He showed us a few different colors and patterns; my son expressed interest in the lighter color. On install day, my son was told they did not have the color he requested. Then owner (Ryan) was persistent with pushing for a darker color despite my son stating his preference of "what was available." Eventually, he agreed to use what my son wanted but not without resistance. The same issue occurred with picking the design. While I appreciate the work, as it does look nice. I did not appreciate his unbusinesslike attitude. He's getting a 4 star for the persistence in trying to get "his preference" on the project requested as that was a nuisance. Otherwise, his work is good. If there was a 4 1/2 star rating I would've given him that as the quality of the planter was great.

After 4 quotes, we found the price to be reasonable, so we made contact. The Team worked around our vacation schedule to make this happen quickly, and the work was done with precision! 10 feet of the dead tree was over our neighbors roof. 15 feet of the live part of the tree was over our roof. Yeah, I was very nervous about roof damage. They set up a pulley system and cut and lowered each piece like it was a priceless piece of art. There was no dropping 20 foot sections from 50+ feet in the air. Besides the 2 houses, also under the tree was azaleas, both still living and unharmed, blackberry bushes - also unharmed, and out sewer pipe feed-in. Also undamaged. They cleaned the yard before they left, and when they were cutting the tree, they asked if I wanted firewood. I asked for half the tree, and they cut half the tree to 18 inch size pieces I could split. The remaining half they took away. I would very highly recommend them. In addition to being a local group, they were highly professional, they were 15 minutes early, they respected my property and needs, and they cut firewood for my firepit.

We had three estimates, with Blaine (I think he's an owner) coming out to do the estimate. He's kind of rough around the edges but brutally honest and down to earth, and did not try to upsell me anything like the others did, and I liked that. Besides, his estimate was about half what the others would have charged for the same work. The crew arrived on time, were friendly and professional and did an OUTSTANDING job. I watched Butch grind the stump at least a foot down from the grass line. My trees have never looked better, and we have had them trimmed several times by others who charged more. I intended to run the tiding mower with bagger after they removed the massive sticky-ball tree from the yard, but they did such a thorough cleanup afterward that I didn't need to. They even cleaned up debris that wasn't from the tree work. The yards, back and front, looked much better than when they arrived. Lastly, Ricky was the tree climber and was a wild man. He did a fantastic job navigating and trimming my trees even to the upper branches, at least 75 feet up. He does how-to videos on YT as GeneJerz or #Genejerz, check out my house and the job the crew did. Top Notch is now my go-to tree service. I don't need to look anywhere else.

All safety measures are in place... harnesses, ropes, etc. They know what they are doing! The first time I used this company was for a tree removal and some cleaning out of other trees. The needed to place their bucket lift in my next door neighbor's yard. Despite using plywood protection, they damaged my neighbor's slate sidewalk. Zach went out and purchased more slate, cut it to size and fully repaired the sidewalk. My neighbor didn't even notice! It is this integrity and attention to detail that would definitely prompt me to call them again if I need more tree work.

I was very happy with the company trimming my palm tree with a decent cost. I decided to have them…read moretrimming 2 Crape Myrtle trees and remove some stumps. They did the work without letting me know they were coming. If they did I would have seen what they were doing. The tree pruning was very poor. It is barely noticeable. I am paying the tree pruning since I was out of town and cannot prove what they did or didn't do other than the trees seem full. They removed the stumps except for 1 and they destroyed my irrigation system. I called and they were supposed to call me back with information. They disappeared. They sent me emails and letters for the payment (including the stump not removed) so I called them again. The person whom I spoke with was no longer with the company and they told me that they would call me back. But they didn't. I kept calling and finally there was a follow up. They asked me the pictures for the tree and I sent them. No response to that twice. They then sent me their disclaimer for the irrigation and I had to send them pictures that the irrigation was visible so not covered by their disclaimer. They keep harassing me with requests of payment regardless of our phone conversation, proof of damage and emails. There is an obvious disconnect within the company and the customer is trapped in this net.

I called Charleston Tree Experts for a climber. They sent a climbing team out to the house that day! An excellent team. Very professional. Very respectful. The main climber, Terry, was up in no time and carefully brought this drone down. The drone was in perfect condition. No damage. I'd call this company in a heartbeat. Great customer service, great response and affordable.
