However, I could not have had a worst experience trying to plan my wedding. My wedding date was for October 8, 2016. This is the weekend that hurricane Matthew hit us. People all over Jacksonville were evacuated, we were flooded, and flights were not allowed to even land here. As you can imagine this caused a bit of an issue for family members and members of the bridal party as they were not able to make it to the wedding. They weren't even able to get into Jacksonville. Of course I had to cancel. Because the hurricane did not technically hit on that Saturday at 6 PM when my wedding was to be held, I was refused a refund. I was offered dates to reschedule but not for another year or so. To make a long story short I lost hard earned and saved money that I had put back for over a year to plan my special day. There were several other factors and issues and things that went wrong, but this was the starting point and the main issue that I just cannot fathom. Someone caring and family owned establishment... All they care about is your money.

Would not recommend to my worst enemy. FOLLOW-UP: Seems the wedding couple was also threatened and denied their deposit back unless I removed the negative review. That right there should show this woman's actions and morals.

I purchased my online ticket for $20 (fee per car). I arrived at 5:45 PM with an entrance time of 6 PM. I suggest arriving early as there were already three rows of cars ahead of me. I was pleasantly surprised as I originally felt $20 with a bit steep to drive through a Christmas light show. But the show took roughly 20 minutes to complete. And I thoroughly enjoyed everything as you can see from my pics;) I would suggest trying the fried Oreos if the vendor is there next year. So good! They are in the parking lot for purchase after you exit the light show.

I would like to start by saying The Nest is a beautiful venue, which is why my family decided to…read morehave a graduation celebration at the location. Originally, the celebration we planned was supposed to take place in August 2019, but it had to be moved to April 25, 2020. There was no major issue with doing so, but there was a delay with communication with the Nest's staff. As graduations have been delayed/cancelled for the spring classes and social distancing has been enforced, the graduate decided to cancel the party altogether as many of the guests had to travel from out of the area to attend the event. On April 1st, we notified the facility to inform them that we would like to cancel the party due to the pandemic and that we would like a refund for the deposit. We did not receive a response until May 1st, a month later and nearly a week after the event was supposed to take place, that we would not be able to receive a full refund for the deposit. The representative mentioned that the fine print states that you cannot receive a refund, but the contract does not state refunds for deposits cannot be issued. She offered to postpone the event again, but the graduate has moved to another state so this isn't an option. After mentioning this to the representative, she mentioned sending half of the money to cashapp. Again, the facility is nice, but in order to deliver top notch service it would have been wonderful to have a more attentive planner and to conduct a business with a venue that abides by the contract.
