I had lunch with a girlfriend at The Tropic, we didn't have a booking and were lucky enough to secure a table. We were promptly seated at a table inside the restaurant with the most amazing view of the ocean. We ordered a drink then peruse the menu, at first glance I thought I was going to have trouble ordering something until our gorgeous waitress explained it was designed to share. 1st up from the small plates we ordered the parmesan & zucchini dip served with a flat bread, it was one of the tastiest dishes I have eaten- in fact we were scraping the bowl soaking up every last morsel. Then we shared the whole rainbow trout with carrot & almond tahini with a side of charred broccoli spiced sour cream,
pomegranate, absolutely delicious! I don't know how they did it but there was not a fishbone in sight and the whole fish perfectly intact. There was no room for desert only another glass of Prosecco. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and dreaming until I can go back when next on the GC. Andy read more
