This is a lonely Vitamin Shoppe that has a very COOL owner! The good points to this location are: -In a huge shopping center, but away from all the madness. -Has plenty of parking in front of the store. -Clean and has a wide range of items. -COOLEST owner! He helped me and took care of me with some coupons. Only negative- this location is short staffed (for now). So the hours of operation is not what Yelp has listed. Nonetheless, this is an easy fix and hopefully good help comes this way. TIP- Call and see what their hours are before coming in. read more

Where to start? How about why I went there in the first place. BOGO sale is when I restock on protein so I looked online for Truvani PB flavor. North Bergen store claimed online had 3 in stock. I called twice to confirm before making the 7 mile trip and got no answer. Still went with it any way as there were 3. Maybe they were busy.. OK. I walk into the store and the employee had her arm resting on the counter head in hand, turned away from the door filling a BOPUS order on the ipad (I'm giving the benefit of the doubt). The door beeps when you walk in btw. We walk past her without her picking her head up and as we're halfway to the back she awakens from her slumber and asks "if we need help finding anything", not a hello or here are today's specials. I said no and walked straight to the section for Truvani. Of course, not a single PB Truvani was there, just 3 matchas. Inventory issue BIG time. I went back to the front and mentioned that I DID need help finding the 3 that were seen in inventory online. She walked to the back and looked blankly at the same section and said "we're out". OBVIOUSLY. She checks the back, nothing. Comes back and asks me if I'm sure that I'm in right store. I showed her my phone and said "this is north Bergen store, 88th st, correct?" Her reply, "well we must be out" This made me laugh as I've been a VS customer for 15 years and I am also a FORMER EMPLOYEE in Paramus. She did not recommend an alternative while there although she did ask if she could check another store. Obviously I had already done that and tried calling ahead to make sure this wasn't a waste of a trip, which I exclaimed out loud "what a waste, came out here for nothing" and she just walked away saying nothing LOL. Again, didn't recommend an alternative, didn't mention the BOGO MAJOR sale, or have energy to care in ANY way. But here's the BEST PART. I have exceptional hearing. She walked back to the front, and said to her coworker "what a whiny bitch". LOL This clown shoe has the nerve to not do her job in any capacity outside of half assed, try to condescend me and then insult me to boot. Vitamin Shoppe, you have to be ashamed of this experience. I will be sharing this anywhere I can. This was Saturday 2/22/25 around 2-230 pm. Call me a bitch, I'm going to snitch. Would post ZERO stars if I could. read more

The knowledge the employees have about each product is incredible. I have a tendency of researching online for product(s) review, prior to purchasing. I like to check what's the best in the market based on other people's experience, and I must say for all the years I have been coming to this location 90% of the products they recommend, the reviews for those products online and (Not just on the Vitamin Shoppe Website, so many others, such as Amazon, YouTube, Bodybuilding etc.) the reviews are impeccable! I usto prefer GNC over Vitamin Shoppe, but it's the overall customer service and knowledge that drew me and kept me loyal Vitamin Shoppe customer. I must admit, I walk in there some days and I do occasionally (rarely) get 2 employees not concerned about anything else but talking and laughing, I am glad they enjoy themselves, but dam, PAY ATTENTION WHEN SOMEONE WALKS IN........ But, again that's occasionally and that's why it's a 4 star rating. read more

I shop at this location all the time. All depends on the promotions they run. I never had a bad experience here at this location. The staff is friendly and know there stuff. Confused how they got low ratings!!! I love this spot just because of the service they provide. This spot gets busy at times so yeah you have to wait on line like all shopping places!!! This is a review of the corporate web site, located in North Bergen NJ. The web site said all of the items on my order were available, but the order came with an item back-ordered. The web site continued to say the product was available AND each time I called, they said they expected the product to be available 7 days from the day I called. A perpetual 7 day availability? Like the sign in the bar "free beer tomorrow", that is just purely customer hostile. Rather than reward them for this shady behavior, I'm (attempting to) return the whole order. It took a rather long time (10 minutes) for me to wait on the phone while the CSR fiddled with the computer to set-up the return. UPS is supposed to come and pick-up the box. I'd rather have had them send me a label and let me drop it at the UPS store, or toss it at my friendly UPS driver. read more

I have been buying my supplements here for almost a year as I move to a neighboring town. Due to covid, I have been placing my order online for pick up instead. 1st time: I ordered online for pick up. 2 days later I did not receive a confirmation email. I called and was put on hold, so I decided to go to the store. Manager advised me that the one of the items was not in stock and was waiting for their weekly deliveries to arrive (why does the website states in stock and allow me to purchase?). 2 hrs later I got an email to pick up the items I ordered. 2nd time: ordered online, received an email that items I purchased were available for pick up. Went to the store and couldn't find my order and was forced to come back the next day. 3rd time: (last week) I placed an order online. 2 days later my order was cancelled due to ALL my items I purchased was not available. Out of curiosity, I went to the store and found all the items I purchased online in stock. For that im going back to GNC. read more

This place is conveniently located, plenty of parking but the staff are clueless and will sell you the bottoms of their shoes if you let them. Most of the products contain GMOs yet the staff will argue and tell you that there's nothing to worry about GMOs. Forget about being personable with these new and improved millennials, they'll short circuit anytime you make conversation that is not a text message. You get what you pay for I guess. Think I'll go to the vitamin shoppe on route 3 from now on. read more

I ordered hours before the same day shipping deadline. I decided to try this site because it was the same price as the one I have ordered from before which is unusual. I have been using the product for me as well as my ill cat with renal failure and IBD. Assuming they were shipping it right away as proclaimed by their site, I expected it in the max 4-6 days later which was also mentioned in the ordering process. I received it 11, yes 11 days later, and my cat died in the meantime....so to get it so late and the emotions associated with the shipment I am justifiably upset. The packaging was inferior to Vitacost, and I received Vitacost''s order about 3 days after the order, packaged in bubble wrap vs Vitamin Shoppe's tons of popcorn 11 days later. Placed an online order, they said shipping via UPS so I provided my street address in top line and mailing address in next line. Then they sent it out via USPS and left out my postal address (the USPS does not deliver to my home as I am on a non-county maintained dirt road) so I wont get the product and the bea-ach at customer service said it was my fault for providing two addresses, even though their software allows for such. I will NEVER order anything from them again! now i have to wait two weeks for my product, and I cant afford to go buy it elsewhere ( it is my meals for the month) read more

I ordered a juicer, it came quickly and fortunately in good condition, by chance: the box was barely sealed up and falling apart, and they threw in some peanut foam that doesn't biodegrade -- if for that reason alone I would order elsewhere. read more

I received an email offer for $10 off on the Vitamin Shoppe (VS) website. I received the email as a result of registering myself at a local VS store. I placed an order for a supplement I was running out of, but didn't receive my order. The order status remained open, so I contacted them and a rep cancelled and resubmitted a new order adding 2 day shipping. Days later I got an email indicating that my address could not be verified. I called customer service and was transferred to a special department that dealt with address issues. It sounded absurd. I've lived at the same address for 26 years and receive packages regularly and have never had an issue. I was told that for some unknown reason a hold was placed on the order, but a supervisor removed it and the order was to be shipped immediately. Days past, so I faxed a letter to the corporate office and emailed it to customer service. I received an autoreply stating I'd hear back in 24 hours. Days passed so I called the corporate office and was finally told that the Vitamin Shoppe blacklists certain zip codes because of fraudulent activity in those regions. My zip code (33156) is comprised of two of the wealthiest cities in the country; Pinecrest and Coral Gables. She stated she was sorry, but that's their policy and she cannot make an exception. It's totally unacceptable that despite profiling my zip code and making a business decision to blacklist those within it, they actively solicited my business, while being in possession of my customer details, with no intention of fulfilling any orders. Additionally, they negligently collected confidential payment details multiple times and continued to engage/reengage me for over 3 weeks forgoing numerous opportunities to reject my order. In good faith, I willingly provided payment to the Vitamin Shoppe for twice the quantity I usually buy, which obviated the option of purchasing the supplement elsewhere believing the supplement was forthcoming. My family and I are just getting into the whole supplement thing and will hopefully have better experiences at GNC. read more
