Stopped here for the RV park. Was so happy we did. The staff in the store were very friendly and accommodating. The RV park is a large gravel lot with flower beds, trees, nice picnic tables, fire pits and full hook ups. What set this apart is the large beautiful new community building with a comfortable lounge, TV, microwave, utility sink, laundry facilities and private restroom/shower rooms instead of stalls. It's not directly on the river, but it walkable to the river BUT it is away from the nosy 93 read more
We stopped here almost daily for gas and various other things while hunting in the area. The people are very friendly and accommodating. My husband needed a certain size of Darn Tough socks that he couldn't find on the rack. The woman at the counter assured him she could find them in the huge shipment she had just gotten in but not opened yet. She went out of her way to dig through her boxes until she found just the right pair he wanted. My brother-in-law bought a tub of the huckleberry ice cream and said it was the best he has ever had. It's a small store, but they seem to have every last minute item you might need or want, and everything is very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back when we come through next year! read more

Great place for last minute items before river trips! There was plenty of extra warm gear in the clothing shop. A little place for filling out river shuttle information! And there was a little store with amazing snack area. I got to try a huckleberry milkshake and it was the bomb. I got the berry cobbler it was warmed up and so delicious!!! We found post cards pre stamped of Idaho that we sent out before our trip. Lots of room in the Parkin lot for parking and even a last min gas full of needed. The workers inside were very helpful and happy to see some rafters. They wished us well and hoped for good weather and we were on our way to the main salmon river. read more

Incredible value - we stayed here twice now before launching on the Salmon River. Cute, clean, comfortable rooms (up to 4 folks), INCLUDING a great dinner off their menu and take-away breakfast in the morning all for a rate you'd expect for room-only. Their shop is now expanded with all kinds of outdoor, flyfishing, river gear - covering whatever you forgot to pack before you head on the river. Fantastic food, helpful staff, and your last supplies opportunity before heading into Salmon River. You can tell the owner takes pride in their hotel, store, and restaurant. We'll be back soon! read more

Beautiful location on the river. Space #1 on the river is fantastic. Only complaint is the rust in water to rv. Camp host's are Great. Nice "little" store but not a restaurant. Employees in store are fantastic. If you need a kayak portage ask for "Jaci", shes great. read more

I got a good burger with crispy bacon, crispy fries with their fry sauce (good). And, it was surprisingly cheap (given the lack of options nearby). read more

While traveling through Idaho, our 7 car caravan stopped for gas here. What wonderful people! We ended up having a delicious lunch and also bought some huckleberry syrup, pancake mix and muffin mix. I also purchased some beautiful pottery items. When you find yourself in this neck of the woods, stop, relax and have a great meal. read more

My husband and I stayed here for one night during our road trip honeymoon. We loved it! The room was clean, adorable, and had modern furnishings. Dinner and breakfast are included in the rate - both were delicious! The location is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and we left happy! We would 100% recommend staying at The Village at North Fork. read more

The rooms are updated and very clean. The dinner selection provided with the room have a lot of variety and are tasty. Breakfast offered a choice of a to-go breakfast or a hot breakfast. Everyone was very nice.Beautiful location as well. read more

Specialties
The Village at North Fork is located halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks along scenic highway 93. Sited at the confluence of the North Fork of the Salmon River and the Main Salmon "River of No Return," the Village is ideally situated for visitors to the Frank Church Wilderness. Our facilities include lodge rooms, full hookup RV spaces, a general store, fuel dispenser with 24-hour pay-at-the-pump access, a café, Wi-Fi and coin-operated showers and laundry. While we offer everything from a post office to a boat ramp to the state liquor store, our guests tell us it is our friendly hospitality that keeps them coming back. We like that.
History
Established in 2008.
While the business name changed in 2008, the business has been operating in this location for over 50 years. It has long been a tradition to stop in North Fork for a burger and a milkshake.
Meet the Business Owner: Tam A.
Tam's family has lived downriver on Panther Creek for 70+ years. She had always been interested in this particular business and with help from her husband and children her dream came true. Tam and husband, George, purchased the North Fork Store & Cafe in January of 2008 and left the corporate world behind. The business is operated by Tam, George, her two sons and their wives. Extra assistance is provided from time-to-time by the two youngest children. Tam takes great joy in working with her extended family while living in a wildly beautiful area.
