Such a wonderful bed and breakfast- wish I could have stayed more than 2 nights. It is beautifully situated in the Burren & close to numerous sights, but it is out of the way and you will need a car to get there. So glad we did!
Firstly, it is situated on top of a spring, which actually runs through the lower level of the house, creating a small flowing spring house where you can get your (delicious) drinking water. I thought that was so cool. The owners were great. The whole place has been decorated in a very atmospheric way. There are several common areas which are decorated in a cozy early modern style (maybe would call it William and Mary, or medieval) with heavy dark woods. Fires were burning in the fireplaces. The breakfast was excellent. The room itself was great, with a spacious bathroom and lots of seating areas. It was very quiet except for an interlude where children were staying above us, but what can you do. Rates were reasonable. The bar is self-serve and you settle your tab upon checkout. The whole place just has a great feel & is such a unique setting to stay. And I still miss that spring water!! read more
