I'm so grateful to Dr. Kim for treating my Boston Terrier in August and September 2020 when he was…read morein severe pain. He hurt himself while playing with his buddy. He was able to walk and move around on his own but it was visibly painful for him to do so. He was unable to jump and he refused to play or go for walks. All he wanted to do was sleep. Going potty even seemed like a chore for him because walking was painful. My boy left his first visit with Dr. Kim being able to walk without pain. He jumped into my small SUV before I could bend down to pick him up following his second visit with her. The third visit was a turning point because he jumped off of her treatment table for the 1st time and acted like he had never been injured. Dr. Kim told us to rest him in his crate after this particular appointment because he felt so good after his 1st 2 appointments that he did too much and ended up in pain again. When we let him out of his crate after his rest period, he started playing, running, jumping and acting like his normal rambunctious self. He never slipped back into pain again but he saw Dr. Kim a couple more times just for good measure because we were moving out of state. Dr. Kim is THE BEST canine chiropractor that I've ever known. She's extremely gentle and her treatments are effective and efficient. I love that her previous background in therapeutic bodywork carried over into her practice because my boy got way more than just a chiropractic adjustment. Dr. Kim doesn't just " treat 'em and street 'em."She educates you about what she's doing and includes you in the treatment process. She actually took the time to teach me things that I could do with my boy at home to promote his healing and strengthening. She found the root cause of my boy's pain and was able to treat/fix his problem. His symptoms completely disappeared once she fixed his problem (his sacrum was stuck). She's truly AMAZING and I haven't been able to find another doggie chiropractor like her. Dr. Kim also did a great job treating my husband and me for our aches and pains. I love that she can treat pets AND humans. She's one of a kind and I miss her.

Unfortunately when Leo turned for the worst I knew it was time to set up the appointment to say good bye to him, when I called the woman on the phone was so absurdly rude!! I asked if they offered it with along we cremation and the woman just says "yes". I asked how much and she seemed very annoyed her reply "idk it depends on the size of the dog" I told her he was 5lbs and she let out a sigh because she had to look it up. She gave me a price range. Then I asked if the cremation was done individually or in a group she told me it was in a group so I told her I'd give her a call back because I wanted to talk to my fiancé about if that's what we wanted to do with him. I then told the woman that we were already patients there and her whole attitude changed, her tone of voice got soft and was then apologetic. It rubbed me the wrong way so we took our Leo else where to say goodbye. The vet techs and the vet who did our acupuncture were always so kind but their receptionists always seemed annoyed to be there and after this experience over the phone I will no longer be recommending this vet. Leo really liked the vet techs, so unfortunate. Saying bye to a pet is not easy, especially to make the call to set up the appointment so you'd think they'd have SOME compassion for these situations. Very disappointed.

Well, great big bummer. Dr. Bittan has closed his office, another tragedy of the covid shutdown…read more He was the only vet Joey would tolerate, and the only one who could give him acupuncture. Sigh.

Seriously, all of the reviews for Dr. Bittan do not do him justice. He's a DVM that made the move…read moreover to a holistic practice. It's the best of both worlds because he comprehends the western and practices and treats with eastern medicine. My dog Ace was first diagnosed by his vet that he had been seeing for his first 10 years, since I adopted him at 3 months old. His health was great, no hiccups, only one small foxtail in the ear problem. Until his 15 yr old black lab cousin, Bella Dioji passed due to old age and then less than 8 months later, his Corgi/Chow sister passed due to stomach cancer. He had what we thought was a seizure after Bella's passing. Took him to the vet and they said, it was isolated so we just have to keep an eye on it. He then had one on the day we were to take Poochie in to put her to sleep. So we took him in to the vet, they ran bloodwork but didn't really think much of it and said they wanted to continue to watch him. Then he had on the next day and the next. Finally, after taking him in one last time, they suggested I take Ace to a neurologist. We had been seeing Dr. Bittan for Poochie's stomach cancer and decided to bring Ace in as well. He assessed him and asked that we see the neurologist as the other vet had recommended as well. Dr. Bittan directed us to the VCA Specialty Hospital in West Los Angeles. I made an appointment, took him in, they assessed him and immediately, the Neurologist said, she can't help him yet, he has a heart issue. 5 mins later, the Cardiologist came in and from there, it was a rollercoaster. They stabilized his condition then the syncopate episodes (which we originally thought were seizures) started happening again. Long story short, Ace had heart surgery, he did great for a week, then his kidneys began to fail due to the western medicine meds he needed to be on. A few days later, he was lethargic, ok, beyond, he was just laying on the floor, almost lifeless. He wasn't urinating or pooping and I decided to leave him overnight on an IV to see if he could flush the toxins out. Dr. Bittan had finally gotten the test results of the surgery and bloodwork and immediately had Max (his awesome assistant) call to tell me to bring him in. I was on the phone calling different places trying to find a vet that would put him to sleep at the beach, his favorite place. Dr. Bittan looked at him, studied his charts and asked me to commit 5 days to him to try to help Ace. I struggled with my decision, Ace was not Ace at the moment and I didn't want him to suffer. I decided to do let Dr. Bittan have his go at it. He gave Ace a shot, and about 8 different drops to give him every hour on the hour that night. I had to go to the post office so my roommate gave Ace is first dose in the car. By this time it had been at least 48 hours since he had pee'd. We arrived home an hour later and I had my roommate put him on the grass to see if he might want to try. He wobbled a bit, he was week, he hadn't been eating as well. Lo and behold, the little boy pee'd, he pee'd for what seemed to be a whole minute! That was the sign that he was fighting and he was going to be ok. Here I am now, writing this review, almost 7 months later, and the boy is alive and kicking AND happy. Our western medicine and eastern medicine docs communicate and work together to keep my boy as healthy as he can be. He has a couple of very serious conditions that have to be address from time to time but the combination of eastern and western meds have been phenomenal. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Bittan, you won't be sorry.

She was losing weight rapidly, her skin was bleeding, and she was going downhill. Dr. Magda is a miracle worker. When I got a puppy, I knew she had to be his vet, too! When my puppy was sick, Dr. Magda successfully cured an intestinal infection with Chinese herbs. We're also seeing Dr. Chau for our second dog, and she is incredible too! She is so intelligent and thoughtful. She even stayed after hours to give us advice and interpret labs for us. I've never had experience like this with another vet. Every single human being at this office is intelligent, caring, and just beyond empathetic. I couldn't recommend them enough. THANK YOU to all of you for doing what you do. You all are incredible!!

I established care with Holistika Veterinary Clinic in 2024 with one of my cats (I have two)…read more During my first visit I spent over $1,000 on consultation and services. Because of the cost, I needed some time before bringing my second cat in. During that time my second cat had a medical emergency -- a urinary blockage. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where the bill escalated quickly since everything was out of pocket. The emergency vet suggested that to save money, they could give me my cat's urine sample so my regular vet could run the lab tests instead of running them at the emergency hospital. I immediately called Holistika Vet because they were the only veterinarian I had an established relationship with. I was extremely distressed and crying because the emergency vet had told me there was a 50% chance my cat might not survive and that follow-up with my regular vet would be important. The receptionist told me it was their policy that they could not see my second cat because he had never been examined there before. I explained that I understood the policy but asked if they could at least run the urine tests (which I would pay for) to help us understand what caused the blockage. Unfortunately, I was told they could not do that either and that the tests would have to be done at the emergency hospital. The conversation felt very cold and unsympathetic during a moment that was extremely frightening for me as a pet owner. Fast forward to February 2026 -- I scheduled an appointment for both of my cats. A few days before the appointment I received an email canceling it, stating they would no longer see my pets because I had given attitude to the receptionist during the emergency call months earlier. I went in person to speak with management to explain the situation and my perspective. I was told they had no record of the conversation but were still refusing future care. For me, the most disappointing part of this experience was the lack of compassion during a very serious emergency and the refusal to even run a test that could have helped guide my cat's care. Thankfully, I have since found another holistic veterinarian in Glendale, California who has been incredibly supportive.
