Already budgeted for her price it was hard finding a replacement days before the wedding. I ended up finding Ray on Wedding Wires & the Knot. Initially, I had him on a shortlist but my husband was doing his calling around too and we both ended up with Ray our lists. Eventually, we decided to go with him and we have not been disappointed. Patience is a virtue and he has a lot, lol. He and his team were flexible with pricing and I loved that they knew the area (Fort. Lauderdale). He was up for scouting locations for pictures and providing a contingency plan in the case of rain. On the day of my wedding, we had some setbacks and had to change the times, again he was super flexible and was personable throughout my wedding and reception. I made the huge mistake of going to a Walgreens to have my passport photo taken. Please don't make…read morethe same mistake that I did. The lighting was horrible and I was totally dissatisfied with the end result. So, I decided to look for a professional studio that could do my photo justice. Studio 2000 had excellent overall reviews and so I decided to give them a try. When I arrived at their location the door was locked. My heart sank because I thought they were closed. As I was turning to leave, the door buzzed and I pulled on it with a huge sigh of relief. I made sure I had made it there before their 7 PM closing time. The photographer asked me what I needed and I told him 2 US passport photos. He ushered me into the studio and had me sit on a little black stool. He advised me of how to pose and I followed his instructions. Within minutes he captured 2 shots and asked me to choose the one I preferred. He then printed them out and handed them to me in a lovely sleeve. I was in and out in around 10-15 minutes. If you're looking for professionals who can get the job done at a reasonable price, Studio 2000 should definitely be your go-to!

Unbelievably, this would have been a 5 star review, had I written it on the first day of my…read morebusiness with them. However, I regretted that once before, so decided to hold off. I found this business online, while searching for someone to scan some old photo negatives onto disks, so I could have them put on canvas. I only had 6 negatives that I needed to have done. We finally found the little shop and then weren't sure, because the name above was different. There are two related businesses under the same roof, making it somewhat confusing if you're driving around, trying to find it. I thought this was going to be a fast process, not more than a few days at most. No such luck. The standard turn-around here was 2 weeks. That was an issue, since I had to have them off to the canvas company in 16 days, and I don't like to do things at the last minute, in case there are any problems. Since there were only 6, they said they would do them faster and not charge me the customary rush fee. I thought this was a very nice offer, and left quite happy. 10 days later, I hadn't heard anything, so I called. They had just finished them. So, I went and picked up the disk and the negatives. First glitch - they had not written down which of the several dozen pics that I wanted, so they did them all. That was okay. Although, when I looked at the disk, I wasn't altogether happy with the quality of the scan. In fact, there was a good size white spot on one of the photos that wasn't there on the original. I went to look at the negative to see if I could find anything on it. Uh-oh! That whole strip of negatives had not been returned. Not good. I called them and almost never got anyone to answer the phone. The guy told me I could call them back on Mon. (this was late Fri.) and they would redo the scan. That wouldn't work, I had to submit them on Sun. So he told me to call the next morning at 9:00. When I did, there was no one there, but they did show up about 30 min. later. It took them quite a while to find the missing negatives, which had been put in the bin of another customer! I got the new scan in my email, very late on Sat. afternoon. The color still wasn't right. I called them immediately, but no one answered. So, I was stuck, I had to send it in. I also had to pay the canvas company an additional fee to clean up the scan. They eventually offered to refund that fee to me. I called them on Monday to see if they could at least return my missing negatives by mail, so we wouldn't have to make the 30 min. trek back up to Boca to pick them up. They said they should be there the next day, maybe two. About 6 days later, I called them back. They told me they would check the tracking. "Hmm...it's not moving." I was told. So she said that I should receive them the next day. Nope. Called back again. She told me that the tracking said that they were due for delivery the next morning and she would send me the tracking info. I never got it. I had the feeling I knew why. I finally did get them the next day. I checked the date that they had been sent, and found that it was the day before. So, the two times she told me that they were on their way and she was checking the tracking, the negatives were still in the studio. I understand glitches, we all have them, one or maybe even two. But telling me you've shipped something you haven't is over the line for me. I'll be needing more scans, but I won't be going back.
