Terrible experience. My father in law was taken here from the hospital after a fall. We were out of the country and live in the Detroit area. My husband drove up several times. His father received no rehab to speak of, and when my husband asked, they told him his dad could walk around in the hall for rehab. He was housed in a room with two other men. The Villa discharged him earlier than planned, giving only two days notice, with no plan or guidance for post-discharge. At discharge, he was dirty and smelled bad. My husband helped with him with a shower and found dried blood in his hair from his fall three weeks earlier. His dad fell again just 36 hours after discharge, because he was weak and had received no rehab. If you can avoid this facility, please do. read more

AWFUL! My sister was here for short term rehab for her shoulder replacement. She ended up with a total of four infections on her incision site & a stage 4 bedsore. They don't feed you enough food, some days she doesn't get any pain medication because they claim they ran out. My sister was left laying in a wet soaked bed of urine for hours. I called the front desk and that went nowhere. I called an ombudsman to help seeing I'm currently not in Michigan. I finally found an opening at a new facility & she loves it. PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. LOOK AT THE RATINGS FROM MEDICARE..... read more

This place is incredibly frustrating to deal with. Every time we have a conversation and think we've gotten through, we find out that actually nothing has changed. Nothing was done that they said would be done. Our loved one got worse after their stay there because nothing was actually done for them except basic care. They talked about diagnostics and treatments but none were done. Even though it was premature, when the insurance stopped paying, our loved one was discharged. The staff are very friendly and our loved one said they were treated kindly so points to them for that. I honestly wouldn't recommend this place though. The windows in the room were filthy. The view was a pile of what looked like construction debris. The kindness of the staff is really all this place has going for it, in my opinion. It's not a nursing problem. It's a lack of communication problem. read more

I stayed there for only 6 days following my surgery. What a nightmare!! In those 6 days, not once was my bed changed, or was I offered a shower or even a bed bath! Figured after surgery, that would be something to be concerned with. Guess not!! Also, after the first day there, there was FECES on the bathroom wall, that even after calling it to peoples attention, was NOT cleaned off!! The housekeeper told me, "I have nothing to clean that with"!!! It stayed there for the rest of my stay! I had to share the bathroom with 2 other women (which I understand), but had to deal with their dirty toilet "hats" and personal cleaning cloths!! The whole experience there was NASTY!! My mother was sent there for rehab after breaking her hip. That place made her go down hill and did not listen. She complained of sitting in wet diaper for hours. The food was horrible. The head nurse didn't listen when I said something was wrong and I had to go manager. My mother had a stroke and they ignored what I was telling them. Do not send anyone there for anything unless you want them to die. Horrible. Place should be shut down. read more
