Here is an example of it; after I wrote my review here is how (text messages) he approached me. Attacking a customers character is never good First off I have to say the work and speed that their crew delivered was great. We love everything that they did for us. We had a number of requests for them to: 1. Build a deck near our pool with cover 2. Replace our fencing to hide the pool equipment 3. New fence towards the back of our property In the photos you can see how great it turned out. Now where they lost their stars is in communication and dealing with conflicts. 1st issue - We had a dumpster provided that they subcontracted and had a number of issues. James gave my husband the phone number to contact dumpster company and "deal with the issue". As a customer all issues pertaining to a subcontractor that THEY hired should have been handled by them and not us. 2nd issue - some of the fence posts they installed warped and we asked for them to come repair. We had to text and call about 10 times! We were given dates that someone would show up and then no one showed up and no communication about 5 times. Continuous calling and text had to occur with the same result. Then random out of the blue one day someone showed up to fix the fence and once again no communication to inform us they were coming nor after to check how the repair went. This process was extremely frustrating and clear that dealing with conflicts isn't their forte.

After the installation, I had some issues with sagging and motor function, which Bluebonnet was steadfast and committed to coming out to solve and fix the issues that were manifesting. Kyle and Alex did an excellent job on the installation and fixing the issues that came up after the installation. Kyle and Alex worked tirelessly to solve the problems and replace motors that seemed to be malfunctioning. A company is only as good as its guarantee of warranty and workmanship, and Bluebonnet definitely came through with standing by their work and product.. My back patio is beautiful, and I am able to enjoy it now that the screens keep out leaves, dirt, and debris. I highly recommend Blue Bonnet Patio Covers and the electric screens that they provide.

Excuse after excuse was made, until "Chris" emailed stating that he is no longer employed there. He then disconnected his number. Several messages have been left with the company phone number with NO response. Drove to the New Braunfels address and it is not a company, it is a run down home. This appears to be a SHAM company just looking to steal money.

SOT built a beautiful pool for us--no doubt--but they did…read moreit by undercutting another business, using their original design, and had so many errors along the way that I stopped sleeping altogether. The stress was immense, as I had to become savvy to construction and plumbing work in order to double check their work. The core crew and their plumber are PHENOMINAL! These guys have an amazing work ethic and do beautiful work when it comes to paving and plumbing, but we were a great experiment when it came to building the pool. Our pool was the first they'd ever built. They were only subcontractors on prior pools working on the decking only. Fermin, the owner, presents as the most honorable, caring, upright human being, only to bait and switch you on workmanship, materials, etc., until you DON'T get what you think you're paying for. If you use this company, please read your paperwork with a fine tooth comb, making sure that everything you are expecting is there. And, if you make any changes, go through all of the paperwork again to identify everything is there exactly. We had a tiler who didn't know what he was doing, an engineer and equipment expert who didn't ground and bond all of the wiring and also didn't follow the positioning or wiring instructions for the heater (we almost lost our warranty because it was installed poorly), a pool filled with water and debris with no chemicals to start us off and no instructions for curing time or equipment/chemical usage during the 30 day curing time. Worse, Fermin told us he didn't subcontract--the team and equipment were all his. This was a lie, and it resulted in their forklift running into the side of my neighbor's home, puncturing her stucco. Further, we had to stop the construction of an eyesore of a privacy fence that looked nothing like what we agreed upon or the photos that showed precisely what we wanted. Bait and switch. Another $10,000 later and a decking company that knew what it was doing, we got our privacy fence installed. The contract includes a two-year warranty on the structure, but we have spent thousands of dollars on repairs without reimbursement because this company will generally not respond to warranty calls and we couldn't trust them to wire and properly install the pool equipment. They did, however, respond a few months ago to a repair on our retaining wall, but did a sloppy job that did not actually repair the cracks (photos). We now also have a rusted landscaping light and a loose tile on the step (photo). We have gone to the office, called every week for weeks, to no avail. The owner is ignoring our calls to schedule a warranty repair. Again, I cannot complain about the workmanship of paving and perhaps landscaping. They did a remarkable job on our pavers and matched our paint like nothing I've ever seen before (paint is very hard to match exactly, but they did it). There are definitely good things to say, but overall, buyer beware! Fermin is NOT what he appears as a businessman, and you may pay dearly for it.

Stones of Texas performed faulty construction work and a large poolside, wooden pavilion they built collapsed. During the investigation of that incident, it was found that Stones of Texas had performed much more faulty work as well. We were awarded a judgment against Stones of Texas and Fermin Cardenas. He has been running from us and has refused to pay the judgment amount as required by law. Please do not let this man and his company do this to you as well.

Great company, great guy. Let me set the record straight, I…read morehaven't even had my deck built yet but I have a great deal of confidence in this company. Last year I had a fence blow down on one side of my house (along with most of San Antonio) and I was having a hard time getting a contractor to call me back, much less give me an estimate. Allen not only called me back, he came out and gave me a reasonable estimate and said he would work the job in as soon as he could. I was getting nasty notes from my HOA so this was a big help to me. The work was done on time, on budget, and MUCH better quality than the original builder. I had him give me an estimate on a deck at that time and was impressed out how reasonable it was. Fast forward to now and I am ready to build a deck, and my circumstances and finances allow for a much nicer deck than what he originally estimated. First I went through Home Advisor (which I recommend if you're lonely... you will get all kinds of calls lol) and they sent 3 different contractors out. I sent the first home without an estimate because he wouldn't even give me a quote unless I signed paperwork on the spot. The other two were also VERY high pressure and their quotes were... well they were high (like you have to be kidding high). That's when I remembered I had Allen's card and gave him a call. He came out himself and took measurements, asked questions about what I wanted (one of the other companies insisted on telling me what I wanted) and gave me a ball park quote on the spot. Just based on this experience and the previous work I would highly recommend them, but of course I will update this review once the work is done. (it's 3/16/18 now and I hope to start on it within the next month).

If after coming out they decided that they didn't want my business I would've thought the professional thing to do would to just say thanks for the inquiry but this is a project we're not able or willing to do. I've also noticed that it seems when someone gives him a negative review he can't find their information. Just based on his responses if I were a customer considering this company I'd reconsider after looking at his responses doesn't take responsibility for his actions.
