I would say it's more like a 4.5 stars but this place is awesome. My husband and I have been a few times and the food is always so good. Portions are large and I leave stuffed everytime. My visits to the creepy we're a couple years apart, but it was the same disappointment both times. The desert crepes are fine, however the savory ones are dry and leave a lot to be desired! Employees were nice. Each plate came out about ten minutes apart so there was 40 min between receiving first and last plate. The food was good except that the bacon was so burnt it was black and they served one plate with a side of brown avocado. Stopped here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. I appreciate the fact that they're open on Sundays and the staff were very friendly. The coffee tasted good which was a plus. The crêpe itself and the filling inside was pretty average. It really didn't taste like anything but sour cream. This seems like it is a fun hang out for the university students, but the food here wasn't that great. Nice to find the cozy Crepery serving a warm dessert for the cold evening after the nearby restaurant we had eaten dinner at didn't have any warm desserts available. The Crepery service was fast. Each sweet version we ordered was $6-7 each, though they also have savory styles (galettes) in set combos or make-your-own versions for up to a few dollars more. The filling of the sweet crepes was not as generous and plump as would be ideal but we didn't find them dry either. The crepes of my wife's ("Pin-Up") of cheesecake, chocolate and sliced strawberries and son's ("Scout Camp") of chocolate, marshmallow creme and graham cracker crumbs were decent. The Hershey's Chocolate Sauce was off-the-shelf boring, but otherwise they liked them. My make-your-own crepe of cheesecake, honey and whipped cream ($6) was far better, though was a little under-portioned on the amount of whipped cream. The Crepery also has espresso, hot chocolate and hot Nutella drinks available, also made to order, independent, and better price/value (it seems) than Starbucks. But as an espresso enthusiast, I didn't want one at the near-8 pm hour so can't speak to the quality. The hot Nutella almost piqued our interest. That wasn't the issue, the issue was when I attempted to eat it with a fork instead of holding the crepe like we used to before with the thin paper at the bottom. A short list of my tried-and-trues: The Mac Daddy (5/5): I have high expectations for any dish with the word "Daddy" in it, and fortunately, the Mac Daddy has risen to the challenge every time I've ordered. As if chicken, bacon, and soft avocado weren't already its own Holy Trinity of sorts, the secret to the Crepery's Mac Daddy masterpiece is its house-made dill cream cheese sauce -- dill weed, lemon juice, and cream cheese (don't knock it 'til you try it!). The mere memory of this savory, tangy, creamy creation comforts me when away from home. Medusa (4.5/5): The Medusa tastes the way Summerfest in Logan *feels* -- like sunlight and handcrafted beaded jewelry and those colorful marbled goat-milk soaps. (Weird simile -- but local to local, it makes sense, yes? No?) With white chicken meat accompanied by sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, arugula and asiago cheese, this savory crepe is not nearly as aggressive in flavor as the Mac Daddy. It's light, very tasty, and pairs well with an Italian soda on a hot summer day. Pepe Le Pesto (4.3/5): It's hard to go wrong with melted mozzarella, and I'm a sucker for anything smeared with pesto. Personally, I've grown a taste for spicier chais over the years, but this drink still makes my stomach feel warm and fuzzy. Syphon Coffee (4.5/5): A smooth dark roast and a great morning companion. Beyond great food, The Crepery's ambience is ridiculously charming. From the moment you walk in, it's as if you've stepped into an artist's gallery turned crepe shop. The walls are decorated with over one hundred paper cranes and framed art. One of the bathrooms has a mural of Salt-N-Pepa while "Push It" plays from a speaker in the corner. Potted plants line the center of the main concrete slab table, and the two hanging chairs at the front of the store always delight. Wasn't sure what to expect coming here. Pretty mixed reviews. Walked in and there is a long cement community table in the center where all are invited to sit and eat with each other. There are also a few smaller side tables. The place was pretty run down and seemed dirty. Some of the employees were wearing filthy clothes. Our crepes took about 15 minutes to prepare from the time we ordered. Overall they were good but we were disappointed that they were out of avocado for one of our crepes.
