It has been several years since I stayed at this property and was very very pleasantly surprised. The rooms got a refresh and the old carpeting was torn out and replaced with commercial grade hardwood look alike flooring which looked really sharp. It was very convenient, right across the street from the convention center. I forgot there was a walkway between the hotel and the convention center, which made it very convenient. There's a lot of construction going on there right now, but the hotel staff was superb.

Stayed at this property while in town for a conference. This hotel is connected to the convention center via a sky bridge, which is very helpful. This hotel is also huge, many floors and lots of rooms per floor. Lots of conference space/rooms within this hotel too. Check-in was very helpful, friendly, and professional. My room looked great when I got into it. It was nice and clean and everything worked properly. The TV had a great assortment of channels and even had Pluto TV, which is what I've been watching a lot of lately. Only issue I had with the room and housekeeping was on my second day, the house keeper did a very poor job of refreshing my room, taking only some dirty towels, while leaving one behind and other things that weren't tended to. Overall, I'd definitely return to this property in the future!

Loved this hotel! Right in the heart of Indy and THIS is what I expect from Westin! Excellent customer service, ultra soft beds that you don't want to get out of and CLEAN ROOMS! If in the area, plz stay here! Wonderful hotel.

If you're in Downtown Indy, the Westin is a great option. Like Motel 6, they keep the lights on for you, but offer a better experience (depending on your point of view, of course). 4 Stars for the hotel! I was here for a conference and their conference space is easily accessible from the lobby without miles and miles of walking, or tipping the valet for a piggyback ride. The conference food was some of the worst I've ever had at a Conference though. They really should be ashamed of the quality of the food they were serving. That's the reason for 3 instead of 4 stars. The rooms were nice but not as spacious as some places. Sure, there was room to move around, but I've been in bigger. The bathrooms were renovated with the exception of the shower floor which seemed like it could have used as redo. The front desk staff was awesome as she nearly walked me to the elevator to show me where it was. She was either being nice or thought I was a complete moron as they weren't hard to locate. Checking in and out was a breeze. Also, the conference staff was amazing as well. They were friendly, engaging, and did their jobs caring for the attendees very well! Super job to everyone I encountered that was a Westin employee. There's a restaurant in the hotel which looked ok, but there are plenty of other places within walking distance (St. Elmos was 5-10 mins away). There's also a cafe that had some decent coffee and some great looking pizza (I did not indulge).

Drove down for the eclipse and the Westin went all out! From the giant countdown timer on the wall to the Indy car in the lobby to the desk staff in astronaut outfits, it's clear they know how to entertain and make for a great experience. The hotel itself has been remodeled and is large enough to host conferences - a plus if you're looking to spread out and enjoy the facilities. There's a well appointed gym on floor three with everything you need. I was a bit disappointed that 2/3 of the pelotons were in need of maintenance. The lounge on floor 3 is also a great place to grab breakfast, have a drink, or work from throughout the day. Stepping into the room, you'll be delighted by the spacious bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of space for sleeping, working, and relaxing. The bed and linens are super soft and you look forward to sleeping in at the end of the day. An added bonus that this property is in the heart of downtown and steps to the capitol, restaurants, museum, etc.

Great location. Very nice hotel, spacious and clean room. Professional staff. Comfortable bed! Will be back to stay here. Only thing I had an issue was the sink had some issues with drainage. It was a bit slow....

Checking in was a Breeze ( I had called 1 time prior to this trip to line everything out) feather free pillows because of down allergies in the family. This hotel got it right. The warm reception from from the nice lady at front desk had me feeling like VIP!!! Thank you for that (Should be commended by upper management) (+1star) The room upon arrival smelled clean and IS clean. We had a short stay here to visit the Athletic Trainer convention at the convention center. The layout of the king bed and couch was really efficient. (+1 star) Surprised really The room was comfortable all around!!! The front desk staff every morning and evening was all smiles and very Friendly... (+1 star) they should be commended for being awesome. The security /cleaning/maintenance staff all very friendly and accommodating (+2 stars) I felt very safe coming and going from the Westin. This hotel location is easy to find and surrounding area has quite a few food/entertainment options within a short walk away. (+1 star) I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the beds were! Water pressure was good. We enjoyed the visit. We will return!! Respectfully, The Smiths A VIP feeling Bonvoy Member

I was told to go around the corner to the public parking garage and take the elevator down to ground level and walk back... to be honest downtown is super sketchy on a Friday night after midnight. Lots of homeless people on the streets and party mode from ... locals? When the elevator opened, we were horrified to see a mostly undressed, homeless man laying on the ground outside the elevator, and then had to exit through a super dark and deserted alley. Bottom line I do not feel like this was a safe option for a traveling mom and teenage son. I communicated to the front desk and hopefully to Management that they should offer the public parking garage rate of $45 instead of the valet rate of $90 for the safety of their guests after 11 PM. The lobby is gorgeous at this hotel, unfortunately the rooms do not even come close. As a Hilton diamond member we were given a very small room with two double beds that was clearly updated last around the year 2000. It had a great view of the alley that we had just exited through. And as others have mentioned, the room credit for food was laughable... The only two options were to order room service, which I did within the $50 limit I was allotted and yet with all the add-ons my bill came to over $74. Or I could have used it in the coffee shop that had no real breakfast options. Bottom line, with the issues that I experienced this hotel was definitely not worth the nightly rate. Unfortunately, I would not recommend.

Other than that, I loved that it is a Hilton hotel, and the fact that it was lower in cost by a lot once I utilized my Expedia OneKeyCash rewards. I must mention parking because it was one thing that made me selective of hotel stay in the area. At Home2 Suites, valet parking is listed at $45.00, but if you want to take a chance there are parking garages in the surrounding area which cost around the same price. I parked at the garage located within Regions Tower and paid only $50.00 overnight. And there is metered parking in the area, if you are lucky to find a spot. My experience with the receptionist working behind the counter was nothing less than professional. Since my room had already been booked through Expedia, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing of what the hotel offers, and giving me my room key. For your information check-in starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 12:00 AM! And check-out ends at 11:00 AM! Home2 Suites, as expected, appeared immaculately beautiful! After locating and entering the room I stayed in, I said to myself "Lovely" once I took notice of the room and its kitchenet area. It came with a refrigerator, dishwasher, a sink with garbage disposal, plus cabinets with dishware and pots & pans inside. Now the furniture in the room gave the room somewhat of a homely like feel. The couch, and the carpet on the room looked like something you would see in your grandmother's house I swear, tehehe. The workspace in the room had a rollable table along with a rollable chair. And inside of the bathroom, there were liquid hygiene products inside of the shower attached to the wall. Seems like hotels are slowly doing away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that make great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I was satisfied with the water pressure of it, as well as being able to toggle with the spray patterns. Other things the room came with that I noticed were an iron, ironing board, an extra comforter, and a few lamps with electrical outlets. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Served from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM on weekdays, and from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on the weekend; it was a relief to have the complimentary breakfast because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant in the area. Using a waffle maker for the first time ever was a fun experience I must say. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality of what was presented for the complimentary breakfast. I would surely book with Home2 Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of my interest in the city of Indianapolis. ~ Good vibes coming your way ~ Thomas G

That is poor customer service. Let me be clear. They were not busy. I woke up at nine a m with a paper under my door. I received a charge of $585!!!!! Now let me just tell you, i went in my room and went right to sleep, because I was exhausted for my day of travel. This letter told me that I had been smoking in the room and charged me this amount. I immediately called down a customer service and was told that they would take it off when the manager came in at eleven o'clock. I was somewhat relieved at this, so I went on with my morning and got ready and went down and waited. The manager assured me that they would not charge my card and that I had not been charged yet. They went ahead and charged my card for the room. I checked my card and I had only been charged for the room and a $50 charge for a deposit. The young woman who is working overnight, seemed very preoccupied and slightly annoyed when I had some pretty basic questions. This was completely contrasted by the young woman who was working in the morning. I saw her going above and beyond whether it was making sure the trash left for breakfast was taken care of or checking us out. Having worked in hospitality, I understand that anybody can have a bad night, but overall our stay was great and we would definitely recommend this place for anyone coming in town from one of the major events or anyone just looking to have a fun staycation.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in a long time, and I travel a lot for both work and…read morepersonal. I was in town for a conference, and last year I booked a hotel two months before it and my hotel was about a mile away (oddly enough, a Hampton Inn co-located with a Homewood Suites), so this time I booked in January. Customer service here was superb, from start to finish. After checking in, I received a text asking how everything was going, and during my stay I was able to send follow-up texts if I had questions or needed anything. In addition, I was able to borrow/sign out an umbrella one day when it was raining - there's a $25 fee if you don't return it that day, but it's a very nice service they offer. I realized I forgot a shower cap one day, too, and the front desk was able to provide me with one. Pros: -Huge and unique rooms. The building is from the late 1800s and has been repurposed into this hotel. I think my room was bigger than my first apartment! -Nice sitting area with a couch even though I had a king studio suite. Huge kitchen with full-size fridge and freezer, plus flatware and even cooking utensils. -Large bathroom area, although no bathtub, just a shower. -Free breakfast daily, and they even had almond milk and oat milk for cereal - I have to drink non-dairy milk exclusively and hotels rarely have it available. -Free cookies at front desk -The staff was super friendly, when I returned every day from the conference I was welcomed back Cons: -Very few from me, but: no safe in the room -Towels are small but that's normal for most hotels nowadays -Wifi was a little wonky - on my computer and work iPhone it was fine, and also fast, but on my Android/personal phone, texts were delayed. I'm going to chalk this up to my phone being weird. Overall I LOVED my stay here and would 100% stay here again. If you're in town for a convention, it's only a two-block aka five-minute walk to the convention center, too, which was great.
