On the day of my…read morephoto shoot, I was welcomed with a high quality gift set or "swag bag" that included a few treats and goodies on behalf of the company, my favorite snacks/drinks and a playlist of my favorite tunes to set the mood. I was asked (not only prior) but during the shoot my degree of comfortability with everything from the temperature to the location of the shoot and everything in between. The hair and MUA (make up artist) was also extremely clean and professional, being sure to ask me what type of skin I categorize under (oily, dry to oily, etc) and made sure to use the products accordingly which I appreciated, having sensitive skin. I also have hair extensions and she was very careful in her styling tools and products and created a stunning yet subtle glam look that coordinated perfectly with the looks/outfits I brought in and the location of our shoot. The photographer was also extrememly credible in having the "eye" for poses, angles and all around professionalism for the art. He was really helpful with physically showing me how to pose, arch, twist and turn versus simple vocal demands and never fell short on reminding how great of a job I was doing despite being nervous and self critical. I was treated with respect, honor and like a celebrity. I would highly reccomend Javier Omar Photography for really any occasion needing photography but most certainly boudoir and would be willing to bet my money that you will not have another experience that comes even close to the expererience you would have with this company. I recently lost 40 lbs and wanted to feel reinvented, do something sexy, feel alive! I did some research and managed to find a couple of Groupon options. Everyone's work seemed played out and/or mundane. The typical pin-up style boudoir where the women attempts to be sexy while pumping gas in bright red lipstick and a bandana. Are guys really into that? Anyways, I quickly moved on to the next photographer on the list and immediately, I hit gold! Catherine Cooper's images more than peaked my interest. Her pictures told a story--as if you were watching a thriller with a crazy plot twist, and you're dying to know how it ended. I was so enthralled with her website and photos, I quickly scheduled a consultation with her. Cathy's punctuality and professionalism is what prompted me to schedule a photography session. She was so down to earth, pleasant, and impressively organized. She walked me step by step on how to prepare for my session as well as what clothes and hairstyles would work best for me. She wasn't pushy when it came to purchasing photo package upgrades and she didn't treat me like I was "just another client." She personalized my photo session with concentration on certain parts of my body that I wanted to showcase more than others. There's no one size fits all with Mrs. Cooper--every clients gets EXACTLY what they want... AND MORE! She provided makeup and hair services, as well as some light snacks during the session. After initially leaving a raving review she did not send me the picture she's stated she would send (in email). She also emailed my friend (whom gifted me the shoot). That she was requiring a $1000 by a set deadline before she would even edit my photos. I've never felt so judged in my life. This was not a "requirement" that was stated in the initial consultation with my friend prior to the shoot. I was not about to spend $1000 on pictures I had not seen. I am aware of the time Photography takes and how expensive it can be. This was not my issue at all. I do have a job and I do splurge on myself. One question she asked prior to my leaving is what were some initial fears I had. I mentioned to her that I am also a photographer (not professionally) and I am VERY PICKY about photography and I initially had a difficult time releasing all control to her. If you choose to use her be sure you are clear on ALL of the requirements. There are several Boudoir Photographers in this area. Do your research prior. I will be taking my money elsewhere.

Chloe's message of woman empowerment caught my attention and I wanted to capture a moment in my life where I was beginning to feel empowered but also to capture myself before changes happened with my health declining. I went to my photoshoot and actually enjoyed myself, feeling a sense of confidence etc. Paid for my shoot and I guess my mistake was not tipping everyone in the room. I set my follow up to come in and select photos, I did request to update my appointment one time due to conflicts. However the day of the appointment that we agreed upon I reached out to Chloe to confirm and she provided a delayed response that was 30 min prior to my appointment saying that she was ill and needed to reschedule, she did not provide a new day or time or any options to reschedule as most professional entrepreneurs would do. I ended up reaching back out to her about rescheduling and did not get a response. Eventually she responded and was very rude and condescending, after phone calls and words exchanged she "fired me as a client". Chloe picked photos that she felt fit, most too dark, bad positioning, photo with my fingernail missing etc, and sent them to me by email. Chloe did everything in her power to ruin this experience and make me feel worthless which is the total opposite of empowerment. I did take her to court in which the judge didn't side with either of us. She made sure to play the victim card and that I was the aggressive angry black woman, typical, saying that during my shoot I was acting over the top and pushy. Woman empowerment= promoting woman's self-worth and confidence. Me having a little too much confidence for her liking resulted in me wasting money with her And not getting anything in return. 10/10 DON'T RECOMMEND
