We bought a very expensive painting in Towson. I must rely on the local auction house to give me suggestions as to who will ship the item we've purchased. They usually always give us multiple shippers phone numbers. I will ALWAYS as: "Who would you use?" (all shippers are not created equal). I was directed to The UPS Store in Towson and I must say "Thank you". I am keen to how polite a person is over the phone and I am always keen to the pricing I'm being offered. The Towson UPS Store exceeded my expectations....(and I deal with sales here in San Diego all the time). I forget the name of the fellow helping me but I remember thinking, "This must be the owner!" He was so polite over the phone, we received excellent pricing, the cost of shipping was much less than I expected and the package arrived on time. I got outstanding service from the owner himself. He spent many hours getting the 3d scan of many figurines right. The figurines were very small and difficult to do and I could tell he did not make any money off his work when you took in consideration the many hours he took to get it right. He used an excellent scanner, the Einscan, and initially I looked at a number of scanning services advertising in Tucson. Most of them shipped the object to L.A. for scanning and one scan was several hundred dollars. The cost for the 3d scans he did was twenty-five dollars a piece and he had the scans ready in a few days. I have been 3d printing for six years and have owned three 3d scanners so I was aware of how much effort he had to have taken to get the work done. When I compared the $25 scan cost per item to the other services in Tucson costing hundreds of dollars I chose the UPS store. I would go back to the UPS Store anytime. My conclusion was they were the only game in town if you wanted something 3d scanned. read more

I had to ship a $2000.00 amplifier that was relatively scarce, so I wanted to make sure it got to its destination in one piece. The person at the store was very helpful and packed the item with great care. However $300.00 seemed a bit steep to ship this from MD to FL. UPS will not insure a package unless they pack it for you at an additional cost. The next item I ship will be through the USPS. I will have to pack it myself, but the cost will be less than half with full insurance coverage. read more

I love this store and never go to the Post Office any more. They always recognize me since at one point I was in there weekly. They have been pleasant, smiling, and though there is often a line I think it moves quickly, especially if you compare it to the Post Office which has no interest in having happy customers. I've purchased multiple items from auctions and had the Towson UPS store pick up, pack and ship and send me the items, always with great results and well-packed. The most recent was a very large antique painting in a fragile wood and gesso frame. They ordered a special box for it to be sure to have the right size, and packed it as expected. I have had a mail box here for several years. The staff is always helpful and courteous. The hours are long enough each day for it not to be hard to stop by and pick up my mail. I have had them mail items for me over the years and they have always done a great job. I mailed a guitar to my son in London and it arrived in perfect shape. They even customized the box so that it met the measurements for a lower postage rate. They always take the time to do the job right. read more

I have used this store for 10 years. The staff has helped me time and time again. Recently During Covid 19 I sent a package to Canada and it was not delivered. Weeks later I received a call and was told more duties were needed. I called the UPS store and the owner worked as a go between. Pack it yourself or pay dearly. I needed to return an item for which I didn't have a box. I figured it would be simple to purchase one from a store that specializes in shipping. Well, after making a few simple modifications to a box, they charged me over $18 for "custom packing" - not including shipping. A warning would have been nice. read more
