Life is full of UPS and downs. My ex gf is always hungry so this morning, I Fed Ex again. And Americans have a tendency to overuse Postscript. That's why it's called the USPS. I raised the rating because they're so nice. I got the nicest letter from them and they're angels. Definitely 5 star response and customer service. Unsuspecting little store hidden away on the unfashionable southside of Joplin in a little strip mall - and they'll do all of your package mailing office type things that you need, but they'll do it for a pretty hefty price - much like Kinkos. And that's the reason I don't use this unless I have to get something done instantly and it's the closest or best option... I had to so I'm glad they were here. But meh to the prices. PS When it comes to boys, my gf prefers ups, not downs or half masts. read more

I'm looking for another place because they have messed up several of my shipments. I went back in to talk to the manager once but he wasn't in so I called, he apologized and said he would send me a $10 card to use there. I told him that's not why I was calling -- I didn't want something for free -just wanted my shipments to be sent correctly. They have continued to have issues and now I don't even bother to complain. I recently tried to go in here and send an expensive pair of shoes I had sold.. they immediately began trying to repackage and damage the shoes. It was a brown headed girl with glasses. Kind of heavy set. There was also a blonde headed girl with glasses who was very rude also. I feel like I was done wrong and I'm currently trying to find a complaint number. Hands down the fastest, most economical & reliable shipping service. Very professional, courteous staff. While I still use USPS for letters & very small packages, UPS is the best service for everything else. And this store in particular is a godsend. I just went into the UPS Store on 32nd Street in Joplin today at around 3:30. A huge 80lb dog come running at me, I started yelling for someone to get the dog away from me. I yelled 5 or 6 times before anyone reacted, swinging my package to keep it away. Finally the lady gets control of it, I told the clerk this should not have happened, that was not a seeing eye dog and it was off the leash, no response. I call back to talk to manager and she won't give me her name. She didn't notice the dig came in, "it just walked in with the lady" I asked do you normally just let dogs wander into the store off a leash? "I'm not going to continue this conversation, the dog wasn't attacking you, I saw it" So your manager can read the minds and intentions of an animal? If a dog is rushing at me, I assume the worst. There were two other customers in the store besides me, she had time to notice a fucking 80lb dog. This should not have happened, she wasn't paying attention and I could have been injured. NO ANIMAL SHOULD BE OFF A LEASH IN A STORE, THAT INCLUDES SERVICE ANIMALS. read more

i went to mail out dome automotive parts, they didnt explain why i was being charged to ship the box and made me pay before they would anymore. Then once they took my money they told me i could not use the box i had already packed my automotive parts in , they said they needed to repack in into a new box and that was why they charged me more then what their website said it would be to ship my items. I asked for a refund and they told me they couldnt give me a cash refund since i used my debit card and it would take 2 days to get it back on my card. so now im stuck waiting for that refund. Sticking to the USPS from now on much cheaper. read more

I got out of Stanford Hospital with half a colon and a bill for over $100,000 dollars. When I got home I found out that someone who I loved was in the Hospital in Joplin Mo with bone cancer. One of the last things I felt I could do for him because I am unable to travel was to send a present to him. UPS picked up my gift from The Vermont Teddy Bear Company and said it would be delivered by the 18th of November. It said it was out for delivery on their web site. The 19th it said it was out for delivery again. Then they rescheduled the delivery date for the 22th. I called the Vermont Teddy Bear company to see what was going on and they contacted the UPS in Joplin MO. The Vermont Teddy Bear company said UPS told them they lost the package and did not know where it was. Now the UPS has on their web site exception. A tracer has been put on it but not before complaints from the company. At this point I have no idea if my friend will receive the very last thing I was ever able to do for him or not. Time is not on our side and neither is UPS. Beware of how far downhill UPS has become. It used to be a good company but it isn't any longer. They do not even care about how their actions hurt others. I wish I was able to give them zero stars because they do not deserve even one star. read more
