I ALWAYS have a great experience at this store. Great management and staff, intelligent, courteous and helpful. I have been shopping there for a few years. The store is always kept impeccable and there are many varieties of supplements, vitamins, food, drinks, shampoos, soaps, deodorants, body washes, face creams etc, to choose from. I decided to try this location because it is close to me. I am so happy that I did. I did prior research but found Dominick the manager to be a wealth of knowledge. He was so helpful with making sure I knew exactly where to find my products and prevented me from doing a juggling act with my arms full. I really appreciated his second to none customer service. I just had the worst possible customer service, or I should say, lack of, experience at this store. Have had great service in the past from Donna, but the fellow behind the counter today could not have been unprofessional and rude. I will not stop with this post or a call to Dominic, the manager I was told was on duty today, but on break when I was there, but I will reach out to The Vitamin Shoppe headquarters, as this employee should not be allowed to stay on the job any longer. The Fredericksburg location of TVS is pretty typical in its layout and is kept up well. The staff do seem to be a bit lazy compared to other TVS locations I have been to. Since this location isn't as busy as others, it is much easier to find popular items and promotion items in stock. read more

Staff really knows their stuff and Dominic is a terrific and engaged Manager. Donna is incredibly knowledgeable and the entire team cares about their Customers. Of the many stores throughout the region, this is my favorite. They go above and beyond. read more

Drove here to pick up an online order due to the product not being available anywhere near me. Had a problem with one of my items and the guy behind the counter resolved it in a way in which I was unsure if he was being rude or joking. Not sure what his deal was but the manner in which he was talking to me in didn't feel right especially with me not knowing him and him not knowing me. Horrible customer service. I went in knowing exactly what I needed, just grabbed my item and was ready to check out. Lady at register had a full blown conversation with someone and didn't once acknowledge me. I understand you want to run your mouth about BS but a simple "I'll be right with you" or even "sorry for the wait" would have been respectful. I'm patient when it comes to retail or any other service, but I stood there for a decent amount of time getting ignored. Then when she FINALLY stopped running her mouth, she walks away and whispers to someone while ringing me up. Couldn't even finish the transaction without her attitude, and she clearly said something negative about me. Girl, bye. I'll be ordering online instead of dealing with your sorry attitude. read more

Sometimes I think the only reason I go here or that its surviving is because there aren't other options. GNC had its day about 15 years ago and hope that one day they find their direction again. Since I can't review Vitamin Shoppe as a whole, I have to direct it solely to this one store. They have a high turn around of employees and management at this store. I've spoke to the DM numerous times to bring light to the way it was being run. A store is only as good as the people you employ. I truly want them to to be the knowledge worker on the product and supplements that they carry. Most times however, I have found they are not, and stare at you confused regarding the question you're asking. Hopefully they can turn the ship around. The products are the products... I think everyone knows by now what they carry. I mostly go there for vits and supps, protein and meal replacements. ~ read more

Order what you need from an online retailer for 1/2 the cost and none of the headache. I've shopped here for 5 years, and the front desk transaction is consistently slow/cumbersome - even when you know exactly what you want, go straight to the aisle and want to just pay quickly. The Healthy Rewards program is laughable. All I've ever heard is that there are "no points" available. Zero incentive, not a user-friendly retailer. read more

I'm a customer no longer. Beware of the 30-day return policy which states customers may return opened and unopened products to a retail store. If you do, it may get you accused of fraud and referred to loss prevention! The return policy sounds great and as an online shopper I look for stores with friendly return policies which allow customers to make exchanges/returns to local retail locations. Today I returned approximately $200 worth of products I purchased online because I got a better price at a subsequent online sale. With the exception of two boxes of chocolate protein bars which I'd opened and found had melted during shipment, all other items were new and unopened. All items were also recently purchased in the past week or two (well within the 30 days of the return policy). I also had the original invoice/receipt for the purchase. The store employees and manager made it clear that my returns were a problem and my account would be flagged, loss prevention would be involved, and I would be asked to no longer shop at Vitamin Shoppe. I felt accused of being a criminal for making returns in compliance with the stated return policy. This is no way to treat customers. In my opinion the return policy is false and disingenuous. read more

I love this vitamin shoppe. Every time I go in they are always there to help me. The employees really are very very helpful in knowing their products it's"s a real joy talking to them.
