We were most surprised with the Mango Cruise. We did not know that it was a boat just for us managed by four staff and the guide. It was magical. My favorite hotel was the Indochine Palace in Hue. What made it special were the staff and the awesome service. The guides were also helpful, especially Duc in Hanoi and Phuong in Hue. Phuong helped with getting a doctor. Sokros in Cambodia was outstanding also. Our every request was accommodated by the guides. Truly a memorable experience.

Immediately when entering he looked at us and goes "let me guess High Noons" now typically sure that's funny but it only gets worse, we politely tell him the shot we want he tells us he doesn't have the stuff to make it, I am just wanting something at this point so I ask for Malibu and cranberry he then looks at us with disgust and says "what? Are you even ladies or are you 18" he then tells us about this blueberry shot they have on happy hour, sure my goodness just give us something. We go to pay hand out IDs and my friend pulls out her temp paper and her clipped ID and without seeing the physical ID or asking for it he immediately denies us rudely, he sees the physical ID in her hand as we're packing up and tries to pull us back in and tells us he will start making our drinks. No Sir you are not getting my money anymore. Later that night we went to the restaurant for her birthday dinner. The menu already has only 10 options for an entree and they told us after ordering apps and drinks that they unfortunately don't have the stuff in the back to make halffff of the menu!! It then took almost an hour to get our food. Please please stay somewhere else, as someone from MN I promise we have much better places to stay.

The staff made a great first impression. Despite our late arrival, we were greeted warmly at check-in, and everyone we interacted with during both arrival and departure was friendly and welcoming. The room itself was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The air conditioning worked wonderfully, which made for a great night's sleep, and the beds were comfortable as well. My only real complaint is the bathroom. It was honestly one of the smallest hotel bathrooms I've ever encountered. If you're sitting on the toilet, you can't fully close the bathroom door because there's simply not enough clearance. It wasn't a huge issue for an overnight stay, but it was definitely an odd design choice. Because we arrived so late and left early, I didn't have a chance to check out the pool or any of the other hotel amenities. Hopefully next time. Overall, this is a solid choice if you're looking for a comfortable, pet-friendly hotel near MSP. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a convenient location make it easy to recommend. One of the highlights was the included breakfast buffet--it had a great variety and was a perfect way to start our mornings without having to go out. The location is another huge plus. Being so close to the Mall of America made it incredibly convenient, especially for tourists like us who came specifically to visit the mall. All the people were loud and the hotel itself was loud. Toilet very low to the ground. Hard to use and loud flushing. The alleged breakfast was the last straw. They "ran out" of waffle mix, milk, orange juice and apple juice. They had signs up so you knew it wasn't coming back. No more eggs, or potatoes (8:30 am). Basically all they had was coffee and little pastries. And they packed up those pastries early. I was angry. Hotel breakfast is important. One meal you don't have to pay for while traveling. We were supposed to stay there all week. We left after one night and found way nicer accommodations downtown.

Frantic calls and 2 high-stress days only made it worse. Everything we read and researched showed a minimum 10-day processing time to get visas. We filled out the online visa application through the Brazil consulate website and started praying for a miracle! My wife found the Travel Visa Pro website, and I dismissed it as a scam. After researching TVP on the BBB web site, Yelp and other review sites, we contacted TVP and talked with several staff. Anna and Joya were very helpful, but I was still skeptical. Long story short, our visa applications were in process and no longer just sitting on someone's desk at the Consulate, TVP wasn't able to pull them back and get it done for us. ...but... had we started with TVP, we would be visiting our Brazilian "family" today already.
