To his credit, Simon realized he was in the wrong and gave me back $300. But things he clearly said he would do, he did not do: 1. Fill in gray breeze in front walkway. His excuse was that he couldn't match gray breeze??@!! - Lowes, Home Depot and Dons all carry it. 2. Do the signature "final touch" weeding of the back yard and clean the back patio. 3. Augment the rock in the back yard and front on the right side of the driveway. 4. clean the weeds out of the rocks in the front and sides. I gave Simon the opportunity to come back and fix these things, but he opted instead for a barrage of texts excusing his behavior and blaming me for ingratitude and impugning my character. Simon excuses himself from these agreed upon obligations by suggesting he did a lot of "extra" work not contracted. Overall, the job that he did do was done well, but he really left me hanging by overpromising and underdelivering. I had to hire help to finish his job. Beware.

We had several jobs that needed done in a small amount of time. The work was all done on time and according to the contract. Luis, even trimmed a bush that was in the way of the painting and took care of several wasp hives that were discovered while he was working. He cleaned up the debris from the fence he fixed. Thanks to Luis and his team our house is the nicest one on the block! The work we had done included painting entire house, sanding and painting garage doors, fixing a door frame that had wood rot, rebuilt a section of fence that was falling down and rebuilt a few steps that lead to our back yard. He painted the ceilings, trims, doors, closets, walls, and baseboards according to our desires (e.g. eggshell, gloss, etc). Communication: Sunny was constantly communicating throughout the project. This is my first priority in selecting a contractor. His initial response via Yelp (amongst 5 other contractors) was quick and he was able to provide an in-home estimate at a time convenient for me. Sunny kept me informed of the plans throughout the process. Customer Service: This family was professional and courteous. While not every project is perfect, this team strived for it and quickly resolved any issues that were encountered. Quality: The quality of the paint job was excellent. Floors and fixtures were protected with painter plastic and tape throughout the home. He even painted our shelves and master closet cabinets per my request which required a bit more sanding/different supplies which worked out. Sunny believed in using quality paint to last and to accomplish the job right the first time. Value: The value of this company's work was excellent considering that this was a sizeable job. They diagnosed it as the latter, thus saving us a ton of money (& costing them a ton in billing.) Tristan & his helper said what they'd do, did what they said. Every time I looked out the window they were busy working hard, no smoke breaks, no standing around doing nothing. They finished the job in one day and billed us a reasonable amount.

Update: I went to update my original post on Upright Cleanings facebook page and couldn't. I wanted…read moreto post pictures of all the places that were left untouched in my house and to show before and after I cleaned. After almost six months of having to clean my house from top to bottom and also having to reclean places Upright Cleaning "cleaned", I'm even more disappointed in their service. I just don't understand how a "cleaning" leaves streaks on every window and how they only clean half of one window. Hiring them to clean my house was my biggest waste on money in 2017! I would not recommend Upright Cleaning as my house was still dirty after a deep clean. I hired Upright Cleaning Services to deep clean my new home on Nov 12th. They initially came out and cleaned for roughly 5 hours. The house was noticeably cleaner after doing a quick walk through. I returned to the new house a day or so later and on closer inspection a bit of the cleaning had been overlooked. I contacted Upright and EJ was able to come right over that day to fix it. We started to move in a few days later. I again started to notice certain things included in a basic clean weren't just overlooked but they weren't cleaned at all! Examples: My fridge/freezer, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, min to no sweeping. My kicthen cabinets and drawers had powered cheese in them. There was food under my stove. Grease splatter on my backsplash even after pointing it out. Food debris left in fridge and freezer. Cob webs left on walls. Baseboards and grout in bathroom was dirty. The things listed are in addition to the items I had EJ come out reclean. I again contacted Upright letting them know this time I was not happy with the job that was done. Instead of asking them to come back out, I asked for a portion of my money back as I would have to clean or get someone else to do so. I was told that based on the contract that no money would be giving back and that they could come back out and clean. While I truly do appreciate trying to resolve the issue by coming back out but I don't trust that they can get the job done without me hovering over them and i don't have the time to do so. Honestly, if this wasn't the third time they would have to come out I would be fine. And I honestly think it would be a waste of my time as they didn't do it initially or the second time. To sum everything up, EJ and Amelia are nice people but they do not have an eye for dirt. Maybe in a smaller home they could do a more thorough job but not anything 1700 sq ft or bigger.
