Being screamed at over the phone by staff because they are that incompetent to call in prescriptions to your pharmacy when they in fact did not. Then being yelled at for being irresponsible for waiting till your meds are gone because they are that irresponsible to book appointments prior to the time your subscriptions run out? Having your credit card thrown back at you when making payments instead of being human and handing it to you? And the doctors KNOW their office staff sucks yet does nothing about it. Very rude group of people here. I wonder if that is in their hiring process to be as rude as possible in order to work reception. Doctors come and go, very high turn over rate hadn't had a dr for more than a year before they left the practice (must be terrible to work here). Long waits, they forget to call you if they need to reschedule your apt and they also don't return your call when you need a refill, called last week and still haven't received a call. When you have mental health issues you don't need a staff that is completely rude and hangs up on you when you try to make appointments just because you have a balance from the last appointment. They hung up on us twice, then the last time put us on hold until the office closed so we couldn't get back through if we hung up. We waited one month for an appointment that got cancelled 2 days before it was to take place by a rude assistant that wouldn't answer my question why? Instead she set us up for another appointment another month later. I am really upset that my pediatrician would recommend this group, especially that we were in desperate need of help. 4 to 6 week wait not great if therapy is needed right away in most cases is needed sooner. I was told I would get a call back came 2 days later to schedule appointment as I was looking for information to give front office woman got frustrated and hung up. I saw this group for years as a kid and they are just as bad as everyone says. They don't truly cate about patients, they just look for whatever excuses tjey can get to pump as many drugs into you as possible. Eventually came to my senses as an adult and decided to finally leave this group for good, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. read more

I went to the Waynik group for an aftercare appointment. I had been working with a therapist (a social worker) for YEARS prior which I am still seeing. WONDERFUL therapist but he cannot prescribe meds. I fled an abusive husband 3 years ago which my therapist helped convince me to do. My husband was physically, mentally, and sexually abusive. I avoided a divorce AND HIM for 3 years. Last December (as close to Xmas as he COULD), he found out where I was living and served me. A divorce was always something I WANTED but was terrified of seeing him. I had been doing very WELL for the past 3 years; keeping up with my therapy, and getting a new job in CT where I fled to teaching. I also met a WONDERFUL significant other who is kind and sensitive to my past even though I wasn't looking. When I was served the divorce papers last Dec. I lost my wits. It triggered a WHOLE bunch of memories, and needless to say I had a nervous breakdown. I ended up hospitalized. Alcohol is NOT something I partake in often but it WAS something I OVERLY partook in when I had my break down. I ended up hospitalized. The HOSPITAL was a nice place, and people were kind. THEY set up my appointment with the Waynik group to monitor my meds. They just chose out of the blue because it was in my area. If they had KNOWN how awful these people were, I DOUBT they would've chosen them. When I showed up for my appointment, ALL the psychiatrist DID was focus on the alcohol. He was very domineering. He was very cold when he asked me painful questions, and I reacted by crying. I decided half way through that I was very uncomfortable, and that this doctor wasn't for me. I thanked him for his time, and walked out, letting him KNOW that while continuing my counseling end of therapy with my original therapist would continue, I wanted to find a different person to monitor my meds; it just wasn't a good match. I left thinking nothing of it and set out to go out to lunch with my boyfriend, planning on making some phone calls that afternoon to see if I could find a doctor more sensitive and LESS fixated on my heavy drinking that ONE TIME. Half way to the restaurant, we get a call from the POLICE!!!! The psychiatrist had sent them after me claiming I was falling all over myself drunk. I was a danger to myself and others. I was forced to go back, and be taken to a hospital for re-evaluation. I was SHOCKED!! I had NO booze in my system PLUS I thought once a patient was DISCHARGED from a mental health facility, they were free to CHOOSE who would and would not handle their aftercare. I was terrified, traumatized, and felt like a criminal. I already have PTSD....diagnosed by my therapist I've been seeing since 2011. THIS aggitated my illness greatly, and left me more susceptable to having another breakdown. When I was forced to the ER, they found NOTHING other than an anxiety disorder....PTSD. The doctor evaluating whether or not I should be released......which I WAS and all the terrible things the doctor from the Waynik group said was overturned......said to stay CLEAR of the waynik Group. They had nothing BUT a bad reputation. My thoughts exactly!! I found a wonderful person not to prescribe my meds whom I am very happy and comfortable with who doesn't accuse me of being a drunk, or send the police after me if I cry in her office!!! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Daughter used to be a patient, but since she now has Husky as a secondary insurance - the doctors decided they will not treat her. My daughter has Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as her primary. It is amazing that they are still open. Picking and choosing which patients they will take. I spoke with the billing department and they said even though she has regular insurance as a primary, they do not want any patient that is on Husky. I told them she would pay the copay. Did not want to even hear it. I guess our money is not good in their office. I would suggest that everyone find a more caring and compassionate group to help you. I am going to make it my business to tell everyone I know about how they stigmatize people that may have been down on their luck at one time and had to depend on some state assistance. Horrible my first visit felt more like an interrogation rather than a consultation, The doctor was very cold and abrupt and made me feel like an idiot when I didn't know every little detail about my medical back ground and medication also he acted as if i was some sort of drug addict bc of the combo of meds I'm on( Like I'm a doctor and should know better or something) no doctor has ever made me feel worse leaving than coming in. He clearly has no experience dealing with people who have symptoms of depression and anxiety. I went in in a good mood and left a miserable depressed anxious mess barely able to drive. read more

This place is atrocious. It's taken me two months to try to get an appointment and I still haven't made it there. The first appointment was a nightmare to make because of the front desk staff--I got transferred and hung up on, spoken to rudely, told they'd call me back (they never did), you name it. After finally making an appointment, they canceled it on me the day before and I had to reschedule for over a month later. When I rescheduled they gave me the option of which office to go to and I triple checked with them which one mine was at. Sure enough, I show up to my appointment and they tell me I'm at the wrong office. Now I have to wait almost another month. I'm frustrated to the point of tears and the incompetence of the people at this group is unreal. read more

I'm surprised by these negative reviews! I was impressed with this practice and I did NOT get the feeling that this was a "pill mill" and actually just the opposite. I don't know why there are so many negative reviews; perhaps these patients saw a different doctor? I can only speak about my experience with Dr. Schneider but, so far, I'm very happy. Absolutely horrible. I was a patient here for three years and tried to see past the rude receptionists and super-rushed appointments. I never saw the doctor for more than 5-10 minutes. I was screamed at over the phone by one of the receptionists after stressing the fact that I couldn't wait three months for an appointment, and decided never to step foot in that office again. This practice deserves ZERO stars, they are the worst. The staff is completely rude, nasty, and they don't care. The women they have answering the phone need to take a course in customer service, and learn how to speak to people. Dr. Schneider is completely useless, I have to call him four times for him to refill my prescription when I'm completely out. He doesn't care when you have absolutely no medication left or not. It's not hard for him to submit a script on the computer and the nasty women who work in the office say it takes 24 hours. It takes two seconds to submit a script he already has on his computer but that's obviously too hard for him. As a doctor he knows someone can not just stop taking a medication because they will get very sick, but he obviously doesn't care. I've had to go to the pharmacy numerous times and beg for them to give me a few of my antidepressants to last me until my appointment with him because he doesn't care and can't be bothered. This is completely unacceptable and it's unethical. This whole group should be reported for their ill practices and blatant disregard for the well being of their patients. I will be finding a new psychiatrist ASAP because I'm done with this incompetent office and the even more incompetent Dr. Schneider. read more

Was a patient here, very unwilling to work with their patients if problems came up or if you had an irregular situation. I'd say it's the opposite of a "pill mill" as they are very picky about refilling/writing prescriptions, even if I had been prescribed it for years now from my primary care doctor. Doctors/RN's here are friendly but not very personable. The office staff are among the rudest people I have ever come across. I also made appointments, showed up right on time if not early, and always waited anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, every time. read more

I completely agree with the other posts about the Waynik Group. I went to the Trumbull office and met with an APRN, Teegan Oliveri. She was literally the worst medical professional I have ever met. She did not have an ounce of compassion and I literally felt like I was talking to a robot. She sat at her computer, barely looked at me, and asked me rapid fire questions about my history. It felt more like a police interrogation than a visit with a mental health professional. I felt worse when I left. If these people think they are helping others they are sadly mistaken. read more

This place is a joke! I was taken out of work 4/22,the Dr I saw could have cared less about filling out the paperwork for Short term disability despite countless faxes from the insurance company.When it was finally filled out it was illegable(even to the office staff).Again more forms faxed yet this time he decides to cross out questions instead of answering them.I went back to work today and wont be getting a check Friday( I get paid every two weeks).So from 4/22 until today still no response!! Give them your copay and thats all they care about.Disgusting excuse for a mental health group. read more

Won't be returning here. I agree with everything that everyone else has written regarding appointment times. I even scheduled an appointment first thing in the morning thinking that would cure the problem and somehow they can't even meet that timeline. The doctor that I also met with was not helpful and has been overcharging me and my insurance company. read more
