The meals for the retreats are very good- great selection with a big salad bar, fruit, soup and then hot choices too. They have basic retreat rooms- very simple but I think they each have their own bathroom and the rooms were very clean. The meeting rooms are also good. Overall I highly recommend Techny Towers for a retreat!

The Upper Commons is great for groups as it is a beautiful, bright and airy space with many windows and tall ceilings. There is a newly renovated area with open granite counters and a mini refrigerator with storage that is welcoming and useful for serving drinks and food that overlooks the seating area. Dave was a joy to work with in every way, from showing us the space and signing contracts to assisting with the set up of our tables and seating on the day of the event. When a mishap occurred on our end, he was very gracious about it. Everyone had a wonderful time at our event, and this venue was perfect.

If you are not familiar with the Evangelical Free Church, it is a normal, mainstream evangelical church. No weird doctrines or anything. :-) Trinity International University located in Deerfield is actually a Evangelical Free school. The church has a lot of good programs and support groups for the community, too. The congregation, I feel, is a pretty good mix - it's not all rich, white North Shore folks. :)

We found all of those things at WPC and became official members a year later. This is a church that inspires us to action and has given us ways to teach our kids about helping the homeless, hungry, and lonely in the north shore. It was wonderful , the people were great and God is there. I love the lord even more for showing us a glimpse of how heaven will be.
