I don't have enough good things to say about Chef Teri! I contacted her to inquire about doing a…read moreteam event with my direct reports, and she came to my house to do a cooking lesson with 7 of us. Everyone had the best time, and the food was incredible. Chef Teri was super responsive from my first email, and she made the booking process easy. I had my team peruse sample menus on the Eatsies site, and we landed on grilled flatbreads with homemade ricotta and strawberry napoleon. The grilled flatbreads can be done with figs, but they weren't in season, so Chef Teri instead showed us how to make the delicious Piatti's garlic dip. Chef arrived with everything we needed (all ingredients as well as equipment). She started off the class by showing us some basic knife skills, and she shared good stories, tips, and tricks throughout the entire lesson. She was great about ensuring each of us got to try out every step so that we would really learn how to make each recipe. The combo of the grilled flatbread with the homemade ricotta (SO good!) and the garlic dip (almost like a chimichurri) was scrumptious! The strawberry napoleon was fun to assemble, beautiful, and delicious. That vanilla lemon whipped cream was *chef's kiss! We all got to enjoy the fruits of our labor right then, and we had some leftovers to send home with people. I think each of us have already made at least one of the recipes again already. The garlic dip is also an excellent marinade on any kind of meat. The entire experience was just perfect. Teri is incredibly fun and engaging, she makes recipes and techniques easy to understand and execute on, and the final product was so good. We will absolutely do more with Chef Teri in the future, and I would recommend Eatsies to everyone!

My wife's birthday and she wanted to do something a little different. Came up with the idea to come…read morehere and take a little cooking class. We both love pasta so why not? So at 100% my fault I didnt anticipate how bad parking would be so I arrived pretty late. Everyone was already getting their dough ready when I arrived, and after a while the instructor came over to let us know what to do. He asked if we had ever made pasta, my wife said she had tried but not successfully, the instructor asked what happened she said it just didn't turn out right and the instructor kept trying to figure out where it went wrong. The instructor came off very cold, and the questioning felt more like an interrogation than friendly advice, I could see my wife was getting uncomfortable so I interjected that I had never made pasta. Without looking at me he quietly stated to my wife that she would be in charge of the table and he walked off. I really thought this would be a little more fun, and interactive but for the most part we were kind of left on our own and the instructor came by to give instruction very coldly. Once we finished with our pasta the young lady assisting came out and took our pastas to boil and we sat. The pasta was nothing special, didn't really inspire me to want to try and make some at home. Some bites were hard, like it could've stood a few more minutes in the water. Also both of our dishes had pesto stains on them Overall not as fun as it sounded, instructor left a lot of opportunity on the table to make this more fun. He was very cold with his instruction. The young lady assistant was very friendly.

The red sauce that came with our ravioli was bitter, highly acidic, and had noticeable burned bits in it. It was reminiscent of a cheap jar of marinara that had been left on the stove for vastly too long. This left our handmade ravioli a great disappointment after we spent all the effort making it and getting excited to eat it. The dessert was some kind of trifle, but with only a thin layer of either chocolate or granola depending on the cup. This was ruined by strange textured lumps inside of the creme that seemed to be curdled creme. Also, despite one being called chocolate and one being "almond" they both just were cups of flavorless creme. The whole restaurant was also extremely dirty. The cooking stations for the classes were still covered in dough from the previous classes. The instructor kept coughing in his hand then immediately touching the participant's pasta. We watched them "clean" our stations after we were done, and they just wiped them with a dry cloth and called it a day, not one of the pasta rollers was wiped down. We could also see into the kitchen and could see that there was no regard for organization or cleanliness. Trash bags, toilet paper, and other non kitchen related goods were immediately next to food prep stations, or directly on prep counters. Some of the pasta cutting materials were just placed on cardboard boxes and seemed to be used and put right back without washing. Now I'm disappointed, down 160 bucks, and my stomach hurts from that burnt sauce. Go elsewhere.

I had one Zoom call with Francesco prior to the event, and he assured me that it would be a unique, dynamic experience and that everything would go well. He is such a warm and welcoming person and I completely trusted him-- which I'm glad I did. The event was chaotic due to the number of people, but they handled it with grace and made everything fun. We had applause break out a few times-- when does that happen with adults? Not often. But they really liked making pasta and I was here for it. Because we had the event outside at Coastal Roots Farm in January, it was a bit chilly. But both Julia at the farm and the whole Cucina Migrante team pivoted well and made the best of the whole experience. I really liked that this felt like an experience and not a class. It felt fun and not forced. AND it was delicious. I think that's what you can expect from this company, so I highly recommend them.

Ann Wigmore 'The Conscious Cook' is a wonderful establishment where they offer live cooking classes that not only educates you about eating healthy, but also introduces you to a whole new world of foods. I attended a Vegan meetup here and was introduced to a live demo of 'Plant Based Nutrition for Cancer Prevention.' The owner, Sadie King and vegan chef and Health Coach, Landry Fuller prepared easy, flavorful dishes that were full of vitamins and antioxidants to keep your immune system strong and your body healthy. This was a great event to attend for those who want to try and change their diet and improve their health. We learned how cancer can be prevented by making smarter food choices including nutrient-rich fruits, vegetables, fiber, herbs and spices. 'The Conscious Cook' also offers an array of classes from all types of ethnic cuisine to themed dessert classes. It's also a fun way to bring a group of friends to and participate in. You don't even have to be a vegan and/or vegetarian to enjoy these dishes. Just have an open mind. :) Check out their website for healthy plant-based cooking classes, health and wellness coaching for individual clients and groups who are seeking healthier eating and more balanced lifestyles, monthly programs as well as talks, workshops and cooking classes. They even sell products such as the Saladmaster, which has been shown to be the best method for cooking. Here's more information: http://conscious-cook.com/saladmaster/ You are what you eat.
