The UPS service locations are not directly in charge of the guys that drive the delivery trucks, It's a different department of the franchise that is in charge of the guys that drive the trucks, but it sounds like they didn't even make a mistake and your the one the made the mistake so it's not fair for you to blame the store and anybody who reads Peter S. review don't listen too it because it's unfair and a load of crap. I recently made a visit to Victoria to visit some family and to make a presentation at a social media seminar. I was in need of a place to print number of pamphlets and business cards in a hurry. I Looked this place up online and was staying down the street from there in Oak Bay so decided to stop in and ask some information. The couple who own the store are so lovely and helpful. They answered my questions pretty thoroughly. I sent them a soft copy of the materials Saturday afternoon couple hours before their closing time and they told me they would have all copies ready for me Monday morning and were closed Sunday. I was very nervous that they might not be ready. But I had nothing to worry about. First thing Monday morning I go in and all pamphlets and cards are ready and looking nicely finished and packaged. I completely avoided looking bad in front of the seminar I had a presentation for since I was able to get my materials printed and done at this UPS store. Their level of customer service and care was excellent and saved my..... Definitely recommend!! read more

A business sent me a package by UPS. The UPS tracking information I received was horrible and the package, although in Victoria, was not delivered to the address to which I asked it be directed. I called this location to see if it was inadvertently delivered to them for pickup by me. They took the time to contact the UPS facility in Victoria and were able to tell me that my package was sitting there undelivered. I was able to retrieve it. Without the assistance of Nahid I am not sure I would ever have located it. I would recommend this store based on my experience with them and I will use them for all my further UPS related services. I've been a customer of the UPS store on Oak Bay Avenue for almost 3 years now. All of the staff there are absolutely awesome and have taken care of everything I've needed. I started with a small business mailbox and have utilized their copy/print, mailing, and packing services. Prices are great. They find the best price for the service I need and everything is done with a smile! As I have a mailbox there, I've even had cases where I've had a packages arrive with duty owing. They will take the extra effort of calling me and allowing me to coordinate with the driver so I don't have to chase packages with duties back and forth. Thanks for the awesome service!! read more

I finally decided to redo some carpeting at my office and the ensuing clean up resulted in several bankers boxes full of documents that needed shredding. I remembered that this UPS store offered a document shredding service so I dropped off my boxes with fears of a huge expense or some reason they would not take all the boxes at once. Instead they took it all, billed by weight (at a very reasonable rate!!) and gave me the assurance I needed that all the documents were properly destroyed. They kept what I hoped would be a simple job simple and made sure I was on my way in short order. 5 stars for the personal touch, will definitely use again. read more

I can't recommend the Oak Bay UPS store highly enough! They look after all my shipping and do it flawlessly and at a reasonable price. The service is always courteous and friendly. Little extras ( like packing) are handled effortlessly with all needed supplies on hand. The staff is knowledgable and experienced. It's so much more than shipping! I needed business cards and stationary and at first I went to a traditional printer. But the service and price at the Oak Bay UPS store was better! I received an excellent product and it came fast. I recently designed a new business card for a client and decided to try a different printer than I normally use and I am glad I did. I submitted the design to The UPS Store in Oak Bay with a rush request and they were able to print and cut them right in the store. I sent the files over on a Friday and picked them up Monday evening. Not many printers in Victoria have that kind of turn around, especially over the weekend. The print quality is comparable with other printers I have used in the past and the service and price was good. The folks at UPS store 482 are wonderful. Please see the other 10 or so reviews on this site also that show up as not recommended. I am not sure why that is but super happy customers. I have used them twice now. Every time they have made my son and I feel like family. They understand that customer service is about people. I can be fairly unorganized and have gone in with packages partially ready. They have been able and willing to completely get them ready to ship. They always take the time to talk to my son who now said he enjoys it when we go there. I highly recommend this store and will be back for sure. read more

I recently had to print urgent business cards for few meetings. So I went down to these guys on oakbay ave. The problem was that I was travelling in few days and I needed at least 500 business cards before flying out. They opened their store for me on a Sunday(I know right!) And had their designer make the design( I gave him a hard time I should say). They did a great job printing my business cards and delivered them to me Monday morning right before me leaving the house to head to airport. I was really pleased with the speed and accuracy and will definitely recommend them to all of my family and friends. read more

I had a very important document that needed to be shipped overnight to Ontario. There were some technical difficulties at the Island UPS facility and my document went "missing" for a day. It was incredibly stressful and difficult to find answers but Nahid did not give up. She went above and beyond to find my document. I tried UPS customer support and it was nonexistent. I was so grateful to have brought the package to Nahid for her personal support. I realise all shipping companies can make mistakes, it is knowing that you have someone like Nahid working to correct them that makes the difference. read more

I have used the services at the UPS store on Oak Bay Ave several time. The first time was to have colour brochures printed for work. The paper quality and the colour was excellent. The service was efficient and courteous . I have recommended their services to the others. . The next time I had to have a package delivered to Edmonton within a tight time frame. I enjoy going to this UPS outlet. The family who work there are very friendly and helpful! The nicest thing about visiting a small business outlet instead of one in a big mall is that you can chat with the owners; it makes it a personal experience instead of one more item on your to-do list. BTW, people who blame the franchise for UPS's policies (like the necessity of providing photo ID) are just silly! Those policies are there so that no unscrupulous person takes your package! It is the same at the regular post office -- so take your ID with you! read more

The owners are nice people who are very friendly and want to help and they go out of their way with the service! OK, I haven't actually used this service yet. But my family and I needed a mailbox in advance of a pending move to the Victoria area. It turns out this can be arranged without having to come in personally. Sam explained the steps and was amazingly prompt, friendly and helpful in our interactions that took place via email and phone. Absolutely amazing service. I needed to courier two heavy boxes for my work and have them delivered within a day. I came in very last minute, and the young man working there was incredibly helpful and did the best he could to get me the fastest shipping date and lowest price. On 2 occasions I have used the services of the UPS Store on Oak Bay Ave. to send important documents to my lawyer in Mexico. Prompt delivery was necessary for the sale of a property over there. The deliveries were done earlier than expected, and I was very well impressed, with the courteous and professional service I received. I have visited this UPS store many times to ship parcels to the interior. I left it a little late this year but they were able to get my packages off and I heard from my family that they arrived today, in time for Christmas. Canada Post couldn't guarantee the delivery unless I paid more than twice what The UPS Store charged. It's a good deal, and I know I can rely on my items getting there on time. read more
