Yet another great base for any travelling through Gatwick! The décor was a little bizarre and clashed a bit but it's comfortable and friendly. You can't complain too much as it is low cost and very warming inside. read more

I had the 2-twin bed room and it was up to date, clean and comfortable. The service was excellent, from the shuttle to the check in at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again. It was so simple to get on the shuttle. Simply call the hotel and within a few minutes, the kind driver came and helped me with my bags. The shuttle was spotless! And it was a quick ride from Gatwick to the hotel. The hotel looks like an old Tudor style home on the outside (and in reading the history of the place, it once was a home to a doctor). Once inside, the decor was contemporary and fun. I was not expecting to see that, but was so pleased I did! The woman at check in was VERY kind and friendly and made me feel so welcome. She explained that there's a town 5 minutes walk away to get food if I like, or there's a bar that stays open until 10pm there at the hotel. The room was quaint and updated and very clean and comfortable. I felt safe and got a good night's rest before my flight the next day. Would definitely recommend this place for a short stay in Gatwick.

Two twin beds. As comfy as you'd expect them to be. But good enough for one night.

They provide comfortable, basic accomodation near to Gatwick, plus will drive you to the airport in the morning. They also provide airport parking for around £4 per night. We stayed here for an early morning departure and left at around 5.30 am. They do a breakfast buffet from a more civilised time around 7am but as we were leaving before that they gave us a basket of breakfast containing croissants and jam, plus there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The rooms are quite old fashioned but clean and the staff were very nice. If you are leaving for the airport later in the day (I think after 10am) you have to make your own way there, plus we had to get back by ourselves. Cost us around £74 for the night and a weeks parking so worked out at fantastic value compared to the cheapest airport hotels. I would definitely stay here for an early morning departure again.

After a great meal, we returned to our room and slept for 12 hours, and awoke to the delicious smell of breakfast cooking. Clive and Carmel are so accommodating, they schedule your breakfast time, drive you to and from the airport and even confirm what you want for breakfast. It was so relaxing and comforting after our flight, we will certainly return here. Thank you for the wonderful service!

I had an overnight at nearby Gatwick Airport and I didn't want to go site seeing. I wanted to rest, eat, rest some more, eat a little more, and then fly home. This place was perfect. It's pretty adorable to boot. Here's what you get: a room, shared bathroom but there's two and it's huge and nice, FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST cooked to order (and I cannot stress this enough because it's bacon, sausage, eggs, griddle tomatoes, toast and homemade marmalade), transfers to and from the airport, tea in your room, a garden with plenty of cute seats, and finally--a great pub withing walking distance. Super sweet family owned. There's parking if you are a driver. The rooms are up a fairly steep set of stairs so if you're a smidgen impaired, you might call first. I booked through hotels.com for 45 pounds (65 USD depending on the day). It was perfect.

However, keep in mind that it was a) £30 for a night, and b) had pretty much the friendliest staff member I've ever met at a hotel. This may become our new normal stop for morning flights from Gatwick. The bed was comfy, and the walk to the train station was effortless. For those who have never been here before, if your travelling from London, cross to the other platform on arrival and exit there. Then walk down the sloping road. Congrats, you're pretty much about 50 yards from the hotel. Keep in mind there is some train noise, but it never bothered me.

The location near the airport makes it convenient--especially if you're flying early. While the hotel is close to the terminals, it's not directly connected. A great choice for convenience and comfort, just check transport and terminal connections ahead of time.

Very convenient for a quick layover in Heathrow!…read more This Premier Inn in Terminal 4 is a good alternative to staying in the city (like Paddington) if you are only in Heathrow for a short period of time. The hotel is situated near a few other airport hotels. I've stayed here a couple of times and it's been fairly painless: not too expensive, self check-in with minimal human interaction, and clean and quiet rooms. The rooms themselves have the bare necessities, including a water kettle, coffee, tea, TV, and towels. In addition, there's a full bar with various seating downstairs (which gets kind of rowdy), as well as a restaurant. I've eaten at said restaurant a few times, and the food is not bad at all! Their apps and curry dishes were pretty tasty. The only thing is that during peak travel times, service can be unusually slow. Apparently they also serve a breakfast buffet, though I've never gotten it because I have airport lounge access at Heathrow *flicks hair* My only first world gripe is that it is a long walk from when you get to Terminal 4 to the actual space of Premier Inn. There are two bus stops very close to the hotel that have several buses each hour, that take about 10 minutes to reach Terminal 5. I also really appreciate the staff - they were friendly and efficient. However, the hotel itself is not the best even for Premier Inns I have stayed in. It was not clean - the toilet needed cleaning - Gross, and everything else had an air of neglect. Worst of all, my room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I called down immediately to reception to let them know and they apologized but did not offer me another room. It was literally hard to breathe all night. The bed was also uncomfortable with scratchy sheets and flat pillows. The hotel is also very bare bones- they don't even provide shampoo. It is available for purchase in the vending machine across from the lifts. I dined in the restaurant and it was not amazing but fine for what it was. Overall, a bit disappointed and not the best night of sleep, but with the price of less than $100 USD, I suppose I can't complain.
