I should have listened to all of the reviews I have read online about the ridiculous and arbitrary "cleaning fees" they charge students upon moveout. Long and short. I moved my daughter into the apartment two years ago and was appalled at the condition of her private room. We had to clean it ourselves as it was very dirty and had obviously not been cleaned. There was a hole in the door, ripped carpet, window had mold on it, beat up furniture, etc. My daughter tried to navigate all of the issues herself as she is now an adult but never got resolution with a lot of issues. They apologized for the room being dirty but did not send anyone to clean, we had to do it ourselves. She had constant issues with the neighbor above her who had a dog, that barked and ran around all hours of the day waking her up. Several times I mailed time sensitive packages that said they had been delivered yet the front office never notified her and instead held them in error. My daughter would have to go up and ask them to look for it, and they would always eventually find them put somewhere incorrectly by an employee. Parking was very difficult - way more cars than parking spots for the tenants. To sum it up, my daughter got charged a cleaning fee for her room and "2 drip pans". There were still two other tenants living there when she moved out - what she supposed to do about them cooking when she is leaving? So over 100 charged in bs cleaning fees (she took a video of her room and bathroom and it is clean and absolutely cleaner than when she moved in). It is sad that this company screws with young college students. It is evident from the reviews that this is common practice so be prepared if you move in, to factor some type of fee in when you move out because it will happen. I felt the place was safe and I appreciated that she had to pay one price for her room and not take on the responsibility for a whole lease and utilities. My roommate stole my mail for 2 months, threw out EVERY item of mine from the common area for no apparent reason. Lied to maintenance about my plants saying it caused bugs while I was out of town. No one came to check inside. I lost over $2,000 worth of personal items. Manager told me not to involve the police he would reimburse me, NEVER DID. Said he couldn't without giving a reason months later. Dog poop is everywhere you step, ppl above me had 8 animals & 6 ppl living there (which breaks the lease) and I was told "there are not that many animals there now" when one of my many complaints was actually taken seriously. I would recommend anywhere else in town to live. read more

The Verge is a shit show. They LOVE to charge for "damages" and messes that are nonexistent. I moved out and very thoroughly cleaned my room. I scrubbed the walls, vacuumed, dusted, and cleaned the bathroom. I also cleaned the moldy windows, which by the way I never opened because the screens were broken. And, when I told The Verge the screens were broken I was told they were not. Amazing though, that after I kept my window shut for the entire summer, I opened it to find close to 30 dead flies in the window. Gross. But yeah, the windows grow mold not matter how much you clean them or disinfect them. That's great. I was charged 117 for "not cleaning my room" and for dirty drip pans... Meanwhile, I have two roommates who are continuing to live there. Thus, it does not matter that I cleaned the kitchen before I left because it IS IN USE. Such f**kery. When I moved in to my room, the door literally had a giant hole in it from a domestic assault that happened earlier (my roommates informed me). The room was filthy, with dirt on the floor and mold in the bathroom. I am sure they charged the gal before me, as they charge everyone, so I wonder what in the world the cleaning fee is for if they aren't cleaning the rooms? By the way, my toilet also grew tons of mold no matter how often I cleaned it or the tank. Super cool. You can hear anything and everything here. From the neighbors getting it on, to the neighbors dog upstairs playing ball, to the people walking outside. I called to complain ab out my upstairs neighbors multiple times last year. They continuously shook my ceiling in the middle of the night waking me up. I have videos of them stomping. I showed these videos to management after my multiple calls did nothing. I was told they would give my neighbors a warning. A lot of good that did. Sure, you get your own bathroom and the amenities at the clubhouse are nice. The staff are also extremely helpful and responsive, they are the saving grace of this place. But that is all The Verge has going for it. Parking is a mess and the apartments are extremely run down. All of my furniture was extremely scratched, torn, or broken. A lot of potential gone to waste. Ellensburg is an amazing place with other great options available. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this amazing city anywhere else other than here. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever dealt with. First off at move in nothing was clean or in the apartment like it was supposed to be. After us mothers complained for weeks they finally received what they were told. At the beginning of summer my child had someone take over her lease well the verge personal but the person in a different apartment for better placement, and never told my child. The person taking over my child lease got ahold of her and told her. My child knew she had to pay but then was asked to vacate the room they had someone who wanted to move in. So we packed everything up and moved out. Sent the key like they asked. Forward to August 10 and she gets a bill owing for 2 months. I guess it fell through, but how is that my child's fault? There's a reason reviews of this complex have gone way downhill over the last year... A new management company took over in July or August '21 and completely mismanaged the moving out process for both myself and a roommate. Each of us had throughly cleaned out our individually-leased rooms, and a couple friends helped deep clean the common area prior to my departure. The Verge still charged each of us $255 upon our move out, in part because of "belongings left behind" without giving me any specifics of what these belongings are. I am in my thirties, have lived in 6 apartments, and have never once encountered these kinds of charges when leaving a unit. If you are a current resident of the Verge, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you take photographs of your room after it has been cleaned out when you leave! You will probably need photographic evidence when these apartments overcharge you with move-out fees. If you are a CWU student looking for housing in the area, do yourself a favor and find somewhere that won't attempt to rip you off as they did to me. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. Health hazard in the apartment and they didnt even reply to my messages for several weeks. When the maintenance guy finally decided to look into it, he just wanted to cover it up so he could go hang ads around the apartment. The issue never got completely resolved. When it was time for move out check, they sent the same maintenance bum who already was mad that i dared to ask for basic maintenance. He made up bogus issues and they charged me immediately, before i could dispute it. These people are dishonest crooks. Do not come here. You will regret signing the contract. read more

The Good - Simple, pay your rent and you are good to go for the month. It is nice to not worry about paying for anything else. If something breaks or even something as small as a lightbulb goes out, a work order will fix it for free and no hassle. It is a convenient place to live with washers/driers. Mail is easy to take care of and their communication is good with normal things such as work orders being fulfilled, rent is paid, etc. The Bad - Staff is still on the ruder end of the spectrum. Never call the office once you move in, always go to the office and speak face-to-face. My experience is never getting the full story by calling. Also when I put in a work order for something I was told by my roommate that the worker told him to let me know to "not do that again" regarding the circumstances of why I needed a work order. Last time I checked it's not your job to parent your tenants, but it is your job to fulfill work orders and move on. The Ugly - Here is why my rating goes from being 5-stars to 3-stars. One is that you cannot transfer the lease over to someone for the summer, second is to expect bugs of some kind or another to be on the rise in your unit once it's about May/June. Lastly, I've heard from many people that this complex tries it's hardest to make every dime they can off of their tenants, whether it be moving-out charges, to account charges you already paid but they filed as something completely different. read more

It's tempting to jump into a lease here, but once you've signed the lease, don't expect help from the office management. There is a constant attitude with most of the employees and an overall lack of accountability. On move out, expect to be screwed for anything and everything that is and isn't jotted down on your move in sheet. If they give incentives to sign the lease, chances are they will forget to give them to you, and you'll have to call for a month to get any answers. Then, when you finally get your incentives (gift cards, etc), they won't work properly. Oh, and they'll try to get you to resign a lease a month and a half after you move in to secure their bottom line, but god help you if you need something from them. As for the apartment, it's nicer then most places in E-Berg, but you kind of have to walk on egg shells since things break so easily due to the lack of quality in things in the apartment. The cable and wifi aren't as great as they advertise, and most things aren't exactly what they advertise to be either, but that's a kudos to their advertising team I suppose. Save yourself the stress of the management and the money, and find somewhere else even if it doesn't look as pretty. I was skeptical of reviews when I was moving in, but they've been mostly spot on. read more

Place is a dump, cheaply built and not well maintained. My son's unit had a hole punched in the door to his room at move-in that they NEVER fixed. Good luck getting help with anything after you've signed your lease. The apartments are decent enough, however they were slapped together pretty quickly. When you move in your apartment is very likely to be filthy. We need to hire a professional cleaner to say the least. The internet didn't work for the first several days and after a harrowing experience with tech support we can now surf the web. However, you can't stream Netflix etc. The claim that they supply high speed internet is completely false. The computer center is barely usable and the gym is still closed for, "renovations." I left a message for manager to call me back 48 hours ago and still no response. The parking situation is also a nightmare and they only have one medium sized dumpster to accommodate the trash for hundreds of not 1000 people. Before you sign your lease, they'll hound with calls and appear to be very diligent and helpful. Afterwords, you can't get anything done. The pet scoop stations are beer filled with bags, the walkways are in disarray and incredibly dirty. As far as apartments go, I've lived in a few in the town of Ellensburg. Move in costs may be slightly higher but I would highly recommend University Court. The Grove is a complete sham run by hustlers and degenerates. The review posted below that gives five stars is from an employee who was most likely made or paid to put up a 5 star review. There's no integrity to be sacrificed with this group. read more

The Grove at Ellensburg is without a doubt the smartest choice for students looking to move off campus. The staff and management are very friendly and will try their best to work with you on any issue you may have, assuming you don't come to them with an attitude, which is understandeable. Give respect and you shall recieve respect is one of the most prominent lessons I have learned while living here. I am currently going into my second year here and i couldn't be happier. They have everything here and its all included in rent. Tanning, Printing, Coffee, Game room, XBOX with Kinect, the list goes on and on. I personally love the 24 hour gym but there are many different things i could say about this place. Most people try to go straight into owning a house after the dorms which i DO NOT reccomend, the respsonsibilities of rent, deposits, and the fact that you can use financial aid for rent is all too stressful for someone trying to truly live "on their own" The Grove is a great place to get accustomed to living on your own. PROS Friendly and Cordial Staff and management Rent covers everything you could possibly need including Cable and Internet Pet Friendly Maintenance team that fixes/repairs broken appliances or general wear and tear of all apartments Awesome parties and events to connect with friends and fellow students Spacious living space and everyone gets their own bathrooms Pool, bonfire and 24 hour gym CONS *These cons are honestly what you make of them, they can be little issues with the right attitude Pet deposit and monthly pet rent Utility charges (Basically if you run your apartment at 80 degrees with windows open you will be charged for the massive amount of electricity youre using, so don't) No recycling 3 blocks from campus All in all i would not want to live anywhere else in Ellensburg while i attend CWU, The Grove handles everything so you or your child will have minimal stress living here as far as responsibilities. It's a great place to live if you're in a tight spot. However If something major happens to your apartment (like a possible break in) you just have to write up a work order. As of right now with covid and everything the managers aren't available to speak to you. When we were moving out someone tried to break into our apartment this was a Thursday. I filed a police report the next day. There were no managers on call or anything and no one got in contact with me until I called them the following Monday. And I was unable to speak to a manager and all they could do was create a work order and have a manager come look at all the damages that occurred. We don't want to be charged up the ass for something we didn't even cause and they will because this place charges you up the ass about anything. Decided to live here (BIG MISTAKE) I Renewed my lease months before the current lease ends and was CONFIRMED with the Verge that I am all set for next year. And so I leave the country to be with family after school year. I return ready to start next school year only to find The Verge literally rented out my room to someone else WITHOUT EVEN NOTIFYING ME THAT APPARENTLY THE RENEWED SIGNED LEASE IS NOT VALID BY THEM AFTER CONFIRMING EVERYTHING WAS FFFFFINE. I officially was forced to move and lose my room because of them terminating a current resident's lease is legal and terminating a resident waiting in line to get a place is illegal.... brilliant I got NO EMAIL and NO CALL about there being a problem with my lease. It was just LUCK i CASUALLY CALLED THEM. They DON'T CARE about actual residents living there and favor NEW RESIDENTS by giving away people's rooms WITH NO WARNING BEAAAAAAAAUTIFUL THANKS TO YOU VERGE, I AM NOW HOMELESS! Staff there FAILED TO PUT CURRENT RESIDENTS FIRST and decided to start filling up rooms way before leasing term is over and failed to state that apparently the FIRST COME FIRST SERVE APPLIES TO EVERYONE NOT JUST PEOPLE APPLYING TO GET INTO THE VERGE. Ever since they've changed management, these apartment complexes have gotten better. I think that it's super affordable to live here because it's all inclusive including furniture. Every day, I feel like a queen living here. In each room, you get your own bathroom, walk in closet, and furniture. The apartments itself are spacious, have washer and dryer in the unit, and A/C! My old sh*t apartment did not have A/C. The student staff are also very friendly and helpful as well. The clubhouse is nifty to have access to and the pool is nice in the summer. Sometimes during the school year, they have events like taco tuesday or flap jack friday so that people can get to know each other. I like the community at The Verge and I feel like I am in a sense living in a suite but way more affordable than on campus housing. So excited to be living here next year! read more

I will keep this short. The Grove is poorly managed and neglected. The Apartments are not cleaned nor is any maintenance completed between renters. Apparently rats are not managements problem, they just come with your new Apartment, along with the filthy rugs and couches. The living conditions here are deplorable. If there was a rating below 1 star it would be more fitting. Do not rent at the Grove! Update: After a few phone calls and reaching the area manager, the Apartment was cleaned and all required maintenance was completed. The Area Manager was extremely professional, helpful and resolved all issues quickly. The clogged filters from heater and AC ducts are FIRE HAZARD waiting to happen, up next, official complaint to fire marshall.. My son and his roommates don't even have pets. It's a health hazard and I am filing a complaint with public health department. The Verge is horrible same as The Grove was before The Verge took over. STUDENTS, PARENTS, YOUR MONEY IS TOO VALUABLE TO PAY RENT AND GET SUCH A HORRIBLE LIVING CONDITIONS AND POOR SERVICE. Discussed these issues with management when I lived there... all we got back was a "sorry." * Maintenance visits every other week to fix things that aren't even necessary. "Fridge maintenance?" ...uhhh sure. Then when you actually have a problem they take forever to show up and fix it. During the summer we had no AC. Then a few before that we had a power outage... only in our apartment. * And by the way... it's called privacy. When my roommate and I discussed this maintenance issue with the assistant manager he tried to accuse us of hiding something. "Do you guys smoke weed?" uhhh NO! but have you heard of privacy? I like mine! THANKS! * Dog poop is everywhere, even my dog is disgusted, if you have a dog, please pick up after it! Everyone has to do his or her part around there but it doesn't happen. The Grove needs to figure out ways to get all the dog waste out there cleaned up. It's unhealthy for other residents and dogs. * The loud excessive partying, yes we all understand it's college living but someone needs to do something about the quiet hours. This place is so crappy that you can basically hear what is being said in the apartment above you. It's easy to pin point where a person is walking from one part of the apartment to the other. There's always trash outside and yes occasionally there's a puddle of vomit some lovely person has left. GROSS! * Let's not forget about the random people that like to stumble into your apartment at all hours of the night. If you have a guard dog... put it to use! It's ridiculous. How are we supposed to stay safe around here? We shouldn't have to lock our doors when we're home and worry about creepy drunk guys storming in. * PARKING! - I don't think anyone will disagree with this one. It's TERRIBLE. I don't know what they were thinking but we are going to need some more room here. I find it ridiculous when I have to park on the other side of the parking lot from my actual apartment. And what is "CA Parking?" Who cares? There isn't enough room for your lovely CA parking... SORRY! Residents should come first in my book! * FULLY FURNISHED? Yes the apartment does come fully furnished... but have you ever gone to sit back on the couch and hit that plank real hard? It HURTS. They say it will cost about $250 to replace these cheap couches. They are clearly out of their minds. Oh yeah... and the beds... OUCH... the couch is more comfortable to sleep on. * ROOMMATE MATCH? I don't think so. I had one awesome roommate and the other one was satan's spawn. We got home one day and he was just standing there like "Hi, I'm your new roommate." We didn't even get a warning. * Now... have you ever been accused of not paying last months rent? Or the month before? I'm sure you have... everyone I've talked to has had this problem. Seriously keep your receipts! Lucky I could prove it on my bank statement!! * Last but not least, there are constant problems inside the apartment whether something on the stove has broken off or your toilet is screwed up. When you move out be prepared.. they write you up for "damages" and not having it clean enough when it was cleaner than when you moved into it in the first place. They told me I had to pay $1000 in damages and cleaning.. Like I was the ONLY one that lived there (sarcasm). If I didn't pay they threatened to send me to collections. THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS! Something that sets the verge apartments apart from other communities in the area is the location, security, staff on site, and the fully furnished units. Other than the items listed, The community welcomes everyone and everyone who is ready to be a part of the verge family. to elaborate more on the location, its located 0.7 miles from CWU and .5 miles away from wing central, which provides a great place to relax after a long day in class or at work. The location makes it within walking distance, biking distance, and driving distance from CWU. Secondly, the security is second to none because the keys on property are electronic fob keys. They keys are unable to be duplicated, and the Verge club house has a 24h surveillance system to keep all the residence safe. Third, the staff members are always willing to assist you after hours with their 24h call service. I had an issue that resulted in a flood from my dishwasher in the middle of the night. a team member showed up to fix the issue in less than 15 mins. last, the units on property come fully furnished, which saves a lot of time and money. Hopefully im not the only one but living on a college student budget makes my pockets hurt, so thank you Verge for the furniture and microwave! read more

This place is basically like that failed fyre festival that made the news. They paint a pretty picture but it's a far cry from reality. If you want paper thin walls and floors that allow for an unusual amount of sound bleed through, then this is your place, otherwise run for the hills. Management will also try to nickle and dime you to death with fines, and they are slow to respond to some maintenance request (I haven't had a properly functioning light in the kitchen in almost 2 years). When you move out they say it's 500$ to get out of your lease, and then its another 500$ in cleaning fees that they charge you WEATHER OR NOT your apartment needs it. Good: Don't have to share a bathroom. You have a roof over your head. You have a bedroom door lock. Furniture is provided. Okay: Staff is friendly enough. Most staff under the age of 25. On-call system is iffy. Okay parking spots, but people speed through there. Sometimes you get free food and coffee, but don't expect much of anything. In-house washing means no waiting for ALL of your clothes. They do leave notes regarding air filter changes and inspections. Okay pool. People do pick up garbage. Document things when you move in, you might get a break at check-out. Carpets, at least in your bedroom, have to be professionally cleaned. Pay them for $150. My service requests were usually fixed fast. Furnishings have wear-and-tear. The apartment is NOT AS ADVERTISED. Sample is dolled up. Your flooring hides dirt and stains really well. In the showroom, they distract you with a fridge of treats. It's literally full of candy bars and ice cream to distract you. It's weird. Meh: Pool looks kind of "iffy." Lots of dead grass. The workout room looked okay. Lots of dog poop. Kind of got picked up once a fine was threatened. Tenants smoke pot-- not a surprise. Skimpy building insulation, so expect to freeze during winter--keep heating down to a bearable 67, use blankets, get an electric blanket and a space heater, you're fine. My washers took super long to do a laundry load, so I took half my loads home anyway. The student staff REALLY is friendly-- you can tell they're trained to make you feel at ease. Pool parties are very loud, but are done by 8pm I think. Some tenants are of tools, but most are okay. Wi-fi can be slow. Sometimes the cable channels don't work. No "full coffee bar"-- it's a lie. Move-in is 2 days before school starts unless it's a lease takeover. The bad: My first year, I had neighbors from hell. The walls are papier-mâché, I swear. You hear EVERYTHING. You hear door slams, bedroom TVs, toilet flushes, peeing, laughter and T.M.I. conversations, every thump that may or may not be a basketball being dribbled, and every song. My hellion neighbors thought they were a) in the middle of the woods and b) that there was a concrete wall between us. They played their music until 2am usually. One night, I called the on-call at 3am, and my rude neighbors just placed their speaker up against my wall and sang along. One upper-staff member brushed it off. He told me to go talk to my passive-aggressive neighbors or call the sheriff, and I was told the Grove would be more assertive. Luckily, I think he left. The lady there now is more understanding. My crap neighbors also left the second year so I don't know if it would have continued. I know it's an apartment, but it was frustrating. I heard this stuff over a fan, a white noise maker, and my bathroom fan--thinnest walls ever. Like to party? This IS your place! Mention the Grove to a non-Grove person and the first thing they ask about is alcohol related. Didn't go to private tenant or Gove pool parties because that's not how I spend my time, but fair warning: drinking does happen. And pot. We had a door sock and smoke still got in. Warning if you have breathing problems. People also talk loudly in the parking lot in the middle of the night. They leave only about 50% of the time when asked to leave. Someone peed in a breezeway once, and another time someone advertised for a rager with sidewalk chalk. This "lifestyle" is a money pit. Thought I was zeroing out my account several times, but somehow it would be $20 here, $10 there. I only once went over on my utilities, but they'll just stick notices in doors, so you have to go see if you really went over. Break your lease-- $500. They'll bother you and give you the "one time only while it lasts" vibe whether you're interested or not in renewing. You can probably live cheaper and get more peace elsewhere. Can't suggest living here. It's pretty much like dorm life, only with a kitchen, your own space, and washing machines. YOUR rent is under $700, but combined, you're paying $1200+ for two-three people. It's an "okay place to live." read more

Simply put, the worst place you can ever live in. From the day I moved in these people and this place have been a pain in my ass, I've never seen so bad of management in my life and do this poor management I have rats and a dysfunctional room. The dryer is broken, the neighbors are always loud, my shower didn't work (I had to fix it) and the room has yet to be cleaned from the previous renters. I never lived here when it was "The Grove," but as far as I can tell the new management is awesome. I have never have any problem regarding rent, maintenance, or the staff. Wasn't too loud, my upstairs neighbor had a dog which barked but that was about it. Overall, solid place and a bang for your buck for all that's included. I would recommend. read more

I've dealt with bad property management but nothing like this So they bill the "Grove" or "Verge" or what have you as worth the price because you get so much with it: $500 a month for a room, high speed internet, a pool, a club house, AC, furniture, they provide it all right? Wrong Their idea of high speed internet is a system by which everyone in the same building appears to be connected to the same network, you cannot use your own modem, and you must register any wireless devices with an outside portal they use for their internet. I cant get a decent download or upload speed at 4:00 AM when everyone is asleep so you can imagine what that's like when everyone is trying to watch Netflix at 6:00 at night. Awful internet so you can be sure that's not a good reason for the weighty rent. The clubhouse is a great idea in concept, but after a few interactions with property management no one thinks to themselves "Remember those jokers at the front desk that tried to get me to sublet a place for more than the property is worth as a resident? or that time they randomly stopped accepting visa and I almost got evicted because they didn't tell me until two months later? Yeah lets go hang out in there with those guys. It'll be a blast." So yeah, not really worth the price here either. Furniture is a joke. I have had chairs just fall apart of their own volition. I had maintenance come in when my bed frame was rickety, splintering from a design flaw, and watched them put a new frame together only for it to splinter in the exact same way. I ended up packing the frame into the closet and throwing the mattress on the floor. again, not a great selling point. There are loads of issues elsewhere. Every other apartment has a dog and not one of these folks seem interested in cleaning up after their shit that gets left literally everywhere on the property. Neither my room mate or I were notified when we were getting a new room mate, he just showed up one day with a key to the place. Oh and instead of real keys, the doors use a digital key system which sounds more secure but in actuality means your lock might run out of batteries at some point, and when that happens any digital key at the grove can open your door. There are a number of visible scuffs and messed up carpet from before I moved in. Do not sign a lease here. For $500 a month you can get a lot when it comes to housing in Ellensburg, but only if you don't waste it at The Verge read more

This place is probably one of the worst apartment complexes in Ellensburg, WA. I was luckily able to get out of my lease but that came with a price. While no other apartment complex in Ellensburg charges anything for getting out of your lease, The Verge charges 85% of one monthly installment of rent. This is stated in the lease agreement, however I wasn't expecting to get out of my lease early, so I was prepared to pay this fee when the time came. When I moved out, they charged me for cleaning of the bathroom. Of dust!! You know, that object that collects when no one is around. I was not happy. In my opinion they 100% try to charge as much as they can to drain what little money you have. After paying over $600 to get out of my lease, I had only $60 to my name. Other than the fact that they really try to drain you of all of your money (which they did to me), when I moved out, they have maintenance do a walkthrough of everything and as a professional curtesy, they should have let me know when they were going to be doing this walkthrough so I could've let my roommates know, however that wasn't the case. They didn't notify me or my roommates and I felt awful that they were doing a walkthrough without my roommates being in the know of when they were going to be doing it as I wasn't there and hadn't been there since February as I lived with my boyfriend (and yes I still paid rent at The Verge), I just couldn't stand to live there any longer. And when you put in a formal maintenance request, it takes them forever to actually come and help and again they don't even let you know if and when they are coming. The staff are mostly college students who really have no idea what they are doing at all and really don't offer much help. There is ONE dumpster for all 11 buildings and many have to walk all the way across the parking lot, which offers very little parking, to get there and when you do, there is trash everywhere and it makes me sad for this environment. And while the apartment comes fully furnished, which is actually really nice, the furniture is terrible and it looks like it was all handed down from person to person. The ceilings and floors are paper thin as well, and you can hear where the person above you is walking and what they are doing at all times. This place, in my opinion, is way too expensive and they need to understand that they cater to mostly college students and that we are not made of money so paying over $600 every month is a hassle. At the apartment I'm living in now, I only pay $250 a month which is now a lot more doable. Thank goodness I got out of my lease. It is hell to live there. Don't do it. You will regret it. Not only is all the staff super rude and unhelpful (the mgr Vince in particular), but these rooms are way overpriced. The one nice thing is that everything is included in the rent. (heat, tv, internet, etc) but $525 for an apartment in Eburg? Kind of ridiculous. Most of my friends pay in the $300's. I was first attracted to the Grove because they are the newest apartments on campus and they are furnished. Little did I know that ALL of the furniture they supply is cheap and breaks easily, plus the wood on my desk and bedside table is completely cracked. Things are constantly breaking around our apartment because they built so many of them in a short amount of time and didn't really seem to care if things were built for quality. There is cigarette butts, puke and dog poop all over our building. They don't really seem to care about noise complaints because the people next to us are incredibly rude and loud and they haven't done a thing about it, despite multiple complaints. The tanning bed room is not ventilated and it literally gets so hot in there that I can't breathe. After using it twice, I refuse to stand in that hell room again. The "gym" is pretty lame as well, a few run down machines. The pool is unwelcoming for anyone that is about a size 4, the 19 year old girls think that they own the pool area and will just glare at any other girls that come in that don't fit into their category of "beautiful". It is just an awkward and terrible place to live. Take it from me, look at other places before considering the grove. read more

The Grove in Ellensburg is absolutely the worst choice! Allow me to explain a few of the issues I have encountered while living at the grove, to start there is constantly dog poop all over the grounds, followed by cigarette butts, and vomit stains from all of the parties that go on during the weekends. The grove does not have any rules on quiet hours so if you have noisy neighbors, that is unfortunate for you. My roommates and I have complained to the grove about these issues stated above however they fail to find a solution. Which leads me to my next concern, their customer service. Move in day at the Grove, my apartment is absolutely trashed. It had looked like the people had a party the night before they moved out and the grove didn't clean up a single bit. There was still hairs left in the sink and the bath tub, not to mention urine still in the toilet. Along with garbage everywhere. We expressed our concerns with what we had seen with the front desk and all we got was an apology, we did not get to speak with a manager, and the gentleman at the front desk sure seemed like he didn't care a single bit. Once you move into the Grove don't be surprised to find a bunch of things broken, but no worries it will only take maintenance a couple months to fix. Please take my advice and do not make the same mistake I did by living at the grove, it is the worst choice! read more

Horrible management, no one would respond to calls or emails, the staff is all students who would refuse to transfer me to the manager. My apartment specifically had a rodent problem, I had to call pest control myself and have them coordinate with the office because maintenance and managers would not respond to our calls. Went a whole quarter with living room blinds broken so people could see in because maintenance said they would be there to fix it. So frustrating and not worth any of the other amenities the complex provides. read more

So I assumed people only write reviews when they are angry, so I moved in here with an open mind. But this place is a joke. If you don't care about your $20k a year education, then this place is for you. If you only care about partying, then this place is for you. If you want to keep your sanity, do not move here! It sounds wonderful and so cheap and great, but you will be treated like a pile of dog poo (which there is plenty of all over the lawn). There has been cock roaches found inside my roommates bathrooms. There is mold in the windows. Nobody is concerned about quiet hours. Other residents will leave their bags of trash in front of your door, and management will not come to get it for you. They offer a computer lab area, but nothing is ever working there. It is said that it is for college students, but there is a family of 4 living above me. They say they have high speed internet and great cable, but I have to leave every time to do my homework and the cable barely works. Yard maintenance will wake you up at 8 am on the weekends to mow the lawns/ blow leaves. There's beer cans everywhere. I was told that I signed my lease during a "promotional time" so I was supposed to get a $310 visa gift card when I moved in and it has been two months and i have yet to receive it. PLEASE do yourself a favor and do not live here or give any of your business to them. It is a real life nightmare. read more

Fair warning... if you are getting ready to move in to the Verge be sure to take pictures (time stamped) and write down EVERY thing you see that's not perfect or it will come back to bite you in the butt! My daughter just moved out and although she left the place much cleaner than when she moved in they were wanting to charge her for every little thing even though most of the stuff was already in that condition or caused by a previous roommate and her dog. read more

I would not rent from this organization. Be careful to make sure to have a staff member walk through with you when checking in and checking out. We were charged expenses 1.5 years after moving out of the apartment because we did not have an exit appointment. The Grove did not notify us of any charges, we received a collection bill from a collection agency! Hurt my credit and caused a headache when buying a home. read more

Bad service bad management the worst in the world and a bunch of kids working at the office and when you asking about anything everyone has his own answer no body knows the correct answer I actually don't recommended this place at all I really had a bad experience with them its a lot to explain....one of the reason why they decreased the rent amount because no body wants to live here so they just do anything to get more ppl, it was a big mistake that I moved here otherwise I would live a homeless rather than this shitty place. read more
