I have no idea why; but not wanting to violate protocol, I didn't take any either. My two oldest grandsons were in the play and I wasn't about to miss it . The interior of this church is quite beautiful. I expected that. The play was a typical Christmas Play featuring children from kindergarten to about grade six. The play went pretty smoothly with just the usual activity associated with kids this age. ie: having trouble standing still, talking a small amount, not keeping hands to themselves. The people who are obviously members here were very friendly and on several occasions gave nice welcomes. The regular parishioners are just plain old good country folks that know how to welcome visitors.

Would have preferred being here under different circumstances but had to attend a funeral here this…read moreafternoon. It's a beautiful church with a modern twist on a traditional Southern Church. The Minister was very friendly and personable and gave a fitting tribute to my cousin. They kept the service focused on the family and most of the tributes came from family members with remembrances of fun days past. One high point is the Pianist. I have heard numerous pianist over the years and she was one of the best. Here rendition of How Great Thou Art with transitions between major and minor keys was outstanding. If she ever gives an outside Performance, I would love to attend. That said, it's a good Church with a very caring Congregation which is what the family needed most at this time.

I have in the past attended some services and felt very comfortable while doing so. This church is only one of the sixty plus churches that are in accordance with the Broad River Baptist Association which is in accordance with the Southern Baptist Convention. They are many and strong as an alliance! This denomination of churches are in accordance with their understanding of the Holy Bible's teachings. Similarly, the music and services opportunities are almost identical! This is a Cherokee County Treasure and an important part of local history!
