Got into a motor vehicle accident a while ago and was laid up. Experienced neck pain and slight numbness in my right hand's fingers. While traveling I was convinced to see a chiropractor. A kind of "you deserve this" kind of convincing since I was on a vacation. After a quick search I decided to give them a shot. They took X-Rays of my neck and showed me I had some nerves being messed up by my neck due to the accident. Got set up for an appointment and I got to enjoy the rest of my vacation with full feeling in my fingers and no neck pain. The service provided gave me a unique renewal on life and showed me that a small investment can truly redefine how you feel; you're worth it! Can't thank them enough! I couldn't fall asleep on the airplane on the way down, but on the way back I was able to grab some sleep! I was assured that this was a simple problem that could be easily resolved BUT I had to pay $450 out of pocket for X-Rays before he would touch me. Was told to return the following day after he viewed the XRays for treatment where I was told I would not be helped at all unless I committed to 24 visits and roughly $2500 out of pocket. First, they don't wear masks. They said they have evidence to suggest that masks don't work. They will put one on if you want them to. Secondly, they won't touch you unless you commit to 6 months worth of treatment and pay nearly $4000 up front. They are "out of network" with most insurances so you have to pay out of pocket and get reimbursed by your insurance company. They won't do pay as you go and won't do a payment plan. I walked in there in a lot of pain. I had 2 visits and spent $450 on x rays. They made me watch videos and gave me a long sales pitch before telling me they won't treat me until I pay for 6 months up front. And even then you don't get treated right away. Beware! So first I would like to say that the staff were incredibly kind. However, I paid for the consultation and spent two days and 3 hours plus 2 hours of driving time being put through a very high pressure sales pitch. First they make you watch a video, even though I politely declined, they insisted. Then when discussing care it was a whole lot of "used car" type sales promises. Being offered care credit at least 4-5 times. I was told over and over how much he cared about me. I was given a book to read that the other Chiro wrote. All of these things are sales tactics. Then when he explained I needed to actually come back the next day he insisted that my husband must attend with me (here it comes- because they want your spouse to be ready to cough up the dough too). Ok fine I understand you need to review the X-rays etc and you need to stay late to do that. And I would like to say that I believe everything this guy says about the science of it and I believe the care would be beneficial and was totally willing to move forward BUT then when I come back the next day I have to watch another video sit through more and more sales to be hit with YOU HAVE TO PAY $3,000 UPFRONT for us to give you care. UM WHAT?! I offered to pay monthly- nope. They insisted on using care credit. His "reasoning"- because they would have to open an entire office and staff just to take credit cards. That is total BS, excuse me? The entire industry can run credit cards but this costs only your business that much money- NOPE. There is no reason they couldn't run at minimum a monthly payment, so then he tells me well we don't do one foot in and one foot out. Okay man I guess I'm two feet out which is so unfortunate considering you so called care so much. And by the way after alllllll of this I walk out not even getting an adjustment after two days! I had a horrible experience here. They are into the hard sell, promising miracles, and relief of symptoms, and pressuring you to pay $3600 up front. I did not get better, in fact I got worse. The doctors couldn't decide if they should be adjusting the left side or the right, so they went back and forth.My atlas and axis were being violently adjusted from one side and then the other. Naturally, I could never hold adjustments- how could I when they kept adjusting different bones from different sides. My symptoms got worse, not better. By the time I got in to see someone to help me, my entire spine was twisted way worse than it ever had been- I was completely twisted to the right. Some days I could barely move. I was rushed through two appointments with videos, diagrams, charts, x-rays, bad jokes, and then the grand finale of over a $2,300 bill for 6 months of an intensely scheduled treatment. He tells the same shpiel to everyone who walks through his door (I heard a convo with a patient right after me as I was "recovering" in the preschool nap room they have). I had to sit through personal stories and anecdotes that were dry and had nothing to do with me. Don't waste your money here. You will feel like a robot and a $ sign. I told them I couldn't follow their plan and didn't hear back for over a week, when they refused to see me on my own (more reasonable terms)!! I was bedridden with debilitating vertigos (due to advanced Minieres desease). After 1 year sick and 8 months of not getting out of bed and Dr telling us for years that there is nothing they can do my husband found Dr Drury after seeing some Youtube videos he came across. We made appt and travel 45 min each way. I've seen Dr Drury since that week. It wasn't overnight improvement since I was so advanced and neglected by my conventional Drs. SCAM!!! I was so excited when my MD sent me to a place that might be able to help me with my headaches finally!!!! But, when I arrived I had a funny feeling. Before seeing the doctor I was placed in a room to watch a video, then talked with the doctor for a bit before he took some x-rays. All the while he was talking about a calling from God to help care for people and being able to help people become free from pain, and so on. This gave me hope! After the x-rays he gave me a book, asked me to read the first 4 chapters and come back tomorrow - no treatment or adjustment today, then he gave me a bill for $270! When I returned I was told he could help me with 36 treatments as long as I paid $2100 + IN ADVANCE before I even received a single treatment. I said, "like you expect me to buy a car without test driving it? How do I even know this will work"? He said, "Oh, so this is how this is going to be", and walked out of the room. QUACK QUACK QUACK I was so disappointed - I entered in pain and left in pain and $270 poorer. I called them after reading a full page ad in the paper. This Dr. was so personable and the office staff exceptional. I had a consultation and x -rays and return appt. the next day. I was so excited to begin treatment for a neck problem. I saw the x-rays and was told they could help me. All good, right? Until the Dr. turns into a"used car salesman" and presents me with a treatment plan and an upfront cost of $2711. I was in shock. I have been in the healthcare field for many years and never experienced anyone asking for payment upfront. What if it doesn't work, what if I break my arm and can't get there or worse yet contact Covid. Well, you are out of luck, because they have your money. So deeply disappointed. I was already planning how I was going to work the appointments into my schedule. I have had chiropractic care before and I know they usually start you out at a few days a week. There is no choice, pay up or you are out. PATIENT BEWARE! Hold on to your wallet! When I called to make the appointment I asked the receptionist how much a consultation was. She asked if I had insurance. I said no I'm private pay. She said it was free. I asked her how much the adjustments were because I was worried about the price. She said "Oh don't worry we will work with you especially since you don't have insurance. We are here to help you." Well, after that comment I made my first appointment. At my first appointment I had extreme pain in my neck (my c3 pops out a lot causing severe headaches and pain into my left shoulder and back.) I was examined and told I would need to pay $200 now for X-rays and then he would develop an "action plan" just for me. If they know you need X-rays then they should have told me on the first phone call - right? He wanted his own also, not from another doctor. My medical doctor just took X-rays of the same area from complains of pain. He spent a total of 5 minutes with me and talked so fast I could barely understand him. He was in a big hurry. I just thought he was behind that day. 2nd visit - He did an adjustment on this visit, which is just pop the top 2 (c1-c2) in and said the rest would align itself over time. He was very rushed on this visit also. I spent maybe 5 minutes with him. I asked him then how much this would cost that I didn't have insurance. He said don't worry, when you come the next visit (scheduled 2 days later) I will give you my "action plan" for you. 3rd visit and last - He again was in a really big hurry - spent 5 mins with me and then had his receptionist come in and give me his "action plan". That plan was 24 visits - 3 visits a week for 4 weeks, 2 visits a week for 4 weeks and 1 visit week for 4 weeks. Total weeks (12) Cost $1640+$200 X-rays - total 12 week plan $1840.00! They wanted me to pay right then - upfront for the (12) week plan. The "plan" stated that if I came and didn't need an adjustment then of course he wouldn't give me one but yet I paid for it already, no refunds. Why not say, "you look fine today, no adjustment needed - then that cost roll over to another adjustment. That is what you would expect but NO not here - you pay upfront and if you don't use it you lose it. I told the reception I certainly could not afford to pay them $1640 for a service that was less than 50% going to work. She then charged be $120 for the (2) adjustments done. A total to his guy of $320 for x-rays I already had and 2 adjustments. Which we all know it takes more than that to fix a problem. Now does that sound like a fair deal to you? What a rip off - this guy is preying on innocent victims in desperate need of relieving pain. Who pays a Chiropractor $1840 upfront for services that last only 12 weeks and you get adjustments only when you need it - but already paid for it? Who can afford to get off of work all of those times? Why not just charge as the patient comes? What more proof does anyone need this guy is a TOTAL RIP OFF. How sick he must be to prey on innocent hurting people. He should have his license revoked. There are really good Chiropractors out there and guys like this make them all look bad. read more

Be 100% sure you want to invest into this doctor and his treatment. After my consultation, Dr Drury informed me of what he said was the problem, the plan of action and the treatment to cure me of this terrible pain. After the initial treatment period, I wasn't feeling any relief and informed him of this. He asked I continue to make the 30 minute commute, three times a week and continue having adjustments. Nearing the end of my treatments I still had no relief and upon informing him at every session, he finally gave up on what he said would cure me, and now wanted to go a different route with treatments that were both radical, and somewhat unproven, only performing them a few times. Having already invested valuable time and money, I couldn't justify paying him again with my time and money to continue doing nothing to help me. When you go to someone with a problem, and they tell you they can fix it and then can't, you should NOT have to pay for services that did not fix what was promised. I believe in Upper Cervical and the treatment they offer. But the doctor needs to know what he is doing. I went to ses Dr. Drury after a car accident. I don't think he is the best at what he does. He is a good speaker but when it comes to fixing the alignment in your neck I would not recommend him. I went to see him for about 2 months and there was no improvement. When I started the treatment I took my parents for treatment as well. There was no improvement for them either. I paid for all the sessions in advance and when I decided not to go anymore because I didn't see any improvement, I couldn't get my money back for the rest of the sessions. It was a waste of money for me and my parents. Next time I need Upper Cervical I'll go to see a different doctor. My sister and her kids went to a different doctor and he did wonders for them. Unfortunately this doctor moved from the Charlotte area and when I needed treatment I went to see Dr. Drury. because he was the closest one.
