I looked her up on the Georgia License check, none of what she has on her website shows she is licensed. Those reviews thats on Google about her being a scammed are not lies. ZERO STARS. I experienced the most appalling, negative and disrespectful interaction with this business owner. First, I booked a massage on class pass. I'm an innocent customer, looking for a massage. I received a confirmation through ClassPass. I called to confirm where to enter the business. The owner first began by recording the phone call which was a red flag. I explained I booked an appointment, etc. She proceeded to berate me about playing a joke on her and her business, being in business for 20 years, she didn't need an explanation of class pass. Here I am, drove over 40 mins to get here, for the owner to disrespect a potential customer, take out her frustration of life on a innocent person seeking a massage? Who hurt you? This business owner claims to be a person with a law degree and wants to take me to Court? Please do. For trying to patron her business? How about learning basic respect and class. Her car issues delayed my treatment by over a week and finally her car broke down and she offered a full refund for the remaining 4 services. My husband purchased a Groupon for two prenatal massages as a Mother's Day gift. I've been having significant back pain and swelling as I near full term. My first appointment, Tiana focused on my back for about 45 minutes, and then did some quick but thorough work on my feet. I left feeling better. My second appointment...it was a dream. Same issues, but I asked her to split the focus more evenly on my legs/feet and back. So she spent about 30 minutes on each side. The pressure was perfect, and she practically intuited exactly where I needed the help. It was literally probably the best massage I've ever had. I was so relaxed and felt so much better. My husband even noticed a change in my mood over the next day or so. Aside from the massages themselves, I've found Tiana to be professional, friendly, and kind. I had a somewhat difficult time scheduling my first appointment, but I believe this was due to her recent location move, and she's a one woman show and deserves a little grace. I bought an hour's worth of deep tissue massage on Groupon and unintentionally booked my deep tissue massage appointment with Tiana right after the 2016 elections. Boy, was it the best decision ever. After a night (or months?) of disillusionment, I hauled myself over to The Wellness Sanctuary after work. It was an interesting loft building to wander into. I entered a large, dimly lit studio that smelled calming. Reminds me of NYC studios in Brooklyn, very industrial but homey. Before the massage, Tiana asked me what to focus on. I told her my back because spending four years studying and hovering over books and papers + working a desk job + strenuous workouts = no bueno for back muscles. The massage: Tiana is deft with her hands and palms and spares no knot in your muscle. I asked her to just focus on the back, spine, neck, and shoulders and told her to dig deep. She's not afraid to knead deep, but wow, I felt rejuvenated after her massage. I've only had one other massage at a salon; it was more of a back rub and did not do anything for my back muscles. Tiana really unravels the tight, strained muscles in your back. After the massage, I felt like a new person. On the way home, I felt a warm, buzzing sensation around my neck and shoulder as if my blood circulation had unleashed. Note: Tiana is also a certified lymphatic massage therapist. RUN! I paid this woman in FULL for a package of 4 massages. Came in for 2/4 massages with no issues. She had an issue with my friend (which has nothing to do with me). My friend wanted to set up massages, we were maybe a week post op, when the messages are MOST important. She told my friend she couldn't do the massages on the dates requested because she'd be out of town. My friend attempted to pay for the ONE session. Tiana refuses the payment and began sending invoices for 175$ when the price of 4 massages would have been 200$. AGAIN, that had nothing to do with me. You received my money and then want to postpone MY services because of an issue that had nothing to do with me. Why would I postpone massages I need RIGHT NOW until you settle a dispute out of my control. VERY unprofessional. Can I just say: I have found my lifelong massage therapist. I didn't know what to expect. Spent months checking out Groupon's massage specials and decided on this one. I made my appointments online and received confirmations for both. Arrived at the location, which was in a loft setting. Was not the glitzy glamour of other places but I was very impressed with the setup and ambiance of the location. The aroma and music was a great touch. I was greeted by Tiana, the owner, with a hug and a smile. Very nice woman. I signed up for hot stone massage. After I explained what areas needed the myattention, Ms. Tiana started with a deep tissue massage in my neck, shoulders and entire back. And let me just say: for a woman of small stature, she has some strong but gentle hands. Tense muscles that would not relax were dissipating under the magic of her hands. Then she added the hot stones, which just put me over the edge. She had me turn over on my back where she deep tissue and hot stone massaged my shoulders and neck. She even did my ears. She did something to my arms that caused my finger muscles to jump. It's just too much for me to recant. I will be back at the beginning of December. Just looking at her bookings tells me she has a dedicated customer base and I'm her next permanent client. She will be on my schedule just as my hair dresser and nail tech, every 2-3 weeks. I've already told my friends and family that this will be their Xmas gift. What most impressed me is when I asked her about this being a job or a hobby, she said it's her baby for 13+ years. Good! Yes, do go! As a graduate student and a regular gym goer, I get stressed and have tight muscles. This massage definitely helped. Don't let the previous reviews taint your perception. So, I read the reviews prior to my appointment today and thought my experience would be (to some extent) similar to the reviews but this was not the case. When I arrived to the building, she buzzed me in on the first call. I went up to the second floor and knocked on loft door literally once and she answered within 10 seconds. I walked in and noticed it was a clean environment after having to use the restroom (even remotely dirty places are a pet peeve of mine) so I didn't have any complaints at that moment. I had a massage in my upper body and I literally have zero concerns with the way she gave my massage. The massage was a relaxing experience and as a graduate student, I could tell she was knowledgeable about what she was doing (mainly because her comments and explanations agreed with my chiropractor). So, overall I believe the massage session and professionalism demonstrated was good. I didn't give a 5 of 5 only because I believe someone had to go above and beyond which is very hard with a person like me. What a great find! Tiana was very warm and welcoming and took her time working out all the knots in my back. I first spotted this place while biking on the beltline and I'm really glad I gave it a try :) The prices are very reasonable and its conveniently located by the Telephone Factory Lofts. Parking is plentiful so that's no problem. My back and shoulders were so tense that the deep tissue was just what I needed. Tiana used all-natural coconut oil and applied the right amount of pressure to my knots. After 1 1/2 months, I'm finally hearing back from Tiana, and again, not in a professional manner. If you have any hesitation about your massage therapy needs, I highly recommend you check elsewhere first. The massage itself was not appropriate, thorough nor good, and all the other details (including an unclean space, dirty sheet (singular) and foam wedges, lack of decorum with regard to client privacy and modesty, loud music, bright lights, etc. (also partially described in other reviews) made the whole experience uncomfortable and disappointing. Tiana A.'s comment on your review: First, this review is completely false. Tanya was completely judgemental, controlling, aggressive and hard to please. We are certified Lymphedema Therapists and are HIGHLY qualified to conduct lymphatic treatments. However nothing we tried to do seemed to be enough for her. The Wellness Sanctuary is celebrating it's 15th year in business and have worked very hard to attain all the licensing and certifications we have in order to provide our clients with the proper treatments they are seeking. It hurts to have clients belittle all of your training and years working for the greater good just to appease their false sense of reality. With that said, we happily parted ways with Tanya and her negativity at our healing studio. She has then sent several emails, voicemails and texts to harass me. First time using Groupon for a massage. I bought two, my husband scheduled one and I scheduled one. Mine was prenatal and his was deep tissue, I think. We went a couple of days apart, but both had a great experience. She was gentle but firm on my prenatal. It felt great, will return. She also followed my lead in terms of whether I wanted to talk or not, which I like. Some therapists think you have to talk to relax, which is not my preference. Definitely give it a try. read more

I purchased a massage through Groupon because I've been experiencing a lot of back pain from working out. I called this place numerous times and left messages over the course of a couple of weeks. NO ONE ever answered the phone or returned my calls. They even directed me to a website that doesn't work....now that was pathetic!!! In every sense of the word. If your site doesn't work take that off your answering machine! Lucky for me I stumbled upon a few truthful reviews on Yelp. Ironically these individuals were experiencing the same thing I did, no one answering, no returned call, coupon approaching expiration, etc. Now, I usually don't leave reviews, I just enjoy reading them but this time was different. The fact that this place has so many 5 star ratings really made me wonder? I am all for supporting Black businesses but when you "show yo tale" I am out the door before you can even blink! After reading through what I call "the really helpful" reviews I called Groupon back in a heartbeat and told them what horrible service (or lack thereof) I received and that they needed to give me my money back before the coupon expired. No not Groupon bucks MY MONEY! This is unexceptionable and I wasn't playin' that. I'd rather spend a little bit more and go somewhere where they actually attend to their new customers. I impulsively bought a groupon for a massage, then couldn't get hold of her to make an appointment. Her voicemail message states that appointments can be booked on her website, which would be great if the site were not out of service. After trading phone messages with her I let her know of my frustration, at which point she insisted that her website was in fact up and running (which I admit is hilarious) and then let me know that she would not be able to see me. Groupon client here! I have been to lots of different massage therapists from fancy spas to someone's home. My goal is to get help with the decades of back and should pain I have. I have paid from $200 to $30 for an hour long massage. What I have learned is that it is the therapist, not the price, music, sheet quality or environment that dictates the quality of the massage. Tiana is a very experienced therapist and did a really good job on my back. I will be returning again next week and will also be scheduling additional sessions to get myself back on track. Next time, I will not show up 15 min early.. it isnt necessary like some places for you to fill out a bunch of paperwork, which I find annoying. I will be there 1-2 min before my scheduled appointment and know that there will be a sign on the door if she has a client and I will be let it when she has completed the session before me. She has lots of cancer clients, and you never know what may be happening on the other side of the door, so common courtesy is required. Parking was easy for me at 8:00am and you can bike or walk via the beltline. read more

Tiana offers a very relaxing environment to receive your massage in. She plays this really mellow jazz, which was a nice reprieve from the typical "massage music". My only qualm is that you cannot get couples massages (seeing as she is the only therapist on hand) but the trade off is a really personable experience, and a comfortable waiting area for you to relax in before or after your turn. read more
