I'm a distance runner and eat a lot of bars before and after runs to stay healthy, energized, and recovered from workouts. This store always has a great selection or protein bars and many on sale. With GNC clearance sale items, you don't have to worry about the dates if you plan to eat the bars (or use the items) soon. The clearance sticker has the item's best by date on it, and it's always a few months out- and my protein bars never last that long. The staff members are nice enough and always greet you when you walk in and ask if you need any help. If I'm in the mall to shop for something specific or just browse, I always stop in.

I train for longer distances (half marathons), and have increased my running mileage, so I like to make sure I get enough protein to support my recovery. There's always a great selection of protein bars and usually a Buy 3 Get 1 free sale. It makes 12 Quest bars about the same price as a box of 12 (of the same flavor), so you can mix and match. If you're looking for a deal, check out the area near the register because sometimes you can find products that are marked down. The products are usually not close to expiring, but GNC has regulations on how long they can sit on the shelf. Today I snagged a Smores Quest bar for half off, and it doesn't expire until December.
