I walked into this store to ship an item that was very conspicuously a wooden rifle stock, nothing more than a shaped piece of wood, wrapped and taped in a sheet of foam, as I did not have a box. The extremely rude older woman behind the counter immediately turned me away, saying that I could not ship gun parts, unless it was through a licensed gun dealer. I knew very well that the only items that require that sort of special care are serialized, unlike my item. Similar items have been shipped right to my front door through the same company from private individuals, and when this was pointed out, the lady just repeated over and over that it was the company policy, which I later found to be totally false. I eventually shipped my item through the UPS warehouse when they opened late in the evening. The employees at the warehouse vaildated my understanding of the law and company policy, stating that the very rude employee at the store didn't know what she was talking about and clearly discriminated against me. I will avoid supporting this store until the service there improves, or the cranky old woman is gone, you should too. Response to the "Comment by Local of the UPS Store" Unfortunately for you, you didn't read your own "direct quote of the TUPSS operations website" which states, "Firearm parts, which do not constitute firearms as defined under federal law (including without limitation Title 18, Chapter 44, and Title 26, Chapter 53 of the United States Code), and which otherwise comply with federal, state, and local law, will be acceptable for transportation." My item in question DID NOT CONSTITUTE A FIREARM. Please review your own quote and policy, because you actually just refuted your own argument with proof. What you seem to fail at understanding was the difference between the terms "FIREARM" and "FIREARM PARTS." Which are classified differently and addressed differently. A wood stock is not a firearm, therefore, it is "acceptable for transportation." I'm amazed at this level of gross incompetence, arrogance, and stupidity. It's almost as if the employee in question is the commenter, due to the complete denial of bad service and the level of ignorance/passivity by this commenter. read more

Walked in was greeted by a pleasant young man. Then "sour face" lady "helped". Couldn't use my UPS Corp. Account. Wanted to ship a laptop and small door key. The box and packing alone was a little more than $22.00! Not adding the weight of the actual freight. Very non customer friendly business and the lady wasn't any prize either. Went to the Post Office. No problem and saved about 70%. I love UPS but that store is one star. read more

I have had a box here for three years. When I go in personally I get my mail.....When I have it forwarded to me I never get it. Three times important auto renewal papers, auto titles, & auto license plates & home sale escrow papers have disappeared in their hands..They say they have them & they are being forwarded that day Priority Mail & I have never got any of the three forwarded Priority mail envelopes. When questioned about it they say they dropped it in the regular mail without scanning it & I don't receive it. I have talked to US Post Office & they say the UPS Store can use their own scanner & give that number to the US Post to trace it but the UPS Store claims they did not scan it. When my contract is up I am gone!!! The employees here seam to be angry they work here & take it out on the customers. read more
