The Flint UPS store is NOT in the holiday spirit this year! There were four of us customers that all drove there through busy traffic this afternoon to get our packages dropped off before they closed at 4;30pm and got there at 4:26pm and the woman working had already locked the doors early and refused to let us in. She even told us she would NOT let us in and that "they are closed", again it was only 4:26pm. We've all been in her shoes and want to go home after a long day but customer service is important and it's unacceptable to lock the doors early and refuse to service the public! read more

First of all, I have used this location SEVERAL times, all but one time package was delivered before promised. I shipped a box from this location on 7/31 expected delivery on 8/1. I looked up tracking number it stated that it has been initiated however hasn't been scanned. So I waiting until Monday (8/3) and still the same thing. So Tuesday the 4th I started calling the store (as I work a hour away from this location and not available to go there while their opened) between Tuesday and Wednesday I called 17 times with leaving a message 3 of those times, requesting a call back on Thursday I've yet to receive a call back. So when I went in Curtis "The Manager" is rude, wasn't helpful and doesn't care about any customer except who is walking thru the door to raise his revenue and refuses to give his superiors number out. I have spent money to ship my package which is school uniforms to get them exchanged before school starts now I'm sitting here with no uniforms and past the exchange date. I will NEVER SHIP from this location again! I went back in 2 weeks later, inquired with Curtis. He said he just heard back from corporate because their system was down. If there's any issues he would contact me. On 9/3 I called the store of course no answer then I called corporate again and I filed the claim because it STILL wasn't done. This UPS store is HORRIBLE! My items were packaged and shipped by this store and arrived damaged and broken. The contents were insured but the store never processed my claim. The store manager, Curtis Hall, never returns phone calls and is very rude and disrespectful. They took my money, damaged my items and treated me badly. Avoid this store at all costs. Very poor customer service! Not one hello, how can I help you, I will be right with you. Counter clerk answered the phone as I stepped up, she looked at me, pulled her scanner out, scanned my phone, handed me a receipt and never said a word to me. I actually had to say "thank, have a nice day and come again" . Avoid at ALL costs! I have been working for one year (March 2022) to locate a shipment sent from this store that was not delivered. Stated contents are irreplaceable. Low and behold, said package was considered "lost" in June of 2022. A check was issued from Corporate to store 0176 for declared value and shipping and I have yet to receive any communique from UPS-Flint that this occurred. I now will stop searching for my mailing and consider this non-communication an ongoing act of incompetence and a total disregard for customer service. Rest assurred, UPS Store Corporate (CA) will receive complete details of each receipt, attempted communication and documented correspondence. I would give 0 stars if I could. My elderly mother had a set of beautiful hand painted china that her brother sent her from Japan during WWII. She decided to send them to Florida to his daughter. My sister packed them in a box, wrapped in newspaper, just to get them to the store safely. My mother paid $150 extra to get them repackaged for shipment. When the package arrived, several pieces were broken, and my cousin was heartbroken. After a bit of questioning, we discovered that they were never repackaged, and arrived in the same box, wrapped in the Flint Journal. My mother had purchased the insurance, luckily. When the insurance, for $700 was purchased, the woman at the counter said "for dishes?" and didn't want to sell it to them, but it's a good thing they got it. It wasn't the money, mind you, but these dishes traveled across the ocean on a boat many, many years ago, and only one piece was broken. We have no idea of the actual value, undoubtedly in the thousands, but my mother at least received the $700 and sent it to my cousin. Use their services at your own risk, and purchase the insurance! read more

How not to run a franchise. Shipped a fragile item. Purchased the optional insurance as well. Item was received poorly packaged and the label was placed upside down so the item shipped upside down. We called the store numerous times regarding the resulting claim- they never call back the manager never seems to be in. Owner is Curtis store manager is Jamal - I strongly encourage you avoid a headache and not use this location. It's been over a months since we sent the store proof of value and we called UPS corporate who states the proof of value was never sent to them by the store so they can't process the claim- one word for this location incompetent! read more

I've been selling tickets through stubhub for years, even when stubhub was going through fedex for shipping. Shipping tickets though stubhub is free. Anyways I was in the Flint area and needed to ship out some tickets, so I stopped by this UPS location. The employee informs me that there is a charge. I told the employee that shipping tickets has always been free. She informs me that they are independently owned and charge for their service (which is free at every UPS store I've ever been to). I told her I'll take my business elsewhere and she follows up with "we're the only UPS in Flint". So to sum things up, this UPS store has additional fees and are overcharging customers because they are "the only UPS store in Flint." AVOID THIS LOCATION!! read more

Very poor service. I have tried to call this place on several occasion. They NEVER answer the phone. I have had to drive there each time. Then they give excuses for not answering; anything from they didn't hear it to the latest excuse that there's something wrong with the phone-some times it rings and Sometimes it doesn't. Duh....if there's a problem with the phone report it. Most of the employees and not very engaging and they actually act like they don't like their jobs. I try to call today because I dropped off a package over two weeks ago and the tracking shows it has not left the site. Again I tried to call no answer so I'm going to have to drive over there. This is my last dealings with that store. I am absolutely done with them.I'm going to try to make a complaint through their corporate office. This is ridiculous. read more

Shipping anything to and from here is a nightmare. They are woefully understaffed and the employees are under trained. Management needs to get a handle on this before it gets worse. The workers are not competent. They do not know how to do Freight jobs and make boxes big enough to ship them with the freight services. Sorry, will not use this location. I got a notice on my door at home that said they tried to deliver a package and to pick it up after 1pm the next day at the Miller RD UPS store. Went the next day after 1, told me there's a "$5 a Day Storage fee so I owed $10 because they got it day before. I refused to pay, she called her store manager who was rude to me and refused to release the package and said they would just send it back to UPS. I called UPS customer service from store and they told me I could not do that and if I did not leave they would call the police. DO NOT USE this store. UPS said it did not even show In tracking it was left at the store and that they never heard of a store charging for picking up or hold of a package. I have never been treated this way. And after looking on Yelp, I am not the only person they have done this too. If you have had a bad experience there let me know. I am pushing this with UPS to get something done. read more

Please do not utilize this location for your shipping needs! In Nov of 2017, I shipped a pair of 1/2 carat diamond earrings back to the store in which I purchased them. I bought the earrings to the store, with the same box they were shipped in. The lady () who assisted me INSISTED that I declare the earrings to be valued at $800, even after I told her they only cost $300. She said it would guarantee protection for me (and her). She then took the earrings and completed the packaging and shipping for me, charged me then sent me on my way. Well here we are, now in March 2018 and guess what, the earrings have disappeared! I called and called... and called, asking if my package had made it to it's destination because the jewelry store was still expecting payments for my earrings. UPS insisted that they did make it, and had a name for an individual who signed for the delivery. So after contacting the Jewelry store again, I was informed that the box did make it, without a scratch or dent evident, only there were NO earrings inside the box, only the cleaner which I also sent back. This conversation happened in December of last year. So now, rethinking my initial visit to the location, I believe the associate at the store stole my earrings, hence her insistence on the unnecessarily high value (I've NEVER had to ship anything of this nature before so I only did as she instructed). I followed the steps of reporting a claim against my stolen earrings (again, in Dec of last year) and have yet to hear anything. I am still making payments on this jewelry each month as I financed them. I have called and called.... and called in regards to the claim and here, now in March of 2018, they say my claim is still pending and they have no answer as to when it will conclude. I am beyond through with UPS completely! Thieves and liars! Again, do not use this location, or this company for that matter! And to the associate who stole my earrings, please remember that nothing easy comes to a thief, but Karma. I wish you well and I hope you enjoy those beautiful earrings as much as my daughter wanted to. I'm sure it'll be one of the last few things you'll be enjoying anytime soon so make it last! ***And now I shall add that I just received a very rude phone call from the store manager, accusing me of lying in the review. Everything I've stated is true. Strange how she had no answers for me as to how I could give her associate a pair of earrings, a box of jewelry cleaner, and the original shipping box... yet only the box and cleaner is actually shipped she told me to she would contact me when she had answers and the ONLY call I received (from her)was about this review??!?!?!! Ive called her once, and was told my claim is still pending... and I called the claim dept and was not given any info and told to wait until I hear from the store manager. Where are my earrings, ma'am? Tell me that! I've chucked this up as a loss, and a lesson learned on my part. But you will not accuse me of lying about anything in this matter!! As the first review said I was to be charged to pick up a package that was already paid for by the sender. The employee called the owner and he waived the fee after my displeasure with the unknown fee. Do not get packages sent here unless you want to pay $5 to pick them up.
