We hesitate to write this review because Jonathan, the owner, is a nice fellow. We have shipped more than 100 car parts through this store without incident, including numerous transmissions. We have left positive reviews for this UPS Store in the past. But..... On Friday, January 26, 2024, we brought two expensive MG overdrive transmissions for this UPS Store to pack. Both transmissions were shipped via UPS to Wisconsin and South Carolina, respectively. Both transmissions were damaged. We filed a claim with our insurer, who denied the claim on the basis that the transmissions were not adequately packed. This time around, this UPS Store packed at least one of these transmissions, which weigh 105 pounds, in a box with a gross load limit of 65 pounds (!) with inadequate packing material inside. There are several new people at this store; perhaps this is the explanation for the poor job they did. We left the paperwork (which included photos of the obliterated package, our receipt for the packages from this UPS Store, and the letter from our insurer denying our claim) with the UPS Store for Jonathan four days ago and asked him to call us. Their liability for this damage is clear as a matter of law - we have checked with our lawyers. Jonathan has not called us to discuss this matter as we requested. We read the complaints about his store on social media, and saw that he was very responsive to those complaints - hence, this review. There is a window to take care of this matter outside of court in Wisconsin and South Carolina, but that window is rapidly closing. Jonathan, we hope you read this review and contact us ASAP. We will gladly remove this review should you resolve this matter properly. UPDATE: Jonathan B. Boothe, the owner, has not contacted us despite our many attempts to communicate with him. We have turned this matter over to our lawyer to sue the store and its owners. Very sad to have such an unresponsive and uncaring proprietor. We are extremely disappointed in Jonathan and will not be using any of his UPS Stores in Savannah. We've attached photos of the transmission as it arrived so that the world can see what a piss poor job this store - which actually advertises its ability to handle packages like this - did packing this transmission. do not have your packages diverted to the ups store on wilmington island for pickup. you are better off taking your chances with porch pirates. i diverted my packages because i was going to be working late on that delivery day and when i dropped by the very next day to pick up my packages, my bose speaker was "not found". i asked repeatedly for some documentation or form to substaniate my not receiving that package (there were 4 packages, but only 3 found), they said they had no form or documentation to give me. i said that i was not leaving until i had something to show i did not receive it because if i left without it and they clicked it "picked up" on their computer, it would be my word against theirs. i ultimately demanded the girl to write something down stating i did not receive that package as proof. of course, as i drove into my drive, my ups app went off and thanked me for picking up all 4 packages. i immediately called and filed a complaint with ups and then called hsn and filed a complaint with them. i think maybe bose was on the outside of the box because my shipping label said "hsn/bose". i guess nobody wanted my shampoo and skin recovery cream. never again will i do this. the girl there said it was signed for by someone there whose name sounded like to me "mertz" but it was not found. never never never again. bad bad service. maybe hsn should choose an alternate delivery service. read more

My local UPS store. Always dependable. Available. Efficient. The FedEx Office location is downtown, so this shop on the island is so convenient for me. The only thing that could be betterthe parking situation. Not enough parking available near the shop. But that's not the businesses fault. I'd like to give a special shout out to an employee named Mary. She is quick, courteous, professional, multitasking, and highly capable. I ship Amazon returns and car parts through this store. They are always helpful and polite, and waste a minimum of my time no matter how busy they are. Their staff tends to be young, and sometimes inexperienced, but they are always conscientious and the owner is usually there. read more

Y'all need to learn how to answer the phone. I'm trying to figure out why a second delivery wasn't attempted because I've been HOME WAITING before my package got dropped off at the store & nobody is answering. The store closes at 3pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday so now since nobody knows how to properly work a phone I have to wait until Monday to pick up my package. read more

The old bitch there whoever answered the phone, idk her name but I have seen her before. She was rude to the new employee from TN, wouldn't help her. Then I made A call today(about a month later) to inquire about my package and she answered the phone, as I was talking, interrupted before I could explain about it, and still can't figure out why I can't get my package delivered to my apt? Wouldn't let me speak 2 words without interruption. When I asked if I could finish talking, she cut me off again and said let me call you back. She also said, did u call the 1-800 number I said I couldn't get through, she argued the fact and said "yes you can" I tried to explain and she cut me off again after like 3 words!! The company I run uses UPS almost exclusively to ship approx $15M in product per year. I walked out of this location. TERRIBLE clerks. REALLY bad attitudes. It seems their idea of customer service is to provide 'service with a frown' and act like they are doing the customers a favor. Bad. Very bad. Stay away. read more

I am not certain what these other reviews are about but I have received nothing but great service when going to this UPS store. I can appreciate their professionalism and genuine attention to their customers. They have always gone the extra mile to make sure that all my needs are handled before leaving the store.
