I asked him to make 1 (one) phone call prior to us meeting. I offered to go ahead and pay him part of the down payment agreement for the phone call. (Good faith) He said would make the call but did not want payment until we met in person. It's a good thing he did not take the $ because he did not do what he said he would. However, I did not find out from him the phone call was never made. I conveyed to his partner I'm sure there was reason for this. All I did was ask for better communication in writing to his partner I even defended him to a set of his previous disgruntled clients. When I explained my thoughts to his partner asking for better communication he did not act as a professional However, he did finally call only to inform me he could not be my attorney. I am so fortunate that I did not give him the 1st $2500.00 of the $5000.00 he was charging. I don't think it's much to ask a "professional" to communicate. After all the previous clients I defended him to stated he is not good at communicating. Unfortunately they were correct. Even though he wasted 24 hrs of my time I am glad this happened.
