What a fun experience!!…read more I've always wanted to make pasta but ok, how though. lol Francesco walked table to table in the cooking class area and showed us how to prepare the dough, put it into the pasta sheeter and prepare each type of pasta we prefer to make. Naturally, I picked the large triangle one (i had too much (not enough?) wine so I can't recall the name) but it has tasty cheese in it so I busted out the lactose pills later. Well, the experience was fun, jokes and shenanigans galore in our party of 5 as we made the dough, cut and shaped it and in my case, filled it. When we were done, Francesco collected what we made, cooked it for us, added our desired sauce and voila! It arrived at our table in our own private room. The picture uploads are kinda out of order. Wine is first, dough in the bowl, dough in a sheet, dough cut and filled and cooked pesto dish. That wine was delicious btw. I wish I got our servers name so I could give her a shout out.

The class starts by getting seared and picking your drink, so I chose a mocktail, which was refreshing. Then we wash our hands and then we knead our dough. Then the teacher demonstrates how to shape your pasta! After that, you get some focaccia to munch on while they prepare your pasta with the sauce you chose. At the end of your meal, you get some tiramisu! It's a fun date night, if you want something a bit different!

The wines are exceptional, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming, and the atmosphere is genuinely family-friendly. The property itself is absolutely stunning, making it the perfect place to spend an afternoon. I also love that they have a café, a pizza vendor, and live music, all of which elevate the overall experience and create a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. One of my favorite wines is the La Dame Blanche, a beautiful Grenache Blanc with notes of citrus, white peach, and toasted almonds. It's crisp, refreshing, and incredibly well-balanced. Domaine Artefact has quickly become one of my go-to wineries. Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or just looking for a beautiful place to unwind with friends and family, I highly recommend paying them a visit.

We watched Under the Tuscan Sun and it gave us all the feels. We will definitely be back to do a proper tasting and check out the estate and cafe once it's fully open. Pro-Tip: They have a pizza vendor on site, but they ran out by the time we got there at 6:00 PM. Definitely get there earlier and order sooner rather than later!

What was once just a cool little cooking show…read moreon obscure Channel 4 has mushroomed this Canadian transplant-Sam Zien-into an uber-celebrity and "foodie" authority figure. I follow him on Facebook and appreciate that he doesn't Spam his followers like other celebrities are wont to do. Sam the Cooking Guy genuinely appreciate his fans and tells them so! Now all over the airwaves in a Cox Cable commercial, taking over Costco with various book signings, appearing on morning radio shows or doing cooking segments on TV shows-Sam the Cooking Guy is the man! Don't forget his kitschy little cooking show! It's also nice that he is a friendly and unassuming and makes cooking and BBQ-ing look so easy and painless. When you watch his cable channel show, it looks like Sam just opens his frig and throws together whatever is handy. Sam the Cooking Guy DEMYSTIFIES the fine art of cooking. He also does that in the classes he teaches at SD Kitchen & Bath. These "Not-in-the-red" Kitchen Classes feature: * holiday appetizers & drinks- nov. 19 * just things i like- oct. 15 and some other classes that have recently concluded such as BBQ kinda stuff, summer food, birthday menu, and Cinco de Mayo. Rest assured, they all end up selling out because these classes & Special Events are like watching the TV cooking show - but you get to eat and drink everything Sam makes. There's cocktails, tons of food, tons of fun and you'll learn a bunch of important (and unimportant) stuff. Me and my pal are going to take the holiday one to get us into that celebratory end-of-the-year spirit, As Sam likes to say: He is just an everyday guy -(with 12 Emmy's) who has "found a way to make cooking casually understandable. With no fancy equipment and by speaking English instead of 'chef-speak," Sam is a sort of "everyman of television cooking." A 5 STAR YELP Everyman!
