I've been a loyal customer at Westside for years and it has been one of my favorite spots for a long time to get coffee and a bagel. However, I've noticed the quality has been slipping over the last few months which is unfortunate and I wanted to write a review based on recent experience. They have some of the best bagels I've ever had. They are incredible made from scratch bagels that are consistently good. The problem I have is in the preparation of them. The last five times I have gone and have asked for it to be toasted they have been warmed but not toasted. They are so much better when they are toasted and it's not nearly as good to eat a warm but not toasted bagel. They make pretty reliable espresso based drinks, especially the iced drinks. The hot drink consistency can vary depending on the barista that day. They are the only spot in town that has pour over coffee which is really cool and they have different beans from other roasters that they rotate for the pour overs so we can always try something new. Recently, they have been brewing the pour overs way too hot which leads to more bitter coffee and it can ruin the subtle flavors in some of those unique roasts. There are other things I have noticed but I think a lot of the quality slips have been due to high employee turnover rates. Some of my favorite baristas and employees left over the summer and I think they are struggling to maintain the consistency with new staff. I'm hopeful they can spring back. The atmosphere has changed because of the new employees and it hasn't been as welcoming of an experience since those employees left. There are still some great people but I do miss what Westside used to be for me. I'll keep going in hopes that things swing back in the other direction but I haven't been frequenting here as often as I used to (sometimes multiple times a week) because of the changes. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in cache Valley. Before we moved here, I was commuting up here for work and staying in Airbnb's. I literally ate here for breakfast and coffee every single morning that I was in town. They have the best coffee by far out of all of the local coffee shops and their breakfast selection is amazing. Cute little HOUSE shop. There's two parking spots in back and street parking. In warmer weather there is seating on the back patio. Inside you order at the counter. For drink, you pick up at the counter. For dine-in food, they bring it to your table. The food is home cooked in the back. No quick food here (meaning micro reheats), they are literally cooking what you ordered. Because of that, the food does take a little longer than your average quick fix diner. Westside offers a small breakfast menu and a small lunch menu. There are also rotational specials like their current no-name taco which is a breakfast item. Westside had many coffee drinks including seasons like Cadbury egg latte and offers loose leaf teas. I'm a breakfast and brunch person. Is this so epic I'm writing home? Finally! A good cup of coffee in Utah!!! My colleague said, "I think I found a place to grab breakfast that sounds like it will have good coffee" - based on most of our Logan, UT business trip meals, I wasn't giving his statement much credence. We pulled up - it's in an old house across the street from city hall (IIRC) Walked in - checked the menu- they have pourovers...hmmmm... Asked, "do you have any Ethiopian beans?" No, but try this bean from Rwanda... Checked the flavor notes listed and sounded like it was bright and in my wheelhouse. Ordered that and a two-egg breakfast. The coffee was good...really nice! Didn't taste like 'brown' like most of the coffee I've gotten in UT - it was complex. Eggs were cooked to order and well executed. The folks working there were all very nice - especially the young lady working the register - she was bright and cheery and very helpful in making our menu/coffee decisions. This cute coffee shop deserves 5 stars for great coffee, outstanding customer service, and for a clean, hospitable, environment. The shop actually looks like a house, so keep an eye out for their sign when stopping by. The downside is that it is a tiny shop that gets crowded fast (this is a good problem) and leaves very little room to wait for your order. The upside, they are quick and personable. They do not have very many sugar free options, however, the two that they offer were perfectly made. We did not try their pastries, but they looked fresh and inviting. It is a cool place to visit and we will definitely put this shop on our map to visit when passing through. read more

I stopped by for coffee and breakfast as I headed out of town. This place is in a darling home and is very cozy inside. With covid, there is no inside seating and food is takeout only. Love this coffee shop! It is so cute, they have different roasts for a pour over to try. They have vegan options which is rare in Logan! I like their smoothie bowls and LOVE their potacos. Vibe +1 Coffee +1 Food +1 Staff +1 "It" +1 I have been here so many times over the last few years, and am thrilled to see it has situated itself as a Cache Valley go to. Their menu is always great, and the quality and quantities are beyond what you'd expect. The prices are affordable, and the staff is so kind. I feel so, so welcomed here every time I come: whether I am alone, with my kids, with my dog, or even on a business lunch. Seating is a cushy porch, around a fire pit, out back under an old and shady tree, or inside the charming house (pre Covid...I assume we'll be back there someday).
