We found The Warehouse and it looked to be like a Walmart or Target. They have gift card options in values of $25, $50, and $100. So, we bought a couple of Warehouse gift cards and requested them to be delivered to our family in Mt. Albert. They received the gift cards the next day and were very delighted! Although I've never been to The Warehouse yet.. their customer service is definitely top notch if they're able to deliver their products sooner than scheduled. They also enclosed it in a gift envelope which had our personalized message on it.

They do have a decent-sized beauty section here though, where you can get the more mainstream products at reasonable prices - so if you're ever in town an need an emergency hair tie or moisturiser, definitely head to Farmers rather than a pharmacy, as the prices are bound to be better. The men's and women's clothing sections are pitiful at this branch though, so I wouldn't even bother. The best Farmers for clothes are Botany or St Lukes. Don't bother either with the basement section of this Farmers either, it's an un-funky 'industrial' (read: we were too cheap to finish it properly) hell where tweeny clothes go to die.

This one was attached to a shopping mall, so ran like a department store, like a sears in the states . It was a smaller scale compared to the ones that used to be freestanding back home . As an American, Kmarts are almost all shuttered in the US. I've heard that Kmart in New Zealand and Australia are considered nice, in the way that Americans see Target as "nice." I'd say this target is maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of the size of a US Kmart. The main section seems to be for clothing, and then home decor items. I noticed there were quite a bit of items for social media, like ring lights and phone stands, and colourful strip lights. I noticed most of the items were house branded / generic items. I'm not familiar with the quality of these items but they were on pretty much everything. There isn't much of a snack section or toys or practical items for the home that I saw. With brands like Karen Walker, Lonely Hearts, Twenty Seven Names, and a whole lot more, it is so fun to shop in and even just window shop in. I love going here with my mum as she goes off to the women's section and I spend my time in the younger section. It's also great that town has somewhere that stocks all these great brands because I can just pop in on my lunch break rather than having to make a specific trip to Ponsonby or Newmarket. They also have just had a seriously good sale that actually had really reasonable prices. I'd shop here any day and pay the prices just because I know the clothes are really good quality and will last me a good few seasons.

Today I discovered they even stock that super cool label Wild Fox here. Lush. One day when I have heaps of money I'm gonna buy heaps of that and wear it to Coachella. I found the staff friendly and they put a clothing item I was wanting to try on in the changing room for me while I continued to browse. They stock labels like Federation and Wildfox that I haven't seen in many other stores around the city, so you know you're almost guaranteed to be the only person wearing anything you buy in here. It's by no means a cheap store but all of the clothes are really well made and they're really different to items you'd find in chain stores. The store itself has a whole warehouse vibe to it and is really spacious with exposed brick walls and concrete floors.
