm (which definitely made the 6 am wake up easier). It honestly felt like I was working out with a trusted friend. My outlook on food and exercise has completely changed as a result of my time with him. I now feel a hundred times better than I did last year, and have Francisco to thank entirely for it!

    Francisco has been an AMAZING personal trainer!! I started working out with him months before my wedding, and I lost 21 lbs and 17.75" with his help. I'm the fittest I've ever been and my husband and I are continuing with Francisco as a lifestyle change because we've seen such great results. Francisco rocks and you won't find a more accommodating, dedicated and invested trainer in SF! He and his wife have become dear friends. Thank you!

Richard is knowledgeable and thoughtful in the workouts he designs. He's conscious of any injuries or weakness I might have going into each session, and will tailor the workout accordingly. It's been 4 months since I started working out with Jaime and the results are clear -- I can wrangle my boys, carry heavy things, and have more endurance in all the tasks of being a mom. I feel stronger. Diakadi's trainers go through a rigorous interview process and looking around every time I go people are working out in a way that supports long term health and fitness, vs the way group fitness pushes you but often at the expense of injury. With all the literature on the importance of muscle mass for long term health, this is hands down the best investment in myself I've made in the past few years.

The gym has very limited hours and on holidays they limit their hours even more, so when you have time off from work for a holiday you cannot use the gym. You pay to work with a trainer and also pay an additional gym fee on top of that.

    Housekeeping: 5 stars! Professional and super hard working. (As other reviewers have said.)…read more Equipment and fitness floor: 2.75 stars: they have a few interesting machines, but they don't have enough of the more popular standard ones. There is one of each of the weight machines so the wait times can be pretty long any part of the day. They could repurpose some of the open mat area, which is unnecessarily large in comparison to the area dedicated to the machines. Group fitness classes: 3.5 stars: they have a lot of good classes. There is not enough variety, as other reviews noted. I remember when they had tons of Pilates mat classes. Now they focus mostly on Zumba, which is wonderful...we need more strength training (like Pilates or such). Spa and pool facilities: 2.5 stars. The women's locker room is well maintained, and is the main reason why we continue to choose this gym. They recently installed some very temperamental locks in the women's locker rooms, and the numbers on the locks are super small to read...seems like an ADA issue; As it is, the housekeeping staff needs to help with lock-outs all day. (And they still keep the place sparkling clean! Hence five stars in the first category above.) The women's steam room is offline chronically due to repair issues. And so women who use the pool need to walk, dripping with cold pool water, through a lounge/lobby area while the steam room is under construction. These conditions have been true for over two months now. And there is no good timeline for when the steam room and direct access to the pool area will be restored. The steam room was under construction in 2025, too. Security team is incredible. Bottom line: if housekeeping and security could run the whole place, this would be a five-star review; If you need to get through your workout efficiently, and don't want to wait in line for a shoulder press or leg press, maybe check another gym with more than one of each type of machine. If you want daily cardio-type fitness classes, and don't need machines or weight lifting work, this gym is a good option. Just don't bring a bag that you need to stow in a locker to avoid the hassle of getting locked out! (Bags of any kind are prohibited on the gym floor.) We have been members for a long time, and so we have a reasonable rate. I would not pay the current prices, however, as it feels like too much for what they currently offer. Hope this helps you decide on the best gym for your needs!
