REVIEW : Mike Lavery is the Best! -The housing market…read morewas beginning to waver throughout this past summer of 2022, and after having lived in our aging home for 45 years in beautiful Foxboro, my husband & I were suddenly needing to move down South. -We were really doubtful that we could ever sell our home not only within our time constraints, but also @ a reasonable price that would suit our financial expectations... especially as this was the only home we ever bought, but never had the experience of selling a home. -Through a relative, we were were introduced to Mike, who immediately reassured us that the task was indeed possible, and explained step by step how we could make it happen. -Despite some unforseen events/obstacles occurring, & despite our fears/anxieties that we would not be able to physically and mentally part with our home, Mike was able to calmly guide us every step of the way with his expertise, advice, and esp his unwavering patience and assistance, beginning with how to ready our home for an Open House (finding reasonable priced people for roof & exterior house maintenance, indoor home cleaning, junk removal, leaf removal, and of course, a reliable real estate lawyer) ... and even helped us move items z up into the attic)...All resulting with finding a buyer within a week of the Open House, resulting in the sale of our home in mid-Sept. -But that did not stop there, as Mike also helped us arrange a much needed lease back with the new owner as we needed time to complete further junk removal & packing necessary for our move down South. -And of course, helped us find a resonably priced interstate mover as well. -Mike was always available via phone /text or email, always patient with our multiple often inane questions, and giving reassurances when needed, and checking in with later to see if our move went well. -Of course, we already miss Foxboro and friends we left behind, but there will be a special place in our hearts for Mike, without whom we could never have made this move down South.....we couldn't have chosen better a better realtor! -Thank you, Mike, from the bottom of our hearts. Unlike my past experience with another agent in another town who only made me sign papers that binded me to using her without much benefit to my end, Linda started working with us immediately without any binders. Also unlike my last agent who did nothing more than showing up with a means of access (i.e. could not answer any question about the property), Linda came to our subsequent showings punctually and fully prepared: she took careful notes of our wish list, studied the recent history on a potential property before showing us (and would offer to pull permits/paperwork as proof of major work done), had the comps available for our reference, and gave us professional input on which "blemishes" were acceptable and which were the red flags. As first-time homebuyers, we found her guidance and opinions very useful and valuable -- we always learned something new at each showing! Throughout our house-hunting journey, we found that Linda was not just here to sell us any house so she could collect her commission check; she was here to educate us as buyers, and we could feel that she genuinely wanted us to be happy and comfortable with what we wanted to buy.
