Call the store and an automated blurb comes on ...press 1 to schedule with the Optometrist or talk to them 2 for a sales associate 3 to repeat the options. Guess what... it doesn't register any choice you make. The stores seem oblivious to this. So I guess we will look to fill our eyewear needs elsewhere. It's a shame because the glasses we got previously were great. I guess it pays to pay attention to your website and phone systems.

From start to finish its a nightmare there!!! I wasn't even dome putting my contacts back in my eyes un the exam room andnfhey brought the next patient in and started his exam!!!!! Then the girl who was supposed to measure me for glasses was in such a hurry to do whatever she was doing she literally kept being like oh your done then and getting up to leave and I'm like no I need to order my glasses! She ended up just shoving my papers in my face and then leaving. I tried to order glasses online at home so I could ya know have some glasses?!?! They never did measurements so I had to drive the 35 minutes back there rhe next day for them ever so rudely to the 10 second measurement they should of done during my apt. I hate this place never had a good experience and will drive as far as I need to in order to go elsewhere.

What comes out at you is seeing the interior, clean and all, but filled with empty stores and dark with some of the lighting being off. Usually in those situations, their trying to save money by cutting down on electricity, which is no issue, but as long nobody gets hurt in the dark areas. It was pretty easy to navigate the mall, as I didn't need to look at the map for the most part - only two main hallways which makes it extremely convenient to not get lost. Some businesses I found here caught me by surprise and remained open still such as JCPenney, Ruby Tuesday, Burlington, and FYE. As long as they are still thriving, that's what matters. There were no signs indicating that were closing soon, and most of the inventory looked in great shape. The majority of the other stores seemed to be doing okay on my visit, none of which I saw were closing soon. Depending on each store, some looked busier than others, which didn't come as a surprise for the most part, but the time of the day and year plays a role in it as well. The food court looked okay, with some open and closed as well, and looks good for the most part. It's not the prettiest-looking place that's eye appealing, but is clean and kept up which matters the most. They had decent choices to offer just by looking. The movie theater is still open and running which is great to see. Overall, the mall I believe falls in the dead category. Although some sections of the mall are dead, others are alive and filled with shoppers. It looks like it depends on the area. Even though that is now, that could change in no time.

9/13/2021 This pandemic does NOT bring out the best in people. Through out my appts have been…read morecancelled cancelled and cancelled again, initially it was understood as they closed due to mandates. My yearly exam has been pushed to 18 months, while they take on more lucrative patients and procedures to comp for the time they had to close and reduce visits due to COVID. I get it, I understand medical economics. Today, I get the call confirming an appt later in the week. Keep in mind I fall into several categories of "compromised" Including diabetes and Systemic Lupus, right now I am in an active flare of some sort or have a new auto immune issue altogether. I offered up my status, knowing my exams are generally 30 min or more with another person mere inches from my face I had the audacity to inquire if my provider was vaccinated. I was met with more hostility than their needed to be and a lecture of how that was their personal medical information. Ok I get that too, I worked in healthcare as an RN and a Risk Manager. Not one sentence was uttered that was remotely indicated anything reassuring about measures being taken or practice policy regarding protecting patient, staff and providers was given. State mandates temp checks, masks and hand sanitization and those are followed or at least they were last time my spouse visited. This all came on the heels of last year, when I received a bill (first bill delivered to me) that indicated I had 30 days to pay or I would go to collection and find a new provider. This came just after I received a letter returned as undeliverable that contained a payment made to them almost 2 months earlier. How did I know if I didn't get a bill.... periodically I go to my insurance website and look through the claims processed and found one for them that 1) I had not received a bill 2) I had not paid, so... we sent them a check. I replied to that poison pen letter with a copy of the envelope and check returned as undeliverable and expressed my frustration of this sort of tone being taken when up to that date I had not received a bill. Bottom line is the practice manager expects patients to be understanding that the postal system was more than flawed by returning their check, but it was inconceivable that I had not received two previous bills and it was my responsibility to ensure they were paid. Whoa..... They expect payment at time of service... that said, they lack the ability to produce an itemized bill at time of service, one that is required by most flex benefits accounts. This pandemic has brought about a more hostile, destructive attitude when dealing with patients. I suppose if you have the ability to pay 100% upfront, in cash and wait for insurance reimbursement everything would be fine. I don't fall into that category. I will say the physician I have seen there is top notch, and ordinarily I would be willing to put up with a lot to remain under his care. That said the ancillary staff from the practice manager down to reception can often leave a lot to the imagination. They expect certain leeway that they will not return to the patient. Considering we generally don't get behind on medical bills... these actions were way over the top. In the end I don't care what their personal beliefs are regarding anything covid, I just needed to know enough to ensure I was as safe as I could be and in the end they are unwilling to do that.... so take your chances.
